Yeah see again I don't think it's me you should be debating the issue with? My comment had nothing to do with my own opinions on the issue. My comment was purely about the title of the post being incorrect, which I don't think anyone can deny if they actually read the article.

Did you mean to reply to my comment? I was pointing out how OP's title is incorrect and misleading. I wasn't giving my opinion on the story, just trying to make sure people are talking about the actual facts.

Nothing you've said is wrong, I was just pointing out that OP was being very misleading in the first place. I also didn't like the way OP was trying to make this into a non-issue or a "perceived feminist grievance" - it's something it should be ok for either side to argue about. Women starting/continuing the conversation by saying they disagree with the original statement shouldn't be a source of annoyance.

True. Still a big difference between possibly becoming pregnant and currently being pregnant.

It sounds like you've completely misread the article - warning women not to drink during pregnancy is widely accepted, that's not the issue. Warning any sexually active woman, pregnant or not, to abstain from drinking because they might someday get pregnant regardless of if they are trying or intend to, is what some people are upset about.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
