9	Why are men still signing up for the military? I worked with a lot of military guys. Many got out of crappy towns or family, etc, saw the world, maybe get a college degree, moved on to a career. Some spent 20 years in, got a pension and free medical, moved on to a career. A honorable discharge from the military shows an employer you are trainable, and haven't been a drug addict for the last few years. 3	If all men around the world stopped working for a day, what would the effects be? I can make the case that the electrical grid would fail, since 95 percent of the workers keeping it running are males. When I got my first career path job out of college, my company (12000 employees) had a day long conference with a fancy lunch for career building, etc. I needed that because I had no mentors.
