Austin local here. If you have time, make your way to Zilker Park or Barton Springs during the day. Bring a frisbee or a football to Zilker and just ask groups of people to play. Say there’s a group of like 2 guys and 4 girls, if you throw with one of the guys it’ll give you a good opportunity to meet the whole group. I think his argument is more about compulsive drinking. A drink every once in a while isn’t too bad but there’s still better ways to relax. That being said, if the occasional drink stops you from potentially having your life ruined by a woman, all power to you brother.

Wow, this is a great answer. Thank you. I fall under #6 (started out involuntary but by choice at this point) but I think I want to move towards #1 or #2. I’m currently in high school so I’m not concerned about marriage or cohabitation but there are definitely other risks entailed at my age.

I suppose it’s subjective. To me it’s a woman that isn’t an entitled SJW-feminist, understands that I have my own shit to do and doesn’t expect to be the center of my life 24/7, can actually bring something more than a pretty face to the table, etc. It’s easy to spot a woman of value when you encounter them but there’s a lot more to them than what I mentioned. I guess the easiest way to put it is a woman that contributes value to your life rather than sucking it away.
