I was in a bad situation earlier this year and I had proof that she lied and people STILL harassed me over it. Even when you have proof of your innocence and take it to court to do so (when I did she admitted to lying and moved to an entirely different area) people still will treat you poorly. I had to abandon a lot of my old friends and basically build my life again over a lie and it hurt. Women have all the power right now.

That's where I agree. That's why I said there's a big difference between a 16 year old dating a 19 year old or some shit or a grown ass 30 year old dating a 16 year old or something. I'm able to see both sides but I can see why people are so cut off just to prevent anyone from being a victim like me.

I was abused by a 32 year old woman when I was 18 and it still traumatizes me to this day. I do agree that it's dumb to think that people can't consent until their 18 but there's a big difference between a 16 year old and a 19 year old smashing and a 16 year old and a 24 year old. And the post makes it seem like he's on the higher end of the spectrum.

Due to a very traumatizing event this summer I learned that you can have proof she lied, have messages proving she lied from her admitting it, try to take it to court and she takes back her statements and STILL have to deal with the stigmatism. Accusations spread fast but retractions don't. I realized that and I need to prevent further victims.

My liberal friends all put me down this path and I thought it was right because I know how hard it is to talk about sexual abuse. It took me a long time to come forward too with my own. Now I'm realizing just how many women really lie about this though so I'll be more careful from now on.

The thing I find most interesting is that in that letter she wrote towards him she was pretty adamant about not pressing charges until he saw that he blamed her completely for what happened and only cared about how it affected him. Pretty sure that would piss anyone off. That was a huge mistake.
