Going on a date in about half an hour, but to be honest, I don't even want to go. I've been putting myself out there and going on dates with girls from dating apps, but i'd honestly rather just focus on the gym and my friends. Don't know why I'm like this, maybe some day I'll feel ready. At least i put myself outside of my comfort zone

Q4W: How many points can a guy being fit add on the scale? I've seen this question answered before with "not a lot" but then in the before and after pictures used as backing, the guy in the before clearly hits the gym, he just went from buff with some fat to shredded. Curious as I'm slowly morphing into a gym rat, trying to go from skinny to muscular.

I've played sports my whole life, I go for runs, I consider myself to have a healthy, balanced diet, I golf often. I just cannot gain weight. I plan to start lifting and bulking when I go back to college this fall. I just hate looking at my twig arms and twig calves. I don't know how I can be attractive sexually to a girl.

This sub is depressing, but by no fault of its own. It just reinforces the cold hard truth that unless i get big and muscular and spend money on getting work done, ill probably never find what I want. Sounds easy to fix, but between career and academic pursuits, a social life, and hobbies, I just dont know how to find the time.

We need a sub where people honestly rate other's SMV (or whatever you people in this sphere call it). r/truerateme is good, but it's only for faces. Although it would probably turn into a shitshow when a guy who gets a decent rating takes that as an invitation to send dick pics to his raters. Agree or disagree?

Cheating at any level is the lowest of the low you can do. Sure, cheating when you have responsibilities and kids causes more harm, but that doesn't make cheating when you're a 20 something and single any better of an act.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 06:03 PM

how considerate of the women to only cheat when they don't have responsibilities.......
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 06:01 PM

or they're both equally bad because cheating is inherently an extremely shitty thing to do and there doesn't need to be a dick measuring contest on what "types" of cheating are worse?

Can't really think of any 7's or 5's, but a couple 9/10's would be: Emma Brooks McAllister Ana de Armas Honestly I can't really distinguish between 7's and 9's. A girl is either attractive or she isn't.

I don't think I've ever experienced true love, so I'll answer this from a standpoint of attraction, although that may not be what you are looking for. I generally tend to put girls into one of lets say three categories. Ugly, average, and attractive. There are some girls that are slightly above average (maybe a nice body or something), but for the most part, I wouldn't date a girl that I'm not attracted to. That being said, to answer your question, I really don't see much of a difference between…

Is consensual, loving sex a bad thing? I'm not sure what you mean by service, but isn't supporting your partner a good thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 07:08 PM
1

Well all men are different. I'm sure some want casual sex, but I think the vast majority of men do want a monogamous relationship. What else do you think men want?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:56 PM
2

Well of course--that's just symbolism for a loving, romantic, caring relationship in which we are mutually attracted to each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:53 PM
2

honestly, this is probably part of it too. I don't really want a stereotypical model type chick, but i do want someone i'm attracted to, but I recognize that in order for that, I actually have to be attractive to the opposite sex, which when I look in the mirror, i just dont see it.

My one homie is gonna help me out with that stuff, he's pretty knowledgable on that stuff. But I do eat a shit ton and just don't seem to gain weight lol. Thanks for all the advice btw.

Honestly, me and my friends go out to have a good time and not necessarily to pick up chicks, but yeah I think I've noticed it a few times. I got that attention too, but the last time was probably around 5 years ago when I was in high school. I was just too anxious and in a bad living situation so I pushed the two girls in question away.

Well I consider social skills, intelligence, humor, etc. to be in my control. But height, nah, I'm 5'10, weight, I've always been skinny, my eyesight sucks, my skin is both dry and pimply, and my face is slightly above average at absolute best.

I can chat up strangers pretty well, yeah, especially when I have some whiskey in me lol. I keep telling myself I'm going to start lifting but I genuinely find it hard when I have an internship full time and I'm pouring time into my social life and hobbies. I'm sure I'm just making excuses, I probably could find the time if I tried hard enough. Hopefully I start going when I go back to school in the next month here. I can chat up girls at parties and what not but I always just keep it to small…

Idk, theres two problems. First off, I'm not where I want to be attractiveness wise. I've been told I'm cute (probably like a 5.5) and I'm a healthy BMI, I'm just skinny and being honest, looking in the mirror I really don't know what I could provide to a girl sexually. I just don't see myself in a sexual way at all. Of course this way of thinking is super unattractive, but I can't help it. Second, I really don't know how to socially interact with girls. Lift weights and get bigger. Figure out why I still get pimples at 21 years of age. Explore plastic surgery and possibly get the bump in my nose from a baseball injury removed. But if "average" (the minimum threshold someone needs to be to be considered attractive), is dictated by our predisposed genetic attraction to certain qualities, it could not change depending on these factors. I.E. If you're a 5/10 in a crowd of 8/10's you're still a 5/10, not a 2/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 05:11 PM
1

Again, you're not understanding my point. Sure, that may be the STATISTICAL average, the textbook definition of average, but when 90% of people talk about "average" as it pertains to attractiveness/looks, they're not talking about the statistical average, they're talking about a person who looks nothing special, but not ugly either. Just because you're a 2/10 manlet standing with a crowd of 1/10 obese balding neckbeards at a bar doesn't make you any more attractive to the 8/10 girl sitting at …

I didn't intend to blame women at all for the norms, but I don't think its entirely men upholding these stigmas, I don't think its a gender issue at all. I think people of both genders perpetuate this stuff. But I think if you surveyed most women in western countries, they would strongly dislike the idea of their partner wearing makeup.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 02:23 PM
1

Don't feel like worthless trash, but just understand that the reason you're most likely average is because like 50% of the country you're in is overweight and takes no care of themselves at all. If 9 other people are standing in line next to you, whether 3 of them are obese and ugly or 9 of them are, that doesn't change your attractiveness to women at all, since what we're attracted to is something we don't get control over at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 02:13 PM
8

That's chemicals in your brain deciding what's attractive and what isn't. I dare you to try to have sex with a 450 pound overweight woman who is the nicest, most kind woman in the world and be attracted to it. Try it and tell me if you still believe that you choose who you're attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 02:09 PM
5

Statistically average, yes. But most people don't use average that way when it comes to looks, they just use it to refer to their minimum level of attractiveness. And you don't get to choose that 9 out of 10 bananas don't taste sweet to you, its just how your tastebuds are.

Welcome to society. Words get appropriated and take on new meanings every day. I don't think most people consult a dictionary in their day to day life.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 02:06 PM
5

I'd challenge that the 85th percentile is not hard to reach. Most men don't take care of themselves (saying this as a guy), and that's why 85% of men don't reach the level needed to make a women's brain chemicals go crazy. Also, I highly doubt that a woman with no makeup is considered in most men's definition of "average". Most women spend hours doing their makeup, skincare, and beauty routines daily. Women don't get to just show up and be hot, unless they're extremely attractive (top ~5% I'd …

It's cultural stigma and societal norms. I'm willing to bet you if a guy wears makeup and that gets found out, in most western cultures, he'd be looked at as feminine and less of a man. We're ingrained with that from our birth. Hell, most men can't even get plastic surgery without being fearful of looked at as less of a man for, DARING to care about looking good.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 01:57 PM

Words have meanings, but often those meanings fall prey to alternate interpretations based on cultural factors. The true definition of average is a statistical average, but when you ask people about "average" when it comes to attractiveness and looks, I can almost guarantee that most time, they're thinking of someone that's the bare minimum they're attracted at least somewhat to. I may be somewhere in the top 45-50% of men, but that doesn't mean I'm meeting most women's standards for attractiv…

/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 01:07 PM

Except "average" in this context refers to a standard of looks. Nothing special, not hot, but not ugly either. So yes, it is very much possible for 80% of men to be below average, especially when you consider most of us do the bare minimum when it comes to taking care of our looks and bodies.
