What this guy said. The very concept of PPD means it needs to tread lightly, there are certainly times where hypocritical moments need to be pointed out in our mutual fight for equality, but this piece is obviously designed to stroke the anti-woman rage-boners of /r/trp and their ilk.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that any feminist would be horrified by this piece. The whole point of feminism is equality, judging people by their merits, not what's between their legs and all that, while utterly rejecting the stereotype of woman as first parent and homemaker.

The comic is not ironic, it's offensive. The juxtaposition implies that feminist concerns are hypocritical or somehow invalid because of men's problems. Circumcision is a problem and needs to be done away with, and that has nothing goddamn whatsoever to do with the fight for women's reproductive rights.

Yeah, you're totally right. In contrast to those two, Obama looked hip and young, he spoke like a regular person, and his motto of change is exactly what everyone wanted as the country was falling into the Recession. I never supported him, but I understand why he won.

Education can't fix human nature. It is impossible to eliminate bias, it's hardwired into our brain. Maybe when we can artificially modify how brains work, we can solve bias and discrimination for good, but until such a time, we have to find other ways to deter it.

I'd like to see a source for that claim. Bias is a human trait. I am a social scientist (a linguist, so this isn't my forte, but I know a thing or two), I have never seen any indication that any biases are stronger in one gender than another, and in fact, in the link I provided several sources that indicate the opposite.

I went to a terrible school. The kids were criminals,seven were caught theiving, breaking and entering, and installing remote control viruses on teacher's computers, and the ringleader got 1 day suspension, everyone else was left unpunished. I don't think I learned a thing in the entire time I was there. I'm still happy to have gone because of the friends that I made, and the things that other people were able to be taught, and for honing my writing, logic, and critical thinking skills.
