Of course that's why all women need to ignore red pill nonsense and automatically exclude men who talk such shite from their consideration.

I am pretty introverted and a bit of a loner. I guess I can be shy at times but I’m not painfully shy or anxious. I feel confident eating out alone, travelling alone an so on. I do have some issues with sensory processing although I’m not autistic. I hate parties with loud music and flashing lights and if I have to attend due to family obligations I wear earplugs now and sit in a corner away from the lights. I remember in my teens when I’d be standing in the queue with friends from college to go…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 01:36 PM

I'm glad to hear it, as long as you can keep calm and don't let it get to you then cool but do take a break if it does get to you! Take care!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 05:16 PM

Personally I think it would be better if this sub was just banned but I do see your point of view. I agree that it is good to challenge your own position on things but I just think this is a bad place to do it and those that most need to hear it never actually do. However it sounds like it isn't harming you in any way so that is reassuring. I think there are women who come here with good intentions and end up negatively affected by engaging with this kind of discourse.

I just don't think the audience here is at all receptive to what women have to say. If women didn't respond this sub would be die a death, men on here post specifically to get attention from women and to a rise out of them not to debate or entertain different points of view.

You’re totally right but what else would you expect from this sub and the kind of man who frequents it? Do yourself a favour and stop responding to them and their ridiculous posts. I remember reading one comment about how a woman rejecting a man was “reverse rape” and worse than when a woman was actually raped because at least in that case the woman got to have sex, I mean seriously? That is the mentality we are dealing with here so please just save yourself and let them stew in their own juices…

Yeah it’s a lie that women are attracted to older men and that they are more attractive as they age this is simply not true at all. I can’t think of any of my female friends or any women I know who are attracted to older men and I don’t know any who are married to men more than 3 years older than them. I do though know personally of 5 long term marriages where the woman is 12 -18 years older than her husband.

Lol, you don't even get invited to parties, now why not do as I say and go and explain to any woman in your life how she lives life on easy mode, assuming that you know any and assuming that she will even want to talk to you and get back to me with her actual response?

I think it maybe why men like the kind of guys who post here are so hell bent on shaming and devaluing women because they hate that we now have a choice to look at them and say, no thanks I prefer to be alone rather than sacrificing my time, energy, money and body making their lives easier. They are just pissed someone took away their easy mode.

This is possibly the most clueless thing I've ever read on here "the enemies and bosses are easier to overcome and do NO damage, and there will always be something or someone to hold your hand through the toughest of mechanics and puzzles." Did you actually write that and think to yourself, yeah that's how it is for women? Tell me you know nothing, and have no empathy or understanding of the lives of women without saying. I'm fucking clueless about the experiences of women and there you have it.…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 09:30 AM

"womens lives are easier because of a man" There is so much projection in that isn't there? Because in reality is the more often that the reverse is true and that women's lives are harder when they involve themselves with men. In an ideal situation both men and women would be better off in a relationship than apart, I mean that is the point of a relationship. Its interesting that so many women, given how easy it is for them to have so many men thirsting over them and doing anything for them are …

Don't you know that woman living in her car, terrified for her life most nights is living life on easy mode???? Grrr men have it so much harder they need to ask a woman out and think of a place to take her, have some compassion!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 01:48 AM

Its a myth some men like to tell themselves. Do young beautiful women get some benefit from that beauty, sure. So do young, attractive men. So do people born rich, who went to the right schools, have the right contacts, have social and cultural capital, have sporting prowess or some other talent. Just because men want to stick their dick in a woman's hole doesn't mean he'll do shit for her. Men on dating apps easily like a woman but will not lift a finger to actually meet or agree a date. Also a…

You’ll have to define what you mean by comfortable and extravagant for this to mean anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 12:58 PM

Yeah money isn’t arousing or sexually attractive. Having enough money to survive comfortably is good But it isn’t a turn on. It just signals your a responsible person, same could be said for women. Life is tough and nobody wants to carry dead weight for no good reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 12:57 PM

Well the statistics I see are for 40% end in divorce and 60% don't. Like I said you don't care about actual facts you just want to believe what you feel to be true because like a lot of men on here you refuse to accept any accountability and just want to protect your fragile little ego.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 09:36 PM

That isn't even true for a start as around 60% of marriage do not end in divorce. People get divorced for lots of reasons, they may love a man but he's unfaithful or has addiction issues for example twice as many men as women have substance addiction issues, more than twice the number of women are abused by their partners as men are. Many women are blinded by love when they marry a man and only realise down the line that they and their children would be better off without him. Its also true that…

He's probably just pissed that women have rights and access to their own bank accounts and can earn their own living now because without the threat of destitution hanging over them women are free to reject his sorry ass. He could take some responsibility for himself but its so much easier and feels so much better to blame feminism and be mad at women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 09:13 PM

Sucks to be you I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 09:09 PM

Honestly save your breath (or fingers) this guy doesn't care about actual reality only in making it all the fault of the women, he can't get a girlfriend or a woman to like him, well god forbid its his fault its all because of those dammed uppity women and their lack of accountability, this is the clarion call of the manosphere and this guy is drunk on the proverbial Kool Aid.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 09:03 PM

"I don't think women have the capacity to truly have love and real feelings for your average guy" and yet look around you and you will see literally millions of marriages that disprove this. As for the rest of your post, I don't even know where to start, this sub and the many of the men who frequent it are quite seriously messed up, its the same shit over and over. OP its quite possible that women aren't interested in you for reasons that are fairly apparent but don't extrapolate that to everyon…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 08:51 PM

But it isn’t about what we choose to do rationally I am talking about it’s about what is baked into us biologically as a species. I am also a married, childfree woman but that doesn’t change the basic principle that in our desire to find a mate that women hold more cards than men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 11:37 AM

If you really boil it all down women are just more valuable in terms of reproduction and men are cheap so it’s a no brainier that men have to compete more fiercely and prove themselves in order to gain access to a mate, while women can pick and choose from a list of hopefu suitors. The sooner men here accept that and quit bitching about it the better.

Yeah it’s fine to put your best foot forward that is normal but faking a persona is just weird and creepy and not actually conducive to finding and maintaining a genuine relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 11:07 AM

Yeah I love my husband and am very happily married but if anything happened to him it would one take me a long time to get over losing him if I ever did and two I don't think anyone would ever come close to how I felt for him. I'd just focus on my friends, family, work and hobbies.

Something like 75% of relationships don't make it past 2 years and many don't even make it that far. There is the infatuation phase which lasts like 18 months at the most and then after that we are left with the reality of the relationship and person. Sometimes that person is just not our person and the relationship ends, its nothing to do with the value of the other its just how it goes. Really the real love doesn't start until after the honeymoon phase that's when it gets really good, with the…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 08:17 PM

lol don’t bother, it doesn’t matter what you say to them you will still somehow always be in the wrong to them so let them stew.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 11:04 AM

It’s not the truth it’s the lie they tell themselves to protect their fragile egos from the truth because if the accepted that they might actually have to put some work in and change. Obviously many of them would rather die alone, untouched and unloved, angry and bitter that do that, sucks to be them I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 11:02 AM

Yeah he’s finding out that all that talk about women loving older men was a lie men tell each other and not the truth at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 10:55 AM
8

Yeah, sounds more like the OP has some major character flaws which his partners are unable to look past once the rose tinted glasses of infatuation come off. Rather than take responsibility for himself and work on his own failings he makes it all the woman’s fault that she is only interested in chasing the high of a new relationship and then he applies his self serving, false logic to all women and all relationship in spite of massive evidence to the contrary. Talk about mental gymnastics, this …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 10:32 AM

I think its more likely that men with lots of options feel no imperative to be a decent partner while a man who is punching above his weight probably recognises his good fortune and makes an effort to be a decent partner. But nice try making it seem like women are somehow in the wrong and that their desires to be treated with decency and to have someone who is an actual partner to them as opposed to a liability is nothing but a foolish whim, as you put it. Most amusing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 07:39 PM

Well I agreed with you on that but more often attractive women are with less attractive men, in fact there are studies which back this up and even suggest women are happier in relationships with less attractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 07:28 PM
1

Well your anecdotes aren't that compelling, but get back to me when men have a monthly cycle, menstruate can get pregnant and carry and birth a child and breastfeed and we will tally up who does the most work then shall we?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 06:54 PM

Neither is my response.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 06:49 PM

I don't know but I've heard red pill men talk about how gross vaginas and women are in general which makes me think they are all in the closet or something, which is sad because there is nothing wrong with being gay man, if you love dick embrace it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 06:43 PM

I think you are right that people do pretty much go for others at their own level so to speak but it isn't as simple as that with women a conventionally attractive woman who was attractive to most men could still easily like or prefer a man who are is as conventionally attractive, I see it all the time. With my female friends I'm like why would she choose him when that other guy is into her and she could easily be with him, it doesn't compute but we all have our little idiosyncrasies. As for the…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 06:41 PM

Why would anyone be applauded for doing the bare minimum I.e. earning a living and doing a a decent job at wiping up your own shit but you better believe that men expect a pat on the back for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 06:05 PM

I wasn’t angry, I was having a laugh but it’s even more amusing to see how much I’m winding you up. Also I can’t imagine anyone is as miserable or pathetic as you for getting angry at a wee married women just enjoying some laughs at you when your supposedly a big strong red pill man. See this is the thing, you all talk a lot but have zero to back it up, your all very sad little men who I am not surprised have no luck with women. It would be quite tragic if it wasn’t so funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 05:49 PM

Suck it up loser, and stay mad, I’m just having a wee laugh at you all.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 05:19 PM

I personally don’t think that status and money are super important in that I’d want a man to be high status and rich but more that a man who is hard working, reliable, uses his gifts, it trust worthy, doesn’t succum to addiction is more likely to attain a better income and perhaps some status in his field and community. The same would be true for a woman. We don’t all want the rich man with a garage full of flash cars we want someone who isn’t a bum, who contributes as we do, who is reliable and…

Nobody male or female should be getting their self worth from their appeal to the opposite sex. Unfortunately for most of us we very much do couple our value to how much we appeal to the other. It usually take until later in life to realise how futile and worthless it all is. It’s partly biological and partly societal. We should all strive to be more internally directed, not just men or women. After all we only need that one person to love, respect us and share our lives, what true value is ther…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:58 PM

lol, the only thing I ever learn from this sub is that a lot of guys here have a screw loose (which is putting it kindly) and that women are right to avoid any guy who is red pill or red pill adjacent or even right wing traditionalist like the plague. Thank goodness for the internet so we know who and what to avoid 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:47 PM

Also in reality if you ask a man to do a job like cleaning a room, vacuuming or even washing dishes nine times out of ten they do an incomplete job. They run the vacuum over the floor but don’t actually look to see if they are picking stuff up or use the tools to get the edges. They will wipe visible surfaces but let dirt accumulate under appliances or rinse the tub but not actually scrub the tub first so it’s still dirty. They will wash dishes but not scrape the plates first and leave the sink …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:39 PM

I think a lot of men expect a woman to look after him and to recapture that sense of being loved and taken care by mommy as a young child. I do think that we all both men and women are to some extent seeking to recapture that feeling of being safe and loved and looked after in a partner. You lose me on the men expe partnership and women don’t offer that. On the contrary women seek a partner and an equitable partnership but then feel left high and dry by the men they enter into relationships with…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:25 PM

I low agree with this, Ive never experienced or known women going after the guy to work out well. If a guy really wants you then he’ll move heaven and earth to make it happen and make the relationship work. That’s the guy to go for, the one who is totally and genuinely into you not some guy who thinks you’re better than nothing. The cost of relationships is much higher for women then it is for men so they need to know the guy is all in and he has to be the one to put his neck on the line, it’s t…

True, as a European I grew up thinking the US was "the dream". Now I thank my lucky stars I wasn't born there and don't have to live there. Its not even that great to visit, sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 09:35 PM

It is ultimately a personal choice by the women doing so, many are angry and lashing out at men but really it’s more about protecting themselves from unwanted situations with unwanted people. I agree that it won’t make too much difference like all those Mgtow guys whoever the fuck they are? I’ve never missed them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 03:56 PM

Yeah I kind of agree with my parents it was my mum who would actually apologise and my dad would do stuff like buy flowers and try to make it up to her without actually apologising. I saw the same thing with guys I was dating they just never said sorry and so many would have just ended up finished after the first argument if I wasn’t the one to make peace first. Are therecwomen who don’t say sorry sure but is this a gendered thing, I don’t think so.

I also think most women (except those who have been traumatised know most men aren't trying to harm them it is just that you never know which one will so it ends up that you treat all men with caution and keep them at arms length and are not especially friendly. It sucks but it is genuinely something women learn from a young age from experience i.e smiling at that guy on the bus that time you were 14 got you assaulted or harassed. Its hard because men complain women are cold and unfriendly, acti…

I think it is more about values and both politics and religion play into that. People are more likely to be compatible with and align with those they share values with.

I agree no man in their right mind would say, yeah I’d rape a woman if I’d 100% get away with it, you’d look like a psychopath. However Gisele Pelicot was raped by at least 50 men when encouraged by her husband and they were from all walks of life with at least some holding professional jobs. So unfortunately it seems that at least some men would do such a thing given the chance, unfortunately we can’t tell who. I’m glad to be aware of the red pill manosphere crap some men buy into. If a man displays even a whiff of that shit (and they always do) then he automatically disqualifies himself from my time and attention, a man like that just doesn’t exist to me, he’s nothing.

I met the man I’d marry quite young but I kind of agree. I was rejected by guys for being too quiet and not cool or edgy enough with some trying to shape me into dressing and acting like the kind of girl they wanted to be with. Some of this was just affectation on their part they wanted a certain kind of girl to enhance their own image of themselves, at that age they didn’t know who they were really and they thought they might be one of these cool party people with a huge gang of mates doing wil…

There is a lot of nuance here. You can be a quiet introvert who enjoys reading and being at home while still enjoying adventures like travelling to interesting places and hill climbing (I know I do). Also this kind of woman (or man) doesn’t have to be boring or clingy, in fact introverts are often pretty self sufficient and like to be left to their own devices on a regular basis. Having said all that it is important for people to consider compatibility. I don’t mind a bit of socialising and the …

I'm a woman and have had other women ask to sit with me in situations like this and on another occasion a woman who had just broke up with her boyfriend of several years approached me and asked me to walk with her to the train station as she was afraid of what her now ex would do as he was following her and shouting, crying and acting is a scary way. I think it is more that a man who has a lot of attractive traits and appeal to the lowest demographic i.e. a rapper or a footballer for example will attract multiple women who have little going on internally and so they fall in line with what their peers are into and getting a particular man is a way of proving their value especially if it means beating another woman out for the attention of a man. I kind of agree, women like the women men on here seem obsessed with do exist, my Sister in Law is one of them once very beautiful, a bit toxic and capable of incredibly shitty, entitled behaviour, thinks that she is literally the main character in every bodies life and throws a fit if anything happens to shatter that illusion for her. I think people can move up the class system in the UK but not in a single generation it takes at least two, maybe three and a ton of support from the parents. Still what else is there? If you're having kids and can't provide that chance for them you're pretty much damning them to a life of misery unless things drastically change.

I think there was a bit more possibility of class mobility in the immediate post war era but that has been on the decline since the 70's although the myth of meritocracy still persists. From a middle class persons point of view I think it makes sense in that in the UK at this point it takes more than a good education and a good job to provide what would be considered a middle class lifestyle and upbringing for any children it also now requires intergenerational wealth, which always existed but i…

Actually I remember reading (it may have been that study or another one) that women prefer men their own age up until they hit about 40 and after that they start to prefer younger men and it stick at about mid 30's for the most part. I do logically know that but sometimes that kind of negative energy can have a pull. I can't imagine how much of an effect it must have on young men.

I told him I thought he was living in a fantasy world and never to say anything like that to me again. He didn’t make a physical pass at me and honestly the guy doesn’t have the best mental health and so I kept what he said quiet as my husband and his brother are this guys oldest friends and he needs them. Now we just stay out of each others roads and he seems to have a nice girlfriend now so it’s all in the past but yeah it must have been embarrassing for him and it was uncomfortable for me. Ho…

I really don’t know, it was just after one of the lockdowns and to be fair many people went a little crazy at that time.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:51 AM

Yeah big declarations of love to someone you aren’t with are kind of a form of oneirism, strictly in the realm of fantasy and it can be quite disrespectful. Like my husband’s friend telling me he loved me while my husband is upstairs on a teams meeting, like dude what are you thinking??? Same could be said for women who do this, it actually smacks of narcissism that anyone would think that would be appropriate.

When my husband is emotionally vulnerable and expressive to me a I love it and I definitely think it brings us closer. I do recall a few years after graduating university a guy on my course who I’d been casual friends with sending me a package for valentines day containing chocolate and various trinkets along with a letter where he detailed a revelation he’d had that he was and had always been in love with me and that we should be together and all the ways in which he wanted to express his “love…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:34 AM

Thats why I prefered to meet me though friendship groups, university and so on. not on apps or online. That provides a kind of pre-vetting. Also a guy who has the balls to ask you out even if he is shy in a situation where people you both know will know about it, that’s also a green flag about the guy. It doesn’t matter if you buy it, this is advice for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:14 PM

I think you are probably right.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 03:53 PM

My husband is really shy by nature but he liked me so so much he knew he couldn't afford to let me slip away so he asked me out. That's all you need to do. That and don't be a dick if she says no. I don't generally advocate women asking men out because if a woman isn't interested in a relationship with a guy she will usually reject the man but men who aren't interested in a relationship with a specific woman are much more likely to accept the woman's advances even if he isn't interested in her a…

This is 100% my findings as well, there was even An attempt to find a biological urge to reproduce and they couldn’t find it because for millennia the urge for sex and to pair bond took care of that and babies were a reliable outcome of those drives. There is also mammalian urge to care for their offspring in females but this only occurs after conception and birth. What they found that when people spoke of an urge to have a child was that it was really more psychological i.e. Social pressures, c…

That's up to you of course perhaps look into negative attachments if you ever start to feel differently. But you really cannot change these men its all only stirring anger which perpetuates and feeds their hatred. The best way to annoy misogynists is to not give them the oxygen your your attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 08:44 PM

This sub is a very negative place and there is enough negativity in the world for women without engaging in it here. I would gently encourage any woman to stop coming here because it is pointless by coming in and trying to engage we are only encouraging them and its time to stop, Let them stew themselves and lets focus on our own joy and happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 08:38 PM

I just think no woman should actually be here interacting if I am honest. These men are right in some ways we women all have better options and better things to be doing than allowing the negativity of the sub to taint us. Why would any woman give these men the gift of her time and attention is beyond me, I am only here to encourage women to walk away and disengage from this space.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 08:35 PM

I think this can happen, for example this sub could be infuriating if you let it be but you have to just let it go. There is zero point in engaging in debate here or trying to change anyone's mind online. The fact is the kind of people who say stuff on here are irrelevant to me, my life and my goals. If some people are bitter, resentful and angry then let them be, let them stew in their own juices, it isn't my problem. That goes double for real life interaction with people who spread negativity.…

Maybe if she is over 40, in which case many women are choosing to be single after being stuck with crap husbands for potentially decades but we are talking about young women who end up single in their late 20's to early thirties, those women can find new partners and husbands without much issue.

I don't know most of the women I know are educated to Masters level or have doctorates so I don't know any who are looking to be housewives, I suppose it may depend on the circles you move in.

Your personal arrangement is between you and your spouse. Most women work and want to work and are often times the higher earner these days and are still expected to do the majority of the domestic labour and childcare, that is unfair.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 04:35 PM

I know quite a few childfree couples in their 30's, 40's and 50's who have been together since collage and they seem pretty happy to me. I know this is a hard fact to understand but not everyone wants the same things out of life. I wanted kids and I had them and I love being a mum but not everybody does, here is another shocker for you some people have kids and straight up regret it, like hate every minute of it.

I know quite a few age gap couples which have been really successful but they are all couples where the woman is significantly older than the man so between 8 and 18 years age difference, all long lasting, happy, many with kids and married. I don't know any where the man is significantly older, there was one where he was with a woman 7 years younger in his early 30's (he left his wife he had kids with for her) but she left him after a few years and married someone else he is on his own now as hi…

Well I met my husband when I was 18 and we married out of college but that was very rare, even then. I am in Europe and I would say that across the western world as a whole most young people going to their parents at 21 and saying they wanted to get married to their boyfriend / girlfriend of 3 or 4 years would be strongly advised to wait. So anomalous areas or individuals don't really change the conversation for the culture at large.

What is different about that from a woman seeking a man with the wherewithal to provide for her and her kids. If your going to call women gold diggers then I can just as easily call men gold diggers which they are. Why is it only gold digging if a woman expects the man to offer something in return for all she does for him?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 11:19 AM
2

Their beauty, their fertility, their domestic labour, their emotional labour, their childcare, their money, the social status they impart on men just by being with them, if the woman has any property or assets then they look to make use of that as well, the list is endless. These are all values and resources a woman has or may have that a man wants to use for his own benefit, men are the original gold diggers. Whatever a woman has a man will take it and use it to better his own life.

I know they just change with the wind on here, I actually think women should just stop engaging with the men here because it doesn't matter what the situation is the woman is always in the wrong and undeserving of any sympathy, they will do a 180 on what they just said so that they can hate on the woman under any circumstances, they just hate women so why do we even bother with them?

I am not sure I agree, I know loads of couple who were together through Uni then their 20's and finally after a bit of wrangling get married in their early to mid 30's and go on to have kids, it is pretty normal actually. The issue is that the women who wait it out and the guy then leaves after 10 - 12 years together loses in a big way. We're always hearing how ruthless women are and how they don't truly love men and only care about men for what they can give them but if she actually loves someone even though she is getting shitty deal then she is stupid dope who doesn't deserve any sympathy. Women cannot win with men here. In my observations it is much easier to get a man to commit and marry within the first 2 years of dating i.e. the honeymoon or infatuation stage that may not be the wisest move but it is one of the best ways to ensure marriage. If people could actually be rational then they would be able to see reality as it is and then make a rational choice for themselves but unfortunately people are driven by fear, or what feels good in the moment or are just plain lazy.

In the specific case of couples that meet when very young so late teens and early 20's culturally in the west it isn't really acceptable to get married very young anymore especially for degree level educated people. Men are much more amenable to marriage in the earlier stages of a relationship i.e. the honeymoon stage which lasts around 18 months to 2 years. If you look at the past it was pretty common for couples to start courting then be married with a baby on the way within about 2 years. Now…

I've certainly seen a good deal of this in my peers i.e. the college couple who are to all extent and purposes loved up, committed and compatible but the guy has to be pushed pretty hard to finally pop the question. I'd say that most of the time the guy in question does finally propose especially if the long term girlfriend actually breaks it off with him and he realises he's about to lose the woman he loves unless he acts to make her his wife. I agree its unreasonable of women to expect the princess treatment and if they need that to feel into a relationship then its kind of a bust anyway but quite a lot of men do put on an act of to get a woman then just switch off and expect her to take care or him his home the kids to contribute financially and be availabl…

Not every woman does its nice to know you are liked but that works both ways and what really counts is what happens after that point. Women who expect to be wooed in a big way with loads of extravagant romantic dates, gifts and so an are unreasonable to expect that. It isn't a natural way to be and if you need that to feel invested then you probably don't like the guy all that much. Sure its nice to push the boat out once in a while but when you really love and enjoy each others company an eveni…

When a woman gets into a serious relationship and especially if she has kids she is basically signing up to a life of servitude and in many ways she is putting her dreams and desires on the back burner for potentially decades, not to mention the potential for serious harm to her body and health. For many women this is worth it, motherhood may be their dream, but parenthood is hard and can unfulfilling drudgery in the day to day. Single women side step all this and have more autonomy to live as t…

I agree and even when I did like a guy it wasn't ever like "oh I want him" sexually it was more that I thought he was nice, cute and sweet and wanted to get to know him better it wasn't overtly sexual, it was more romantic.

I think most women's concerns about this kind of thing are more based on them looking back and remembering times when they felt they were taken advantage or or manipulated when they were young and put in positions where they felt things were out of their control. Its do do with how women are socialised as well, so making excuses for people and to be obliging, women know that many younger women will end up going along with things that aren't what they really want or are not in their best interest…

Personally at 25 I would have found men that age way too old for me and so would my friends, I certainly remember we would share horror stories of men that age trying to hit us up and cringe about it. Even if they are attractive men most women just prefer men around their age so if you are 35 and want to date a 25 year old you need to try and find the very rare young woman who would be prepared to date a man approaching middle age as this is what 35 is to a 20 something. To be honest I can not t…

Isn't this one of the reasons married men live longer because their wives basically pester them to go to the doctor when something isn't right? Left to their own devices many men, not all but many just don't see a doctor when they need to. I know a few (single) men who actually died because they didn't see a doctor in good time.

So assuming that he isn't too much younger my expectation would be that it isn't going to go anywhere, that if I got involved with someone younger and got attached, fell in love I'd probably only get hurt when they left due to being at a different stage of life and not wanting to settle down at the same point as me or I might think that while I would be happy cosying up at home much of the time they would want to be out partying which is fair enough but I would anticipate that as a source of pot…

I don't think its hustle and grind or women's standards to just be out in the world, that used to be normal for everyone. If you wanted to study you went to college, in person, evening classes in person, you hung out with friends in person, hobby groups were in person even if you were a geek you'd be at your battle re-enactment group or astronomy group. If you worked you'd be there in the flesh. Now its easier for people to be in their own little bubble and yes it is a comfortable place to be bu…

I do agree with you in many ways although I'd say that promiscuous people can be successful male and female and they may be stable in other parts of their lives. I do think though that people will be happier in relationships where they are on the same page about this and across the board, that is what compatibility is. I also think you can say "not for me" without condemning how others live their life but equally they shouldn't get bend out of shape for getting knocked back.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 03:14 PM

Well I think that the "insecure" aspect is that a lot of men are worried how they will measure up to the woman's previous partner or at least that is the perception and it is something I've seen echoed online spaces it is also often issued as a judgement, that a woman is trash because she is promiscuous. For me it isn't about worrying how I'd compare and more a concern for my health and common sense about where someone is at mentally and emotionally at that time of their lives. It may not bother…

Yeah I think we all need to cut each other some slack over stuff that happens when we are young as relationships at that age are a way to learn, to begin to understand what we want or don't want. Most of us will experience getting dumped, rejected and so on and at that age it seems so intense but really its just cause its all new and we're all learning. When you get older you can see how those experiences were useful but not all that important in terms of the actual relationship. Its not always …

Spot on, the apps cannot mimic that irl chemistry that is what really counts. Yeah I'm the same, I need to get to know someone in a kind of neutral context to know if I am attracted to them which is why app's don't work. I don't know if all women are the same mind you but I typically only get attracted to and want to date men I have gotten to know.

On your final point that men do all the work in relationships from asking to proposal to sex. So on the sex, that just isn't true at all, if that is how it is for you then your having sex with the wrong people. I read this also, a woman (afab) who started transition and taking male hormones reported that she felt less nuance in her emotions and felt more irritability and anger and felt unable to articulate her feelings as she had before. She gave up transition and went back to being a woman and she regained her previous sensitivity to what she was feeling. I don't think this means all men feel this way but that it does show how hormone balance or lack of it can affect how we deal with emotions.

There is a world of difference between claiming authority and being left to do all the shit work because many men deem it beneath them even when the work is essential. Women don't "claim authority" over the domestic arena as you put it they are left to take care of it and bear the weight of the whole families expectation for the smooth running of the home because nobody else will take that responsibility. This isn't the case at all for many or even most women perhaps she was just lucky or had the kind of bubbly personality that people felt would fit easily into their usual group. For most women its hard to find a new group of friends when they move, and on forums for women there are many posts about how hard it is to make new friends when you move to a new area and how people already have established social groups that they don't have time for you. I had to move to London for work for 9 months an…

Keep telling yourself that, its clear you already lack integrity.

I think attraction that is actually "actionable" develops in tandem with a closer emotional connection. Its two different things to find a man attractive or even sexy and actually wanting to sleep with him. Seeing a very attractive man doesn't make me want to go to bed with him, its just noted that he's a good looking guy. I'm much more likely to want to sleep with a man who I have a genuine connection with, who I feel emotionally close to and who I believe I can have a proper relationship with.

I guess that is fine if you want to live without any integrity and become a low value person who preys on others.

People give that advice because it is something potentially productive to say same as any advice given to people for anything. The reality is that online nobody knows what that persons actual problem is in attracting a woman who wants to date them. They could be ugly, unkempt, smell, stand too close, stare, be rude or unpleasant to be around or perhaps they just haven't been lucky yet to meet someone they like who likes them back. That is really the situation for everyone, there is a lot of luck…

I think men often go after women who they find sexually desirable, beauty can be a part of that but it isn't essential and not all genuinely beautiful women are sexually desirable to the extent that a man would notice her. The biggest part of being sexually desirable is to appear sexually available and women who want to be noticed and approved of in that way will signal their sexual availability (real or merely projected) though various methods including things like plastic surgery, fillers, hai…

Well I agree not everyone has good relationship skills but that isn't really "competition" as the OP claims it is people with impulse control issues, poor communication skills, unrealistic expectations, a lack of empathy, trauma, substance abuse issues. They are looking for excitement and an easy fix because it feels easier in the moment to sleep with someone else or get high on the emotional surge of a new infatuation than face up to your problems but if you never learn to deal with the issues …

I'm a woman and yes men make their interest in me known on a regular basis, even very attractive ones but its irrelevant I'm taken, I love someone else and wouldn't throw a good relationship I am happy in away on a whim. I trust my DH to do the same. Is it a possibility, sure, I could also fall down a sink hole or be hit by lightning doesn't mean its going to happen and that I should let it control my life or thinking, that would be very unhealthy. If you have a good relationship, and good relat…

Once you are in a good relationship it really doesn't feel like you are competing at all. Perhaps in the very early stages it might feel a bit like that especially if you know other people like them but to be honest that doesn't happen much. You are more likely to come up against what kind of girlfriend or boyfriend the other person hopes / imagines they could get or deserve regardless of how realistic that is either by their own potential to draw such a partner in or the existence or accessibil…
