1	It’s about time Budgets are about more than just dollars and cents. The general public needs to have faith that the system is working. Otherwise, they'll want to dismantle it. See what's happening with police departments across the nation right now. If people think their next door neighbor has cheated the system and won, then they will get mad. -1	It’s about time That's because "abuse" is so narrowly defined that hardly anybody is considered an abuser. This goes for all forms of government safety nets, not just EBT. Take my mom for example. She's in her mid 50s and hasn't worked in about a decade. She claims her back pain makes it impossible for her to hold any job, and she hurt her back once around 2009.
