Racism is prejudice or discrimination against someone on the basis of race. Of course, it's not appropriate for a workplace to have a racial preference to hiring white people over black people. That's racism. If the same thing happens in relationships, that's also racism. Where in the definition of racism does it say it's not racism if it's a relationship, but it is racism if it's a job? The definition of the word racism doesn't say it only applies to things such as jobs, but it doesn't apply to…

Perhaps by Red Pill lifestyle, OP is specifically referring to spinning plates? Can you clarify, OP? Regardless, Red Pill concepts definitely apply to women in their 30s and 40s at least. There are men who have used it with women in those age ranges. If you want, you can go try it out on 50 & 60+ y/o women and report back. If OP is 26, I think there will be other reasons those older women aren't into him though. Don't blame it on the Red Pill. See the other discussion here for a list of reasons:…

I didn't even realize YouTube allowed videos like the ones you linked. It's important to note that not all "try on haul" channels are like the ones you linked though, so I wouldn't necessary blame all "try on haul" videos. If you're specifically talking about the ones that contain nudity/see-through clothing like the ones you linked, then it's an interesting topic you bring up.

The core concepts of the Red Pill aren't necessarily misogynistic in itself, however I feel some people in the Red Pill community can act in a misogynistic manner. Let me explain. The core concepts of Red Pill are based on evolutionary psychology. There is science behind human mating strategies. One of the earliest contributors to material in this area had a background in psychology. Red Pillers want to know how the game works and then use that understanding to play the game in the most effectiv…

There are different cultures around the world and there are different states/countries. There are plenty of cultures left where more traditional arranged marriages still take place (some parts of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East). In some parts of the world, there are still even uncontacted tribes that don't have electricity and still use bow and arrow.

Your original post specifically focuses on red pillers though. The equivalent for women is Female Dating Strategy (FDS). It would be interesting to know why you think women of FDS don't participate in the 4B movement or WGTOW. Why doesn't FDS go their own way? I feel that's the appropriate analogy. Nobody is denying that some men and women basically drop out of the dating market and just decide to stay single. I actually think FDS is more toxic than the red pill. FDS throws around more insults a…

OP could ask the same question to women of FDS why they simply don't participate in the 4B movement or WGTOW. I think she'll get a similar answer.

While that may play a small role, that's not the main issue. It says "nearly half of all young people are single, with 34% being women and an astonishing 63% being men." If you look at the original study, when they say "young people," they're referring to 18 - 29 year olds. One of the main reasons for this is because older men outside of the 18 - 29 year old age range are dating younger women. This makes women from that 18 - 29 age range less likely to be single, and also men from that 18 - 29 a…

For the flashing incident, in most states, it's actually legal for women to be topless as long as it's not for sexual reasons. Though it's arguable this was sexual in nature, it's legally not seen as bad as exposing genitals. The article you linked said she was in police HQ at the end, so she likely got charged with something.

I think it really depends on your details. When some men here think of the term "woman" they only think of women they find attractive. The women that are 20+ years older than them are invisible to them and they don't even think about their experiences. From friends I know that are 40+ years old, some of these women do have problems getting a serious monogamous relationship. Sometimes they get pumped and dumped. I know some that haven't had a boyfriend for years even though they're seriously look…

It seems like the average man on this subreddit is in their 20s, and has had a really bad love life, either without experiences or experiences that left him bitter and jaded. I completely agree. I feel it actually gives this sub a clear bias by having so many younger men here. Don't think all men are like the ones posting here. Younger men in their 20s are overrepresented here.

Agreed it's different. I will explain why. Insults that can't be proven true or false are not defamation (by definition). An insult like bitch is never defamation. It's someone's opinion if they're a bitch or not. You can't prove it true or false. Being a "bad date" is your opinion and isn't defamation either. Just because it's mean, doesn't necessarily mean it's defamation. It's defamation if someone knowingly makes a false statement about someone and causes them harm. "Examples include claimin…

If someone disliked you and intentionally published false information online about you (to be found by all potential employers), you don't think you should have any recourse? Nowadays with AI, someone could even create a fake video of you doing something inappropriate/embarrassing and put it on social media or get it to the top of search results whenever someone searches for your name. You don't think defamation lawsuits should be a thing? I suppose if you want to go back in time before disputes…

People aren't necessarily saying they can't do anything about it. They could override certain biological urges with their mind, but I feel you would need to give them a good reason why they should do so. Is your problem primarily with the actual actions/behavior of these men, OR is your problem with how these men justify their actions from a biological perspective based on what some of their ancestors may have done? A man who willingly adopts the caveman essentialist arguments to defend what's masculinity is detrimental to Men's Rights because they conflate redeeming masculinity with restoration of old values/times, in which language wasn't used and 'civilization' barely existed. Can you give some examples of how men do this? I'm talking about the average modern day man, not some extreme case of a man who committed a violent crime and ends up in prison. I know how much was actually paid. The case hurt her reputation and career and she had to pay a lot of legal fees. It cost her millions. The money is nothing to Johnny. He's rich. If she married you, then I wouldn't worry about it. She married you because you were the best option she felt was available. Some women are alpha widowed meaning they had an opportunity to date/have sex with a high value man, but the man had a variety of options and only wanted to have sex with her and wouldn't seriously commit to a real relationship with her. I feel it's biological but in the sense that people find younger women to be more attractive whereas older men could potentially be seen as more attractive than younger men. People value a woman's youthfulness more, which is why significantly more women often use makeup, skincare products, and get plastic surgery to make them look younger. It would be problematic because you can practice/study for IQ tests (which technically is supposed to make the results invalid). If you keep practicing the types of questions you get on IQ tests, you can learn to do them very well (though you're not necessarily actually more intelligent). The same kinds of questions & patterns pop up all the time on these tests. If it really mattered, we would have people start gaming the system.

My theory is that a lot of girls have experience either attempting to date or dating short boys who haven’t gone through puberty and don’t have a normal relationship, which is why we’re generally hardliners against dating shorter men. Don't you think a lot of guys also have the same experience with short girls yet the same thing doesn't work in reverse? Guys ask out and get rejected by shorter girls all the time.

OP said the case he posted was already dismissed. That's not the point of his post. He said the point of the post was to discuss lawsuits surrounding allegations that are factually untrue. If you simply had a bad dating experience, that's not a false statement in itself. As I said, it depends what was said. Sure, one could say it's a slippery slope, but at the same time, it's not right if someone goes around making false statements about you. How would you like it if someone did that to you? People can win defamation lawsuits. We've all seen instances of this in the news recently, such as with Depp v. Heard. If your statement is truthful, then you shouldn't have anything to worry …

I think the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard defamation case showed that you should expect to get sued if you go around lying about things to try and hurt someone's reputation. I would absolutely sue someone if they went around spreading lies like OP mentioned in the original post. How would you like it if someone falsely spread similar lies about you? If you're going to make a statement about someone, it should be a true statement.

It depends on what "mean things" were said. If you're spreading lies about someone defaming them lying that they raped you, or falsely stating “he has a micropenis and watches scat porn,” you'd better expect to be sued. That's not right. How would you like it if people spread lies about you stating you abuse your children or that you abuse your husband just like Amber Heard? You don't think you should have any recourse? Men and women are obviously not the same in all aspects. Clearly there are physical differences. Perhaps it would be more interesting if there are specific aspects of equality you want to discuss where it's debated that men and women are equal? i.e. Equal in what way?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 01:22 PM

You're focusing too much on the "best sex" part. Just because someone is good at sex doesn't mean that partner is the best person to marry. Guys do this also. You don't choose a partner solely based on how good they were at sex. You choose based on a variety of factors. The people that have had the most sex in the past are more likely to be better at it, but you're probably not looking to marry the most promiscuous woman possible just because she's better at cowgirl.

I actually think we agree on most items regarding relationships. The main point we seem to disagree on is how this relates to the Monty Hall problem. To me, it seems you're just trying to illustrate that the men are usually the suitors and the women usually only choose from those who pursued them. I agreed with that part in my original response to you. Are you trying to illustrate more than that by referencing the Monty Hall problem? You're conflating dating/sex vs. marriage. The most Red Pilled guys will have sex with or date the OnlyFans models, but they often just want to spin plates and have no intention of marrying them. I also hear from the Red Pilled guys that they don't want to marry women that work in the sex industry or are so promiscuous. Both can be true. It can differ depending on if you're just having sex with them and spinning plates vs. marrying them.

The cutoff for women being able to reproduce is probably because of evolution. If an older woman were to get pregnant, it would increase her chance of death during pregnancy or childbirth, so the trait was naturally selected against. For example, a 60, 70, or 80+ year old woman being pregnant could potentially be a risk to her life. If all humans were to live longer, such as to 200 years, and we were relatively fit at 100 years old, we would probably evolve so that women could have children unti…

I'm specifically wondering how each part of the Monty Hall problem relates to relationships in your analogy. For example, perhaps you're implying the woman is choosing from the 2 doors in the Monty Hall problem. I disagree with this analogy because: In the Monty Hall problem, the car (what the person wants) is ALWAYS behind those two doors. In relationships, the person that the woman wants to be in a relationship with isn't necessarily one of those people that pursued her. In my example before, …

People don't exactly think of it like you're thinking of it. However, I do think the idea is ingrained into society in a different way. Parents do pressure their children to get into relationships before they get too old. When the children are in their 20s, parents might ask if they're dating to push them in that direction. When the children are in their 30s, parents might keep bugging their children asking when they're getting married or when they're going to give them grandchildren. When the c…

Don't take this as disagreement with you. I just want to clarify a few points. In the US, as early as 1862, women could have opened their own financial banking institutions to serve other women if they wanted. That's what happened in 1879 when Sarah Howe opened a bank called the Ladies' Deposit Company in Boston to serve women (though she ended up defrauding customers). There were other women's banks as well such as the First Woman’s Bank in Tennessee in 1919. Citation: https://daily.jstor.org/a…

It's because women often mistake those dark triad traits with attractive traits. For example, a narcissist may come off as confident. A psychopath may come off as stoic. I didn't say there were. Sheryl Sandberg was recommending women date the "bad boys," but don't marry them because the traits that make bad boys sexy don't make them good husbands. Some people (including women) have certain preferences for sex/dating and a different preference for who they marry. Going back to your original contention that "the idea of men wanting traditional pure wives is false in reality," perhaps this explains it better: Some argue that men have an aversion to marrying promisc…

I think you're really over exaggerating this. I don't think it's rare to find a woman that's quite reasonable about this. If you feel used and taken advantage of, then don't date her anymore. It's a huge turn off for me if I feel the woman is taking advantage. I can imagine how terrible things would be like if I married a gold digger like that. That's not for me. I agree. When people cite statistics like this, people know they're being intentionally misleading. It weakens the message if people feel you're being disingenuous. Even when people cite rape statistics, people already know that it's greatly inflated to make it sound like a huge problem. We're not necessarily saying they're not physically attractive anymore. If you're saying there are guys you've happily fucked that you wouldn't date, it's probably because there are some attributes they have that make them undateable, but you don't care so much about those attributes if you're just having sex (e.g. maybe you think he's hot, but uneducated). If a guy used the terms "She's for the streets", "For recreational use only", "Low value woman" (as in your original post), they're saying t…

It's as I said in my original comment. You keep conflating the bar for fuckable vs. the bar for a serious relationship. You would shake a guy's hand or hug him even if you wouldn't have sex with him, right? Why? It's because the bar is different. For guys, the bar for fuckable is different. We view them as bad in the sense that we might not see them as marriage material, not that the act of sex would necessarily be terrible. Don't conflate the two.

There's a difference between having sex with someone and having a relationship/marrying someone. Women too often conflate the two. For guys, just because he would have sex with her, it doesn't mean he sees her as serious relationship/marriage material. The bar for fuckable is a lot lower. Don't get an inflated ego just because someone would fuck you, but they wouldn't marry you.

South Korea’s birth rate halved as a result of this movement gaining traction That's not true. First of all, how did it halve? Secondly, Korea has always had a declining birth rate for the last three decades. The birth rate decline has actually slowed (not increased) since 2019 when the 4B movement started. That is an extreme case, but it happens at a smaller scale all the time. The wall is just indicating how many women inherently know they're most desirable in their 20s or early 30s and that would be the best time for them to marry the highest value man possible, otherwise their options will not be as good later on. For example, one of my single friends said she "wants to get married soon before all the good guys are taken." <-- this is really just a euphemism for the wall.

That's not true. Scientists can create artificial wombs, but right now they're generally held back by ethics. Right now there's "a 14-day rule prevents human embryos from being kept in artificial wombs longer than 14 days." Here, I think a lot of men also have an implied bias where even the word “woman” only brings to mind the attractive young lady he would like to bang. The woman who’s been working at the post office longer than he’s been alive, the lady with the mobility scooter at the grocery store, they’re not “women” to them so, in their minds, they’ll still date any breathing woman. I agree with the post, except for the "isn't fertile anymore" part. I completely agree women too often conflate being able to get sex with being desirable for committed relationships/marriage. The two are not the same. I think too many women intentionally misinterpret "the wall" as meaning a woman's value magically goes from high to low overnight at a specific age. That's not what "the wall" means. The concept of the wall just means that a woman's Relationship Market Value (RMV) declines a lot a…

The 20 y/o he'll take seriously and the 35 y/o could be just to smash" Which is true to some extent. You're putting too much weight on the sex part and not the committed relationship/marriage part. The two are separate things. Just because a guy would have sex with a woman, doesn't mean he would wife her.

I agree it's more likely to happen to older women, but I would say it's based on a person's Relationship Market Value, not just age. A man doesn't only solely take into account the person's age. He will take a variety of factors into account. It can happen to women of all ages. It's just a bit more pronounced in that example. I'm just trying to illustrate that when we talk about "pickier," it completely depends whether we're talking about just dates/sex or we're talking about a committed relatio…

Accepting a date is completely different than being in a serious committed relationship with that person. Accepting a date can lead to sex, which is why men don't mind accepting the date. Being in a committed monogamous relationship with that person is a different story since that means not having sex with other potential sex partners.

The preference for younger women comes from biology and natural selection. Men are attracted to fertile women that are more likely to produce successful offspring. Attraction decreases as fertility decreases. It's not a conscious choice. While I wouldn't necessarily define "the wall" as 29, there is scientific evidence to show that once women are less fertile, men's attraction to them decreases. Women's standards are inflated for a variety of reasons. Some higher value guys (e.g. a 8) don't have a problem swiping right on lower value women (e.g. a 5) and having sex with them, even though they'll probably ultimately not be serious about having a long term monogamous relationship with them. You can't really tell by only looking at success rate. There are some people I know with very high success rates, but it's because they only have the confidence to go for lower tier partners. This isn't necessarily ideal. There are some people I know with lower success rates, but it's because they often go for the most attractive partners (and often fail, but sometimes succeed). There's a difference between sex and a monogamous committed relationship. Yes, men have lower standards for having sex with someone. It's both. Why do you think it's one or the other? It is a market. In this marketplace, most participants make decisions based on their own personal romantic feelings. If a lot of attractive people like a specific person (for whatever reason, including personal romantic feelings), that person's value in the market is likely to be higher. That person is very desirable. If nobody likes that specific person, that person's value in the market is low. That person is not desirable. You would have a ha…

They often brought middle eastern men as a blueprint of how men should spoil women In Muslim countries in the Middle East, they're allowed to have up to 4 wives as long as they can take care of all of them. In some places in the Middle East, women's rights aren't so great. I'm sure some men here would love to import Middle Eastern culture to the West so they can have 4 wives.

I know people are attracted to what they can’t have People are not always attracted to what they can't have. I will not give you a bottle of my bodily fluids, but it doesn't mean you're going to start wanting it just because you can't have it. If humans are extremely loss averse Who says humans are extremely loss averse? I'm sure she would prefer not to lose you, but that loss isn't nearly large enough to force her to go out with you if she doesn't want that.

Okay fair enough.

Okay, care to explain? You previously stated "They're the passive actors they would't be looking for one they just expect it to appear." Though wouldn't you say the act of a woman creating a dating app profile and using the app and taking the time to swipe through profiles would be considered actively "looking for one" and not "just expecting it to appear"? That act is not as passive as people meeting in-person where a man needs to take the initiative to go up to a woman, talk to her, and court …

That's interesting.

I think it's better to tell your partner what you'll do. You try to work it out, and if you can't reach a resolution, it's better to blatantly tell them (in a nice way) that you'll have sex with other people since they're not meeting your sexual needs. I don't think it's cheating if you tell them ahead of time that you no longer agree to sexual monogamy with them (but perhaps you want to keep the other aspects of the marriage).

I understand that historically when people met each other in-person, women were more passive and men were often the suitors in relationships. Nowadays with dating apps, are women really that passive? To some extent, the actions a woman takes in a dating app are similar to the actions a man takes (i.e they both create a profile advertising they're single, they both swipe right, they both message each other). Do you think that today with dating apps they're just as passive as historically?

Not necessarily. However, there's ambiguity in the statement. Ultimately in reality, men won't be a fan of the statement (even if they pretend to support it to be politically correct). It's just like how women would also not support the saying "the future is male."

Why can't men's priorities be considered an honest intention? Stop trying to demonize male sexuality.

I can see what you're trying to get at. I might slightly agree. However, I disagree with the following: In the first example, you're talking about someone interpreting someone else's non-verbal communication. One could argue that the person trying to communicate the message (i.e. the sender of the message) bears some responsibility for correctly communicating it in a manner that ensures the recipients understand the message. i.e. if someone "wants to leave" or "is trying to get someone's attenti…

If men as a collective woke up and said, "hey women, you have no rights... I disagree this could reasonably happen. Just like there were some women that once said that if all women stopped having sex with men, then they would be able to force change. Then one woman called for other women to do that, and nothing happened. It's not reasonably possible that a man would be able to get all other men to do something like this. Just like it's not reasonably possible that a woman could get all other wom…

There was a New York Times article and several studies that showed that when the one child policy was in effect, many parents didn't necessarily kill their newborn daughters, they just hid them from the government (meaning they're alive but not counted in the official numbers). This has caused some of those undocumented girls to now have problems going to university or getting a job. That is what the article and the studies were reporting on. There are many undocumented women in China that aren'…

I would recommend you change fields ASAP. The people who are successful at computer science are the geeks who really love every aspect of it and spend a significant amount of their free time on it just because they want to learn everything about it. I know several people who got degrees in computer science, but their heart was never into it. They never put in that extracurricular time, so they weren't really too good at it and were never able to get a job in the field. Any field could potentiall…

I didn't. She had heard of it before and brought it up on her own, but I don't think she knew many details. I also said I didn't know much about it.
