1	Tips on hosting a party? -First of all, I always make sure if I see someone new arriving, I get out of my chair go over to them and give them a handshake/hug and introduce myself. I often do a joke about their handshake (a lot of people have a weak handshake, or "a dead fish" as my old teacher called it. I usually use that line with a smile on my face, gets most people smiling. 1	Texting as a logistical tool and setting up context. As mentioned before, ideally you should have done it during the initial interaction, but if you for some reason didn't manage to do this then don't drag it out. As for logistics, they should NEVER EVER be asked straight out. NEVER ask "when are you coming? Bcause I have to shower first.". Instead say something fun or witty like "When are you coming?
