K, the science disagrees with you. Common sense disagrees with you. The fact that we've seen videos over and over again of the cops being called on black men for no reason at all disagrees with you. I hope you're trolling me, otherwise it's just sad that you're so ignorant.

You're just being pedantic. Those are examples of situations that occured recently where black men were harassed or killed for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Obviously these exact scenarios aren't going to happen to every black person. Obviously. But things like that happen to black people much more often than they happen white people. That's the point, that's bad.

That's not the point at all. If a bad thing happens to one group of people more often than another group of people, that's evidence of systemic bias or racism, and that's bad. You should want to fix that. Yes, bad things happen to white people too, but not because of the colour of their skin.

Shit like this happens to black people, and other visible minorities, way more often than it does to white people. Pretending that it isn't happening doesn't make you right.

Just google systemic racism, or implicit bias. It's well established, arguing that it doesn't exist is just blind ignorance at this point.

Yeah, it's sad.

Eliminating racial bias is not the same thing as affirmative action.

Obviously if your house is also on fire then your house also needs help. I'm a white guy. My "house" is not on fire right now. Nobody is biased against me because of the colour of my skin or where I grew up. Nobody is going to call the cops on me if I ask them to put their dog on a leash while I'm out bird watching in the park. Nobody is going to chase me in their truck with guns while I'm jogging through their neighbourhood and then shoot and kill me.

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that Black Lives Matter supporters believe that there is racial bias in society, government, and police forces, resulting in more harm (such as police brutality) to black people than to other groups of people. If that's the belief behind the movement, then it's not racist to say that we should address that bias so it doesn't harm black people anymore. An analogy I've heard is that if there was a house down the street on fire, you wouldn't go out and get mad…

To go further the only punishment for a male for not registering for the draft is that you become ineligible for federal student aid and you get put on a sort of greylist for colleges that receive federal aid. Almost every state has also implemented registration as a requirement to get a driver's license. Also, failure to register is technically a felony punishable by up to a $250,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison.

So what? The point is that headlines should say it's statutory rape, because statutory rape is not the same as "having sex with a student".

"Consensual statutory rape" is redundant. Statutory rape is sex with a person who is not legally able to consent.

Someone else in here linked to an article where this girls aunt says she had gone around hitting multiple men that night. You can go on and on about the video not showing enough to be sure, but the common sense conclusion here is that she was the aggressor and he was justified in hitting back.

A slap is still assault, totally justified to hit back.

Actually, it stopped having a good point when it stopped doing math properly. Could that be any clearer? If a woman has two children over a four year period she will end up being paid nearly four years' wages for two years' work; her male peers will work almost twice as many hours for the same income. 2 Children = 2x14 weeks paid + 2x 6 double pay weeks = 52 weeks paid while not working. So really, she would be paid 4 years wages for 3 years' work, not two.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
