You sure take these stories way too literally. Its is sad. And laughable.

You my guy, need to start living in the real world. Stop obsessing over rom coms.

Just because people like fiction doesn't mean they emulate irl. I mean if male validation is based on what romcoms women watch, then its bleak for you. Will you watch a Marvel movie and start throwing things around?

I do not base my expectations off romcom. Noone in their right mind does. If you are someone who assumes people want to be 'ambushed' sexually like in those rom coms you think women 'obsess' over, you're in for a rude shock.

Wow. You are literally assuming real life situations and women's need for sexual attention based on two good looking people enacting something extremely impractical on screen? Ryan Gosling's and Rachel McAdams' chemistry is essentially giving your average man a run for their money? Really? I can't stop laughing.

Exactly. I don't understand the entitlement. Firstly, seeking validation through sexual contact by itself is weird for me (I won't judge anyone else, to each their own). Secondly, people don't sleep with just about anyone for funsies - even casual sex has choice, standards and a degree of mutual connection. There's is absolutely no "undervalue" from women here when they don't even value a specific proposal in the first place!

I am married now but I faced a different kind of issue back when I dated. My father has always been present, engaged in our lives. I come from India and yes, it is a massively patriarchal society with clear, gendered expectations. I know of a lot of friends whose fathers wouldn't bother to lift a finger even to help their own kids with breakfast and school prep because it was a "wife's job". Not my father. I saw real partnership between my parents and a very equitable breakdown of responsibiliti…

Undateable mess is a pretty harsh term. If anyone has had any experience in life, they'll realise that a person regardless of being a man/woman is capable of exhibiting a lot of interesting traits, to downright boring personality, and everything in between. We just have our days!

I am sorry, but men who DO NOT double down with desperation are hard to come by. That's the biggest put off in dating world. And please, what is "undervaluing sexual attention"? You either have a woman wanting it OR straight up not wanting it. Doubling down because someone rejected you is so not it. And that deflated sense of sexual worth is man's own doing, not because someone said NO to them. I mean the logic that if a woman does not want to sleep with a man and that leads to a man questioning…

Is that your sole take away from this comment?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
