Objectively, your life isn't that bad: This is most teenage boys (I still have a crooked knuckle from breaking it on a wall). Again, normal for a teenage boy. Your family has a point - you aren't earning enough to pay bills but are waiting on your "big break" to make it doing what you love - again, most teenagers feel they're destined for greater things than a 9-5 but guess what, they aren't. There are a million producers out there whose beats are loved by internet randoms. If you really want to…

Ouch, it’ll be difficult to cut back if you’re loving it enough to train that hard, but you need to split the BJJ & striking into separate days and focus 100% on each. Give yourself the extra time to sleep. Your training will suffer long-term if you keep up a schedule that intense. By dialling it back, your short-terms gains might slow down but down the line you’ll be a better fighter & stronger person for it.

All my gfs have asked me this, seriously wtf is going through every woman's mind?

Whatever "training" you're doing, doing it for 4-5 hours every day at the expense of sleep is going diminish any gains and will hurt you in the long-run. It starts with being patient enough to refuse to sacrifice your health for productivity. Nobody in human history has ever had time in one day or even one lifetime to cram in everything they really want to do.

Well obviously changing your entire permanent outlook on life just isn't worth it if it takes longer than an hour.

If a barman asks "what do you want boss" then you just tell them. Maybe you're trying to fake it till you make it, but if that's not your angle then then you really need to work on literally not giving a shit and knowing you're not a <insert whatever insult is thrown at you here>, instead of having to work out how to appear like it.

acted stoic "Stoic" in this lesser-known context meaning "like a butthurt princess" Seriously if you're writing posts like this then your ego is very fragile and constantly trying to prove itself, so maybe work on that before compiling a spergsheet of shit-tests & alpha comebacks.

Is is just me, or is this sub full of guys who have one bad experience with a woman, then run here to cry about it and leap on the AWALT train? Despite your conjecture, poisoning people is not common or typical behaviour for anyone, not even "dangerous and covert" women. Yes women are statistically more likely to use poison than men if they want to kill someone, but statistically women don't kill nearly as many people as men anyway. If you're scared of being poisoned, TRP is the wrong place to c…

No crime, you're just coming across like every other young guy trying to make a point of being The Man, that's all - no need to keep repeating yourself. "If you have to keep telling people what you are, you ain't it." ~ Someone

she won't fully commit to you, and all of the time she will be open to a way out with other man This is how she'll always be regardless of how you act. You can emotionally bond without being completely & fully open all the time. Take it from an older guy - if you look at a relationship as a way to breathe a sigh of relief & "finally be myself" then you need to work on yourself.

This difference is also down to the propensity of women to be reactive and desire external leadership, and of men to be proactive and desire to lead themselves (and others). Even when a woman is single and living her own life, she'll often read signs and synchronicities into everything, as if she is being guided by God / The Universe / whatever, because she needs someone she perceives as higher than herself to confirm or deny her choices, or flat-out tell her what to do.

How about stop being such a martyr - you still have it better than a huge number of working-class people in first-world countries just a couple of centuries ago, and they didn't burn everything to the ground.

She wanted you in the moment, she got what she wanted, and now she's done with you - and you're talking about buying her meaningful gifts. Even if she likes you as a friend, she's not interested or invested like you are. You're her plan B, or C or Z, for when she's desperate. She's not being malicious, she's just being a woman. If this is your first time seeing the uglier side of female nature then count your blessings you're seeing it this early in life. There are plenty of women like her, and …

do you insult/make snide comments to people you respect? Yup, absolutely - and every other guy I know does, too. We're absolutely horrible to each other because it's hilarious, it makes our friendships more genuine, and we build mutual respect by giving as good as we get. It's exactly the same with a lot of women - they like a guy who gives as good as he gets instead of fawning and apologising. You sound like an old guy in a suit from the 1800s giving advice on how to woo a dame by being courteo…

Do you honestly think a woman will sit through all of this, actually listen, think about it, and then decide rationally to change a worldview that's clearly working for her?

There's nothing wrong or "beta" about emotional attachment, or enjoying the butterflies/honeymoon phase. A big part of learning to be a man is learning to control your emotions, not eliminate them. A couple of points: What you're describing is pure infatuation. I know when you're young you hate that word & think it's so much deeper than that, but you'll get older & realise it actually isn't. There's nothing wrong with enjoying that - it's one of the most intense experiences of your early life - …

Dont be afraid to feel what you need to feel. To me being a man is allowing it to be there and not letting it take the wheel. Don't push it down. Too many (mostly younger) guys don't get this. There's a 3rd way between bottling it all up because no-one wants to see it (which they don't) and letting it all out on your gf's shoulder - and that is accepting that you're human & working through it all yourself. Bereavement is a huge test of this ability.

It was so ridiculous I just laughed. She didn't know or care what it was, had never been to a class or even heard of it before. C'est la vie, if you live with a woman long enough she'll try to undermine absolutely anything.

lifting and martial arts Don't even rely on those, they're not "primal" enough for some women. I've been told going to Krav Maga class is feminine and beta because it's technically "self-defence" and a real man should know how to look after himself without being told how. City life just doesn't reach those truly primal instincts.

Your on your own. Everybody is selfish. Everybody wants to prove, build, or satisfy their ego. And I mean everybody. Also, a good reminder when having these moments is to invert them and remember I'm part of everybody: Everyone is on their own. I am selfish. I want to prove, build, or satisfy my ego. Otherwise you fall into the trap of victim thinking, where you're the only pure, giving, evolved soul on this planet full of primitive apes selfishly and unjustly making you suffer (something a lot …

If we have to choose men crying or men bottling up and committing suicide How about men learning to handle their own shit instead of falling into one helpless extreme or the other?

Exactly - nobody gives a flying fuck, not your family and not your friends, and certainly not your girl. So if you want real useful help you need to pay for it. I've benefited a lot from various therapists, but I've no doubt whatsoever that some of them (especially the women) were shaking their heads after I'd left & wishing I'd just man the fuck up - and then immediately forget I was ever there once the next patient turned up. So what? I give a fuck about me, that's why I paid money for the hel…

Perhaps I should clarify what I meant - there's a big difference between guys getting emotional as they talk about some deep issues & struggles, and a guy becoming an inconsolable emotional mess and crying in your arms, meaning he's lost all control and wants to be comforted. The first is about mutual understanding and support, and the second is more about someone becoming needy, clinging to any support they can find, and knowing that giving it to them will mean them coming back for more - and y…

Let's be honest, it's not just women. How would you react if a man started crying in your arms and unloading about childhood abuse? Nobody likes a weak man - women don't like them and other men don't like them. For many people, especially sensitive guys, it feels too harsh to be true, but when you're a man it's worse than "nobody cares" - it's more like people feel real disgust and actively attack and/or abandon you if you show weakness. If you need to physically vomit, you don't call up your fr…

This is what I always tell people who think men should be able to open up emotionally. Both men and women will say how unfair it is that men can't open up, so I just ask them "Would you be willing to listen, or do you just want to be listened to?" As with everything in life, people who claim to want "fairness" really only want to receive the benefits but not repay them - so yes, if you want real help then you have to pay an expert to pretend to care for an hour. The upside is, if you find a good…

...and this is how everyone learns, by fucking up. The only reasons you'd need to feel ashamed over this are if you'd ignored red flags & warnings, and/or blamed the girl and doubled down the simp behaviour. You didn't know any better before, and you do after, so you can chalk this up to a life lesson and laugh about it, which is more than most guys are capable of.

I don't know why the "never open up" thing is such a contentious point - well, actually I do, it's a knee-jerk sulky reaction to being shut down for doing it. It's more accurate to say nobody (male or female) likes a whiner. "Women say they want a sensitive guy but dump him for the asshole" is just a black-and-white victim tantrum. Women often do love a sensitive guy, they just don't want a weak one. Who does? You vet your friends the same way. A man has feelings, sometimes very intense ones, an…
