I think the subtle difference is that many feminists claim that the feminists that pull fire alarms and do all that bad stuff aren't true feminists. 8	Politifact disproves the claim that 70% of the worlds poor are women. According to the most recent data, females account for 55 percent of Americans living in poverty. I was definitely surprised to read this. If the majority of homeless people are men how do they end being the minority of those living in poverty? 1	Mother murders own child. Gets 3 years supervision. That is a totally valid opinion but as far as I could tell (maybe I glossed over it or misread) she's not receiving any sort of court mandated psychiatric help. 6	English Teacher, Allegedly Had Sex With 15-Year-Old Student - Once again, the Huffington Post doesn't use the term rape to describe the incident. They refer to the boy as the victim and say there might be other victims. I think this article is just fine. You can't expect them to use the term rape when by all appearances the sex was consensual and she's not even being charged with statutory rape. 7	CNN condemns Palin for saying Muslim lives are less valuable ... then say male lives are less valuable: "people were slaughtered, including women and children." I would say in this one particular instance it could be considered nitpicking but that phrase, "women and children", is extremely prevalent whenever talking about groups of people dying. It's definitely used in a way that implies their lives have more value or it was more tragic that they died. That doesn't seem to indicate it's a matter of social pressures (at least in the author's POV). 'Wired' definitely implies an innateness.
