The UN is behind the circumcision, not UN Women. The gender wage gap is very real in places, even if it’s not in America. This is a global effort, stop looking locally. I went through the top 5 from that search, and that’s as far as I’ll go right now. Domestic violence against women and rape is fucking rampant in India. Two women killed their husbands? Thousands of Indian women die per year from domestic violence, and even a quick statistic showed that men die in the hundreds. Rape is practicall…

What about UN Women? They claim to be feminists, and don’t promote sexism. They prop up countries with serious gender gaps, and make decisions based on statistics from large, broad studies.

Just to be clear, since you’re taking a hard stance, all feminists are evil? Or could you describe what a feminazi is, and compare it to UN Women?

Got anything bad to say about UN Women? That’s where we donate and who we believe in. Are they fake feminists because they don’t do all this shady shit? You act as if the bad create the whole. This is a cell-based movement. Feminism, by definition, includes equality. That means that people claiming to be feminist while actually being sexist are not real feminists. I, on the other hand, by definition of the word, am. And I think UN Women are as well. But if you want to lump every single feminist …

My comment was automatically removed because I linked to some other subs, but the gist was: “What do you care?” She can’t be a feminist unless she has a Twitter account? She’s active on Reddit, and not afraid to call out the vocal extremists that ruin the image of true feminism.

That’s what I’m saying. Is men’s rights about equality? I thought it was advocating for the male issues society seems to not focus on enough, and the ultimate goal is gender equality.

Of course. “Kill all men,” is something she thinks is particularly stupid with the feminist extremists.

Neither of us believe in institutional marriage.

Any comment on the men’s rights name? Should we make a new sub with a more equality-focused name, or head over to egalitarian. Or are you saying this is not about equality, but men getting ahead? Just trying to understand.

Currently with my feminist girlfriend for 14 years. She’s awesome, and cares about male societal issues just as much as female societal issues.

McDonalds is no longer owned by a McDonald. Should they change the name because of changing times? Feminism started when the differences in how the sexes were treated was startling. It was about women gaining power, which they sorely lacked. Also, you’re criticizing the name of this movement at the same time...

Daily mail is such a shitty news site, constantly getting facts wrong and blowing things out of proportion. At best, this is one or two crazy teachers...

This is sort of stupid... The highest paying jobs are not manual labor. Furthermore, studies have shown not only a small wealth gap—which this might explain—but an actual gap in pay for similar professions and experience. Look, I came to this sub because I do believe men’s rights are something overlooked. I think our mental health is ignored, and the hypocrisy of social movements ignores us. We need a voice too. But! These are the kinds of things that make us look ignorant and sexist. If we want…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
