The hard part for me will be leading the wife and daughters into a minimalist lifestyle. Can't force them. Lead by an example. Your wife will follow when she sees your neatly organized, half empty wardrobe. Get all of the clothes out and only return the ones that you really want to wear and would buy in their present condition. Iron everything, and organize them by purpose and color.

I like the versatility of your challenges. Wife is sick at the moment, but we still had a great family night yesterday, although I had not got much sleep after day two - staring the ceiling most of the night. Today I had to offload 20lbs from bench bar to complete a set. Regarding todays task, I got copy of KonMari as a subscription gift of a newspaper last October. Very quick read, it revolves around same ideas you describe above. The key idea in the book is not to ask "Do I need this item" but…

Instead if its 9 at night, i feel the urge, the wife is working so i cant go out, i just ask "do I have something more constructive to do now?" If the answers yes, go do it. If not...zip. Men's latent, unsatisfied sexual energy is the greatest force driving us forward. Imagine a male bird building a nest in spring or a whale swimming thousands of miles away from his home bay. If only they had longer arms and a thumb :) I'm sure MRP driven, quality men have - at any given moment - better things t…

So now that all of a sudden the poor dude seems to care about their relationship and wakes up early, takes care of shit in the household, minds the kids more than before, she says : "it's great! it's like having a wife!" This reminds of the recent divorce thread. It's the same actions that can be sign of weakness if done in somebody else's terms and under a covert contract. Do it for yourself, under your own terms and schedule and you emerge as a strong man who has his family's back. ... which r…

Yeah, ANY of real women cant compete the easy access to thousands of internet babes ready to fill our fantasies every given second. If your sexually is tuned to that, no wonder any lady (or ourselves) can't keep up with that. [broscience] Flatline is your numb, overdosed dopamine receptors not receiving enough to feel anything. Given enough time, they will heal. The problem is that once the paths are built, if you ever overdose them again, you are back to square one. [/broscience]

For me, I tried stopping. Not that I had a problem with staying up but because I thought it might boost my drive. It had the OPPOSITE effect. I really didn't think about sex much and actually developed a problem keeping it up because interest was so low and I was now anxious in my head because sex was an idea I didn't think about as much. This is well known side effect of NoFap, they call it "flatline". It will start within days and it may last anything from weeks for several months. I have done…

Nice, I've been playing with idea of wet shawing for awhile. Otherwise, I like your idea of hobby. I see wet shaving here only as a context. What ever you do, life is too short for half assed efforts. Do what you like and get immersed in it.

I did not read your post at all, because I actually began reading East of Eden two days ago, I'll save it for later :) The few books I've read from Steinbeck, he is overally pretty accurate and observant about human nature in his characters. The Wayward Bus is also very solid RP reading with alpha/beta males, dread, OI and effect of differing SMVs.

Wow, you have been busy building yourself a team there :) stacking the deck more in my favor that she'll have energy for sex later in the day. I sense a covert contract here. I'm with you on the leadership part, though. The kids are always ready to take the fun-train, and they respect the one who sets boundaries.

Agreed. The more I spend time with them for correct reasons, the more I enjoy it. About chores, funny thing is that there are very few "chores" in my life anymore. I buy food my family wants to eat (I really enjoy cooking), and I keep my place tidy because I like it that way. The kids most certainly are not a chore. Before I always managed to wrap even basic house hold acts within a hope for more sex. I even did things I really like hoping that she would notice. That really takes all the fun out…

I see a lot in common in your situation with my own. Assuming your situation is like you describe, that you really are in control of "all other things" like you said she is holding on the one thing she has control of. If after you initiate you "wait with your dick in your hand" you are not in control. The control stick is not yours to hold. Keep your member in your pants until it is needed. Stop caring about sex. You say you are having sex 1-2 times / week, what is the fuss with one time? If she…

(raising my hand from the back row) Excuse me, but is the mightiest MRP circle-jerk there has been this year? Given that out of 8200 subscribers only mods and couple of residents are participating, couldn't you've handle this, like, with PMs? It is one thing to call people Faggots or Bernies or whatever, but this explanation kinda takes away the glory to be one. Now my hamster is dead :'-( Yours truly, HandsOutOfMyPockets, a.k.a Pussy McFaggot

As /u/Sapean said, if you eat less than you consume, you will lose weight. Now there are several techniques to do this. They are called diets. But here is a caveat: If you aim just to lose weight, you may well do so, but you will get it back. The thing is, to be a 200lbs person, you have to eat like one. Your current weight may be anything from 130lbs to 400lbs, but if you eat like a 200lbs person, and keep doing that long enough, you will end up weighing 200lbs. To maintain your current weight …

Thank you, great breakdown. I have already started WISNIFG. But I must admit that in crave for help, I've sort of skipped the prerequisites.

Well, you fucked that up pretty good didnt you? I guess I did :) training wheels and all. She has been surprisingly responsive to my changes this far although some nagging and testing has been present. Sometimes I even feel she wants me be her alpha - giving me shit about my decisions and telling how it is all the same for her and then asking when I will go lift next and complimenting my new traits to others while I'm present. Given her out-of-the-charts response to a simple request, I guess it …

Yeah, I've probably misused the term "Main Event" here. Still expecting a major shit test here, that will set the general balance for some time to come. I think no one is going to nuke anything.

Thanks for the expanded summary. I appreciate the insight.

If one alarm goes off, it is kinda hard to ignore it. since I usually wake early, I'm kind of bad morning sleeper. But yeah, should've played it better.

You are correct. Knew it right the moment I opened my mouth after her shitty response. But with limited skills it was hard to steer to the clear anymore.

Yes, I'm some 8,5 levels away from FM/FY :) "The Main Event" may be a wrong term here, but she is going to challenge me. Thanks for your insights. I'll keep it balanced.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm in early stages and really didn't expect her to want to talk about my attempts to improve myself yet. The whole thing was agreed while outside, so she was trying to see if I was willing to make any more sacrifices for her. And yes, the "15 minutes" thing was down-right stupid, I figured it even at that time but she really got me off-guard with her initial angry response. I merely suggested that since we are getting up roughly at the same time, why not synchroniz…
