Agree with the sentiments that having a baby is a large issue for most young men, and most people will not really be completely ready. However, since you've already agreed to having a baby and 28, and now want to change that agreement to start trying a 26 instead, I suggest the following. Regarding looking for a compromise, if he will concede to your sooner time frame, perhaps you could agree to some lower spending, like agreeing not ask for a new house or car when the baby comes, or some other …

The short answer to your question is 'YES'. It is unrealistic for him to wait until marriage. Of course there are always exceptions. But, in this modern era, to ask for this quality in a man, you would rule out perhaps 19 out of 20 men. And, the ones that remain, who are actually willing to marry you, it puts you at a tremendous disadvantaged compared to women who do no require this trait. As an alternative, perhaps opt for a man with only one or few previous partners.

Don't STFU - but instead learn tact in your conversation and communication - learn how to gently tell someone they are wrong, while simultaneously making them feel good about themselves and you. Its an art form. I am certain there are many things between you two, where he is the more knowlegible / capable person. When doing the homework - work a bit independently, at the end you could simply provide him your answers and calculations rather than bring it up verbally.

Young guys are just starting out financing - he just graduated with a valuable STEM degree is is an software engineer. Sounds like he may have an extremely promising future, but he is just starting out with a very minor net worth. It seems very short sighted to be worrying about spending $35 for this guy, when he can potentially make millions in the future and completely support you. Marriage is for life - not just a six month timeframe. I've just hired a similar aged young man - and can confide…

FWIW - I find the Fresh & Fit show to have some distasteful content, and fairly mean to the girls as well. But, there are some hard truths there that can be quite insightful.

Very interesting discussion - you have great questions to explore. You should do what serves your own interests best, which probably includes obtaining a monogamous partner. But, glad that you appear to have an open mind in at least having more understanding of where he is coming from with his thoughts / opinions. I think the world would be a better place if we could all have a little less jealousy.

The Fresh & Fit guys are really talking about very high values males when they make comments like this one on men having such variety. For men in the top one percent - think income over 1/2 million annually, they can have more than one woman. I find that virtually all women do not want this - and hence 98% will disagree with this statement (of course its a negative for the woman if he has more than one). But think about it for a moment - if a man is highly successful (i.e. earning over a million…

If you had dumped the ex boyfriend, would you still be angry at your girlfriend now? Just trying to put this in perspective. Wonder if there is a better way to mentally process this event?

Sounds like the anxiety is all in your head. He has been working overtime to court you, yet you are the one who is afraid and pulling back. Step up to the plate and be the best you can be for him. This guy does not know how to spin plates. Holding back and withholding what he wants because of your fears can easily backfire and end the relationship.

I believe women can be just a straight forward as guys can be. But, in my experience, they never will be because they don't have the same courage as guys (and thats not a bad thing at all). BTW, straightforward is not necessarily easy for many guys. First, turn on the charm and make yourself highly attractive. One option here is to tell the this guy the various things you admire about him, and why you want to have a more intimate relationship with him - more than just a friendly thing for lunch.…

Generally, I believe RP men would think 21 is a bit too young for marriage. 27 is the median age for women getting married in the US, which is actually on the older side now. To your question, probably 24 to 28 years of age works well for men. The reason is that younger is probably not at an ideal maturity & experience level. Yet approaching 30 and above, the ideal age to start having an extended family is declining. Additionally, attractiveness is still relatively high in mid 20s, and men are q…

Keep in mind he is vetting you as well. Ask yourself how you are doing fulfilling those things which he is seeking. Do you think he is ready to be exclusive (gf) with just yourself? If you are providing him with a real rewarding relationship as well, that makes for a much better time to make the relationship more serious.

Irrespective of the entities or causes behind feminism, its effect is to make both men and women beholden to (slaves to?) larger powers such as governments and very large corporations rather than the traditional strength of the family. Men and women both loose access to the family and each other. Single mothers rely more on government and men are trapped in an isolated world where they have no family or lineage to motivate them to perform well.

Its always good to help your man and his career. However, quite a bit of tact is needed in this situation. If you are pushing him into something is not completely on board with, it could easily work against you.

Maybe you are making this too complicated. He is only 21. Give him some great sex - knock his socks off - and he probably won't even remember he was mad!

You cover a number of topics and concepts, somewhat difficult to respond to an overall theme. Clearly, the strength of the family traditional nuclear family has declined in recent decades (irrespective of the cause (s)). The result of these changes has been to turn men & women against each other. I would say the feminist movement has been hijacked to promote socialism and consumerism.

Some good points here. With the current state of family law (and other issues) in the states, it makes marriage an uphill battle for probably most men considering marriage today. To convince people to consider a different path than the modern mainstream narrative you speak of, I would look to people who are able reject the mainstream societal norms, and make make their own decisions in life. I would encourage long vetting periods , proving to the other person that you truly have traditional valu…

There is much to be appreciated about a significant age gap, which is more common in Europe. And it sounds like you two are preserving the love/excitement like the first day you met. Some successful men of that age are just getting started in building an amazing family empire.

Firstly - you two sound like a wonderfully cute couple! - You seem to be fawning over each other like teenagers! So many people should learning from your great attitude and bring such value to your relationship. You are probably the dream of every 1% man.
