This is very true. I'm now with someone who actually encourages me to do my own thing. I get very overwhelmed by it at times because I dealt with 15 years of gaslighting, abuse, manipulation, and everything in between those to get me to hate everything about me and what I do. I legit nearly cry when my SO has no objections to me playing video games of all things.

From Feb up until that weekend I did everything I could to coordinate it. I even worked on my weekends to assist the customer and the engineers working under me. Come Monday my manager says that I am burning bridges with the workers, both other PMs and Engineers. I handled it directly with each one of them and none…

I don't know man, I had evidence that my manager was setting me up for failure, a lot of evidence and all HR did was say "managers discretion" And I don't mean simple things like "where are those TPS reports" either, I'm talking about giving me things to do that have no clear defined goals/steps, then telling me I need to figure it out/ask the team including him, and then not one of them ever helping me. Also having his pet be my mentor, who had serious concerns about me, yet each meeting I was …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
