Most of the people I personally know like this have deep rooted codependency issues and jump between partners essentially just to not feel alone (men and women alike). One of my best mates clearly has a type and it took me till 2 girlfriends later to realize he wasn't seeing the same girl. They all looked the same and there was practically no gap between.
