Not sure what's so bad about this. Guy said he was going through some hard issues, add in coronavirus issues too right now, seems normal. Then you posted a picture that probably reminded him of you and he wanted to reach out. He seemed pretty cordial also, so not sure what's so horrible about that tbh.

Right but a lot of the reasons she is in this situation is because of bad prior choices. I want her to be independent too, but I just wish it didn't have to result in invasive surgeries and other bullshit. Like she could just get a job like a normal person.

Yea, prior in the relationship she has bipolar and borderline personality disorder, they caused a lot of chaos in our relationship. Its taken years to try to get these issues under control with her eventually going to inpatient therapy for 6 months. Now things are finally 'normalizing' and this is next on the menu. I don't even know if those hormones will severely mess up her mental health or not. Her plan was just doubt dosing on her mood stabilizer. I don't even know if shes allowed to do that…

It's also possible that it is.

I just don't see how it's better for her to risk her ability to have kids with me and all the other ramifications in order to help a spinster have one, or how that level of self-sacrifice is a more noble deed than to those around her.

That you for the sincere reply. I have talked to her about it, I just don't think she's looking at long term realities and consequences.

She said If I went into the office, and still felt uncomfortable she wouldn't do it. But I highly doubt it, with her personality I guarantee she is going to do it either way. She put herself in a bad financial position so she almost had to do it also. She will blame me and resent me if she doesn't do it because of me, I already know.

Technically I have no right either way. She could do the same shit If we were married.

So you're saying she should sell her genetic offspring because she's not engaged.

We have plans for marriage and have been together for three years.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
