I live in Canada and absolutely love my country, but this is 100% one of our biggest problems.

That’s assault, battery’s less severe then beating a guy’s head.

Yeah, probably

No, it’s just written very sarcastically, and in a place you know you’ll get backlash against it. This has bait written all over it. Anyway, if you do truly believe that, then there are much better places to post it where people’ll support you and agree with you.

Oh, bait then?

I know that it’s a one-party consent system for audio recording, but I don’t know about visual recording, do you know what the legislation concerning this is?

Thanks, and interesting stories you have there. I honestly do wish I could do something about things, activism and the like, but there’s nothing here, no possibility for support, damn hopeless. Besides, nobody has time for that, including me. Screwed up situation, no real movement to stop it but a fragmented movement by the unvocal vast minority of the population, sad, really.

Sorry if I came across as accusing an entire gender as something as if they were a homogeneous entity, it’s not how I meant to come across. It’s good to hear about people such as you, I see your type oft too little for me to even notice that you people are still around but just drowned out by the rest.

Ironic, In an effort for equality, they destroyed it themselves.

I know, it was hyperbole. If we can hold them accountable, our politicians accountable, things will change. It may take years, but I think that if we try, things may change in the lifetime of many young men today. Even if it takes longer than that, we must have something to pass over to the next generation, lest our movement fall into the void of obscurity, never to return.

The only way to do this, honestly, is to actually get some good organizational structure. Top-Down is iffy and can get corrupt easily, so it's probably not a good option. Besides that, we could just have local groups who work together, which modern technology enables. Have enough of these groups, and eventually, you got a sizable movement.

There's a website, but nobody uses it and it doesn't connect local MRA groups. I'm a programmer, but not one good enough to do such a thing. Nor am I in any position to get people on it.

I agree, though personally, I can't do much due to my age, I'd certainly attend and participate in such a thing if somebody people would take seriously were to start it.

No matter how true point 3 is (It's very true), saying that will just get us shut down. We have to be subtle. If we say "We understand why feminists are worried for women and recognize that some women in the modern world may still face disadvantages, we believe that men's issues are often ignored, and so we must raise awareness of these issues and effect change," we may effect change. If we, on the other hand, say "Feminists are narcissistic immoral land-whales with persecution complexes," we'll…

Thanks a million for the reply! It's helped a lot! Sources for these would be great, as I will need these to support your arguments and for further reading. Again, thank you so much for the help!

Thanks for the reply. I’ll be looking into organizing events in the near future.

Thanks. The reason I posted the thread was to ask about how to go about organizing these events; I should’ve been more specific. Your reply helped quite a bit, thanks for your time.

I agree, however I’m also looking at organizing events within my community, as things must be done not only online, but also to raise awareness to others who may not normally stumble upon us. Where I live, the population is very aged, and so not all regularly use the internet. It’s important we reach out to them as well.

Due to my location, I’m not sure I’d be able to connect with others that way to organize something. I’ll check it out, but I’m not sure I’ll find anything. Thanks for the reply.
