Because judges in Canada are the most prejudiced bastards you'll ever meet. Every one is prejudiced, some hate coloured people, others hate men etc. My uncle recently went through a divorce, his ex lied under oath and had no evidence. He had three cases full of evidence to back up his claims. She ended up getting everything, he got nothing. She lived in their house during the breakup and the house went down half in value, the judges declared that half as his half of the house.
