Worth it! I paid a little bit more for a studio for a couple of years but my mental health was rock solid. Living alone has got to be one of the best and eye-opening "adult" experiences there is. No need to compromise or appease anyone in your own space.

I often find that I pick something up to try, only to lose interest a few days later, or general daily life getting in the way

I always wondered why they consider puberty a symbol of adulthood only for girl. Would it mean a 13 year old boy is ripe for fatherhood because he can now get it up? It's only natural, a young father would be able to keep up with his kids

I actually found that my male gyno was more sympathetic to my requests than any woman gyno I've previously had. I was seeking sterilization and he listened to my concerns, weakly offered alternatives, but ultimately approved it. It took maybe 20 minutes max over the phone, with an added benefit of his surgery schedule being less busy than female gynos. I think he is just an awesome outlier though and not the norm.
