Unpopular Opinion: this is ok, I think people who tried but failed to do important things or did them second best need to have their stories told also. It can often be more interesting. I would love to see the documentary made about the life of Cave Johnson...

Oh yeah with the internet things are forever, all it takes is someone to at one time be on a list of sex offenders then anytime after that that you search their name will be some service or another that list them as a former sex offender. I mean it's possible that no one creates this service but just the way the internet works I can't imagine that it won't still be one of the first things that come up so that even the most cursory examination of this kind of person will for the rest of their liv…

And there are a lot of sources out there that keep track of the people after they get off the watch list. In 10 years there will probably be more, so at least there's that.
