A lot of the biggest firms, particularly tech ones, will engage in hiring practices that favor women and other minorities. Clearly there is a benefit in such practices either explicitly or implicitly, or else they wouldn't do it. And the idea that companies can hire whoever they want is core to the mostly free marketplace many countries employ. If you don't want women in your work, I'd recommend moving to either a socialistic or sexist country. I hear they're much more productive then their west…

Courts issue 1.5 million false or trivial temporary restraining orders every year. In half of those cases, no physical violence actually occurs. Can someone explain how ~750,000 of those restraining orders are false/trivial when physical violence has occurred? And then take into account cases where no physical violence occurs but mental and emotional distress occurs as well. And finally what is a 'trivial' restraining order? Should probably try to support her in the meantime till she gets her emotions into order. Then I'd take a long hard think about whether its worth it to end your relationship over this speed-bump. As long as you're confident in your choice, you'll never make the wrong decision ;)
