probably would get bored of one real fast since actual trad women tend to not want to do anal and are usually annoyingly religious. Nor do they want to be trad men by being the sole breadwinner for a large family or never go out partying again or going to church every Sunday. Where can I find these trad women? This is basically me, lol (annoyingly religious, don't want to do anal, wants to be breadwinner for a large family, and don't party).

If sex is the basis for everything, how do you explain monks who go live in the forest in Thailand and just meditate and teach?

I think that book the article cites got debunked. https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2019/6/4/18650969/married-women-miserable-fake-paul-dolan-happiness So I still think your conclusion is not supported.

This doesn't really respond to my objection to your conclusion. In regards to married men living longer than single men, it's possible that the single men cohort is held down by single men who are more violent or criminal than average. This, as opposed to support from women, is an alternative explanation to the statistics. I think that men, on average, simply take more risks than women, which could explain why there are more men who are on either end of the social success spectrum than women. Mo…

I'm afraid I don't see your point. How does closing the gender wage gap effect these women?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/20 04:53 AM

I was actually shocked by how terrible most men are. Just out of curiosity, is there any pattern in the location in which you found these men?

Honestly, most of your statements are just subjective and are utterly unverifiable. But just to pick at one of your claims here. You seem to focus very much on the gender wage gap, saying that without this gap, this will cause women to realize men are unworthy. But closing the wage gap isn't as significant as you think it is. Closing the wage gap merely means, on average, men's wages and women's wages are equal. It follows, therefore, that there will still be women with below average wages who w…

I don't think it will happen in the next decade. But maybe 50 years from now we could see something. The higher birthrate of religious vs seculars doesn't mean religion will replace secularism. But it does mean religion will always be around, until the time is right.

The world will burn down before that happens xD With global warming happing at it's current rate, we just might get there.

Women bring value by their mere existence. This isn't a scientifically true statement. As the theory of evolution shows, biological "value" is really determined by biological context. For example: Men have actively excluded women from the workforce in order to be able to "provide for them" and force them to stay with them via coercion. If women were so valuable, why were men able to do this to them? And why couldn't men do it again?

Why are people so obsessed with sexualizing Greta. You're probably just falling into a logic trap. It's probably the new best way to trigger feminist liberals (who are also likely obsessed with climate change.

I'm no rahrah patriot, but America's malleability as a culture has been an underpinning of its success. I like your post but I have to nitpick on this. During the 2000s, when I began following the news, I kept on reading news opinion articles about how polarized we were and how bad that was. But they would always end with "well we're adaptable/flexible/we learn/openness to discussion is our greatest strength, we can overcome this." 10 years later, now we have President Trump and all these issues…

Fringe group of loosers? r/GenderCritical has 50k subscribers. That's more than the PurplePill! Heck, I just realized this. r/Catholicism, a world religion with a billion adherents (on paper) has 80k reddit subscribers, but r/GenderCritical has 50k subscribers! Yeah it's reddit, but I wouldn't call r/GenderCritical that fringe.

But unlike TRP, I believe the 80/20 rule is rational and justified. The TRP doesn't believe the 80/20 rule is rational and justified? That's news to me!

More women will realize that a great majority of men are nothing but a burden to them. More women will choose to stay away from men/relationships and maybe pursue only a minority of men that is worthy. So then, you agree with the red pill about the 80/20 rule and hypergamy? It really is incredible how you see the claims of the red pill affirmed in all these different places and ways. EDIT: maybe I shouldn't call agreement with HelenicLady an affirmation of truth!

Females are responsible for social cooperation? What if I told you, neither gender is responsible for social cooperation. People are responsible for social cooperation, and men and women are just subcategories of people who sometimes take on different social roles. Anyway, your comment misses the point. The author is not talking about social cooperation, she is talking about social reproduction which is a different concept. Social reproduction is about the creation and maintenance of social bond…

But the author of the article I liked to isn't part of any pill ideology! This is why she is interesting because she is, perhaps identifying things noted by these different social groups but from a totally different perspective. And this wouldn't be the first time I've seen something like that happen, which is one reason why I think the issues the pill ideologies talk about are definitely real.

But is there significant increased demand? I just can't see hordes of women who have focused their entire lives on their career going "hey, I'd like to have children, let's be a single Mom." I can't even see well educated, successful career women opting to be single Moms becoming even a prominent subgroup in the social landscape, let alone the norm as you are saying.

I imagine the statement Single women have longer, happier lives than women with husbands and children, while it's the opposite for males is support for this conclusion: Older women tend to be more single though as they realize after time that being single makes them happier. I've heard this stat before, but, just to push back a bit more, I have to wonder if the conclusion follows from the evidence presented. Men have higher crime rates and are exposed to more violence. I imagine more violent men…

The entire reason pill ideologies exist is because they are about what the author calls social reproduction, that is "ties between generations, and between friends, families, neighborhoods, and community". And as the author notes, gender roles and relations are fundamental to this social reproduction. Every pill ideology is fundamentally about holes and gaps in the structure of gender relations. Each pill is a different reaction to these holes (red pill is how do I exploit these holes, blue pill…

Successful women will be able to have children through IVF. When Candace Bushnell says she regrets choosing a career over children, I don't think having a test tube baby was what she had in mind. this will become the norm I think. Do you have any empirical observations showing that this is becoming the norm?

using their 150 different user accounts Hey, I only have 3 proxy accounts, I'm not that obsessed with this stuff! who’s running our country, who’s running into the ground, who’s stealing the future from our children, and how we’re going to keep putting food on the table, raise our kids proper in an amoral gimme society and survive in our old age. I would think gender issues are related are related to these issues. There's an interesting article I read from a feminist writer about how feminism ma…

I have to push back on this just a touch. If I understand correctly, men and women seek this in different ways. Many women find sexual and romantic fulfillment in commitment and companionship as opposed to physical sex. This is not to say women don't value physical sex, just that, on average, the genders weight these things differently. I think that especially as this generation of women age, you're going to see a lot more women wishing they had families and male commitment. I'm thinking of peop…

On the topic of Trump being reelected, it's likely that in the early 2020s, there will be a recession as well. That will likely have some impact on the dating market.

I also think society in general will be a little more sensitive to how dating apps - given their increasing ubiquity - take a toll on dudes' self esteem. I think this is a good thought. I'm a 27 year old guy trying to figure out my own way with love and relationships. I have to say, what the dating scene looks like in the next decade is a question a bit near and dear to my heart. I've thought about applying using dating sites, but every time I do, or try it, I feel like I'm applying for jobs. Ma…

I'll assume one hour is break where you don't do anything. 1 hour to work out. 1 hour to read the news in depth (subscribe to some good magazines like the Economist, Foreign Affairs, ect. I can give you recommendations.). Or just do reading in general. 1 hour to learn a new language. Next 3-4 hours, enroll in some online courses and spend the rest of the time getting an education. Learn to code, learn to trade stocks, or whatever. You need to spend some of this time doing something involving mon…

I think you're selling religion a little short. Catholicism and Evangelical Protestantism still have about 60% retention rates which isn't that bad (for comparison, the unaffiliated retention rate is about 67%.). And religion is capable of adaptation too. How to survive in a more secularized society is a pretty hot topic in more intellectual religious circles. Furthermore, you discount the immense diversity of religious though. For every church capitulating to modern society on divorce or gay st…

How does religion figure into this? There are always going to be some religious groups who believe in monogamous, complementary marriage. Furthermore, two parent marriage with both a mother and father has shown to be the most optimal arrangement for raising children. Inevitably, social groups that emphasize two parent marriage are going to be more stable than the polyamorous masses you describe. They will also have larger families and will likely pass on their beliefs more effectively. And relig…
