It's justifying feminism existing. Think about it. The equality battle there was won long ago and in some cases it's about 2 women for every 1 man in a college. To put it simply all benefits for women should be cut off immediately and benefits should instead target men. Assuming we don't ask the question of why men don't go to college and presume they are oppressed into doing a trade or similar... Now look at how big feminism is as a whole, think of how many people have invested their lives into…

I asked people about this in arguing it early last week. They claimed rights were violated so I linked the charter and asked them to show me the rights being violated but no one took the bait. It seems as though they think the right to not be uncomfortable is written in there somewhere.

I don't believe the charter would allow this but it would depend on how the courts read it I guess. It promises quite a lot for those accused of a crime and lowering the standard to that level seems like it would breach those rights.

Arguing with others about this there are claims of the rights of the witnesses being repressed and trauma. But asked what rights are being repressed people decline to answer even if linked the charter and quantifying what they mean about trauma you get nothing as well.

Intersex does exist, nature fucks things up all the time. To get an idea of what it really is though you should google it to see the oddities that can happen. Transgendered people can be intersex as well but that's more a coincidence as they don't both happen in most cases.

See you missed the point. The higher courts can only look at what happened in the court, if the prosecutor forgot to counter an argument and bring in people to show doubt about her claims all they see is her claims of abuse. We get to see what the RCMP and husband said in reports and stories on the case but they can't use that. This is all on the prosecutor.

This is a bit complex. The prosecutor screwed up badly and didn't bring in anything to counter her surprise allegations. Because of this despite what you read in the story from the husband and RCMP all the courts had was her claims. The higher courts can't just take in new evidence and they can only go off what is in the court records. The prosecutor was completely to blame here. But as they appealed it this seems to be incompetence instead of malice.

Harms way implies harm is there, the forces had already pushed back the Germans. It doesn't lessen their role at all, they were of vital importance in helping to care for the wounded. They just weren't at risk of death. I don't see how trying to make it seem more than it was helps anything, but I also respect what they did even if they weren't the ones leading the charge.

It's in jest. Let’s make rape legal. Less women will be raped because they won’t voluntarily drug themselves with booze and follow a strange man into a bedroom, and less men will be unfairly jailed for what was anything but a maniacal alley rape. The 2% falls close to the false rate for normal crimes which is where I had read it came from, or at least the connection makes it probable. Actually in Canada I think it's a 2-3% false rates for all crimes. Can't recall where I read this originally though. Then again this also wouldn't cover claims made that don't make it to the police so that further complicates the issue.

Was this a private prosecution? I didn't really know of the case before today but unless Ontario is different a prosecutor has to allow the charges to proceed I thought. So someone should have slapped her with sanity along the way right?

I'd probably contact the police, I mean you should. She seems to be trying to solicit violent vigilante justice against someone she alleges did something wrong that the police didn't believe. I'm fairly sure that this has to be against some sort of law.
