Replying further based on my previous reply at the top about communicating exactly what you mean. You need to say that you're not interested in sexual relations prior to marriage. You also need to be aware that if you're expecting to live under the same roof with a man and not be sexually active, you're limiting yourself to an incredibly small population. I think it's fair to say that most men will be unable or unwilling to be in what you define as a serious relationship without establishing phy…

From a guy's perspective, you don't get to skip dating and jump straight to serious relationship. Dating includes figuring out if the two of you are compatible or not in multiple aspects, including physical attraction and sexual compatibility developed at a pace at which you are both comfortable. If you're really interested in finding a relationship that might have the potential to grow into a serious one, then say something like that. "I'm only interested in dating someone that has an interest …

You tell them about an awesome thing you're going to do, and then you ask them to join you. Stop asking for a commitment before you explain what she is committing to. That uncertainty is what causes hesitancy. Instead, find a thing that you love doing and ask her to be a part of that thing with you. That's a much easier answer for her. Bonus is that if she doesn't want to do that thing you love, then you probably don't want to hang out with her anyway.

I work in software, so I know enough about how Facebook does things under the hood to never let an app of theirs on my phone. But, here is my (other thing you prefer that lets her learn enough about you so they know you're not a weirdo).

As with any shit test, either ignore or agree and amplify. Shrug and go meh and move right along or say something funny about it like needing someone to hold your hand while you cross the street or how your elementary teacher said the same thing or whatever. All that really matters is that you show you don't care.

I have got some girls unintentionally but that’s mainly been when they’ve been pretty forward themselves so I just need to keep being fun company and it naturally happens. I think this is the key to the whole thing for you. Is it possible that these girls were forward because you were just being fun company? You keep having fun, are good company, and things just work out. I mean, this is how it's supposed to work. Sprinkle in some technique to up your game, but have fun. If you flip to The Guy R…

I mean like a basic escalation plan, going on to the next one if she's receptive. Like casual conversation, flirty conversation, establishing KINO, etc. Keep to the basics. These things should all happen while you continue to have a good time. If you're at the end of the night's fun, that's when you go for the close, if you want. It sounds to me like maybe you're pressing if you're thinking about isolation, escalating KINO, etc and that's why it's not working for you. If you're reacting to the f…

Try to keep things simple. Have a basic escalation plan until you are more comfortable. Make it automatic for situations when you're not practicing intentionally. If it doesn't work, then who cares? You're having fun anyway. I think you're misjudging how calculated most guys are. Most men don't think about such things consciously. They find something that works and just do that.

Wrong perspective. I'm having a great time. She looks fun. Maybe she'll want to join me. No? Oh well. If she wouldn't have fun doing this, then we wouldn't have gotten along anyway. Back to fun with the boys. Pick up bullshit is mostly either about learning how to be the kind of guy women will want to be with (you've done a good job with this if you're out having fun) or learning social interaction. Practice the social interaction stuff when you want. You don't have to whip out your Models crib …

I tend to agree that isn't what OP meant. I was offering a different way of thinking about the advice and why he's now having success.

See, you learned to have a good time for yourself without needing the validation of women. Only THEN did you fold them into the fun you were having by approaching and presenting yourself in a good light by doing things like putting effort into your profiles. If you do this the other way around, it's much, much harder. Women may not just fall all over you if you're having fun, but approaching while you are having a good time without them is The Way.

Change your mindset from "get a girl" to "find a girl to do fun things with". Figure out what you like to do that would be fun to share with someone- something awesome that you're passionate about and good at that you'd like to share with someone. If you don't have that thing, find it and get good at it. Then, when you go out, approach it as looking for the right person to share that experience. You're basically searching and evaluating and interviewing girls to see who you'd like to take on the…

There are lots of good tips here on how to get better at conversion, and that's important. However, I'd like to offer another option that's more about mindset. When a girl comes up to you (or you approach her), your mindset should be figuring out if she is someone YOU WANT to spend time with. What, beyond that she's willing to talk to you, would make her interesting and worth your time? Are you driving the conversation this way or are you trying to qualify yourself to her? When you figure out wh…

The answer is simple. You don't just sit there like you have been. You interact, flirt, escalate, and see how she responds. Why do you need an assurance that's she's interested to express your own interest? What if your expression of interest actually creates interest from her? The longer you wait, the worse your chances. Confidence is attractive. This is really simple.
/r/seduction21/10/21 02:29 AM

This sounds like a self-fulfilling attitude to me. If you go into an interaction assuming that the other person is not interested, then it is much more likely that they will react to that subconscious assumption you have made. If, however, you are able to assume that attraction is possible or even already present, then your chances of success will be much greater. You're shooting yourself in the foot before you even get started by assuming things that might not be true.

You're not going to get another hot tub chance. The ball is firmly in your court. You had better just ask her out like a man instead of waiting to sneak a kiss from her like a 14 year old or she's going to mentally put you in the too immature for me box. Pick up the phone right now and call her and ask her out. Don't text. Don't wait. The clock is ticking. You'll be lucky if it hasn't already chimed too late.

The point of dating is to get to know someone. So, the answer to your question depends entirely on how you want to accomplish that goal. Are you comfortable and talkative and engaging over a cocktail? Bar hop. Are you particularly interested in some activity or think you'll learn a lot about someone from how they respond to it? Do that thing with them. What makes people successful at dating is not following a formula of specific things to do. Guys that are gregarious and good with a cocktail do …

I'd like you to think deeply about a question. Are you having fun? You've addressed your physical appearance. That's great. That can be a big barrier. And you have said you have a good life plan. Also good. Now, are you fun? The most attractive thing in the world is to have fun and want to share that fun with other people. Women will gravitate to you when you are on an adventure and you want to share that adventure with them. To me, it sounds like you're working. You're working on being in shape…

Maybe. Depends on the girl and how well you know her, I suppose. If this is a first date thing, your answer may be better. If this is a pattern, then I'd argue that broadcasting that you're going to have an awesome time without her might be more effective. Your answer is definitely the cooler play of the two. I'll give you that. Either way though, OP should go have some fun without her.

"No worries. I'm just gonna go whatever awesome thing with fun person/people then instead. Hit me up when you'd like to do whatever it was you had planned." Your value is directly related to your willingness to put up with her shit and your other options. This is shit you shouldn't put up with. Go do something fun and awesome with people that do want to hang out with you. She'll experience FOMO and you'll demonstrate that you're not dependent on her to have a good time. You haven't given us a lot to work with on how you met and started dating. So, I'll make the assumption that you used standard stuff to get everything rolling. If that's the case, then what she was attracted to was an independent guy who had his own life, his own interests, and didn't define his happiness based on if a specific girl was into him or not. If that's the case, you pulled a bait and switch on her when you changed into needy, clingy guy later. If you want to win this girl back over yo…

You are approching this wrong. The point of talking to a girl is not to talk. The point of talking to a girl is to get to know her. You're not there to make small talk. You're not there to impress. You're getting to know someone to see if they are the type of person that you would like to get to know better, eventually leading to a potential romantic relationship. In order to keep the conversation natural and interesting, you need to ask questions that you actually want the answers to. What is i…

Perspective: If you were dating someone and a girl came up to you at a bar and expressed interest, how would you feel? Would you be insulted or would you feel good that someone found you attractive enough to approach you even if you weren't interested? As long as you're not an ass and keep hitting on someone that says they're attached, you're not going to hurt anyone's feelings, and you're not getting rejected. Agreed. Can't overthink it. Really, I'm just trying to give OP a frame of reference for handling a boy-ish girl: Think of them as a guy. Until the requisite experience is gained, it sure helps to have a frame of reference.

Dude. A) You got bent enough about a Pokemon argument to yell at a girl? B) You're worried about losing social status to the guy in the group that puffs out his chest and tries really hard to be the "alpha male". Except that guy is a chick. Basically you're getting run over by an AMOG wanna-be. Treat her as such and you'll be fine. Had a buddy in college. Reasonably good looking guy, but not over the top. Used the shotgun approach all the time. His line was "May I stick my cock in your ass?" 99 times out of 100 he got slapped or worse. Twice it worked. According to him, the two that said yes were worth all the slaps and drinks thrown in his face.

I thought you might still be a teenager. That's cool. Helps me understand your perspective, and given her age a less pressure-filled approach is appropriate. But, as someone almost twice your age I'm here to tell you that asking for a date is not an ultimatum. It's projecting confidence and strength. Men go for what they want. Children ask permission. I think you feel like you've been straight-forward. And compared to your peers, you probably have. But think about what a guy who was a bit older,…

I get it, but I just totally disagree. How old are you? Maybe there is an age component to this. I suspect you're a bit younger than me. An important aspect of seduction is projecting confidence and clear intentions. (This is why it is ok to admire how a girl looks when you first see her. Asking her to twirl around so you can get a better look is a great start to the night.) It is also important to convey that you are interested in a relationship that isn't just about hanging out. You have plent…

Depends on whether or not the other guy is a buddy of yours. If he is, then I'd move on and let him have her. Doesn't sound like this is the case based on your post. The way I see it your best play here is to make it crystal clear you have no interest in the friend-zone and see how she reacts. "Going on an adventure together" is pretty close to what a friend-zoned guy would propose. If you haven't already made your intentions crystal clear, then it's very possible she is really just looking for …

I'd advise against it. First impressions are important and are not the time for teasing or negging. That comes later. I'd rather use it later as an opportunity to establish kino. When you're talking later, say something along the lines of, "We've really got to work on your handshake. Come here. I'll show you how." Have her take your hand and teach her the proper way. Teach her about maintaining eye contact. Make her stare into your eyes. Damn, this might be even better than the original idea.

If the handshake is bad, then you definitely don't compliment it. She's already showing submissiveness. Maintain eye contact, square your shoulders, take up space, and smile. If she's already showing submissiveness, then chances are given your body language she'll look down. That's good. Let go of her hand after she looks away. Don't step back after shaking hands. Move along. Take up space. Invite her into it later. I think a woman that knows how to shake a hand would not be offended by such a c…

Dial down the cheeze by a factor of ten. Look her in the eye, smile wryly, and say "good handshake". Hold her hand as long as it takes to finish saying it. Let go. Maintain eye contact. Keep smiling. Then move on while still smiling. Nothing there that isn't appropriate for a business handshake. You'll learn what you need to know by how she maintains eye contact and her body language. And, most importantly, you don't sound like a douche by telling her that "ladies" don't know how to shake hands.…

I didn't see excuse making. I saw an attempt at some kind of explanation for an unexplainable, horrible thing. It's a natural reaction to something like this. People weren't trying to blame the recent face-eater on the fact he's a man. They were trying to figure out what the hell caused that dude to go ape shit. Same thing here. edit: The details of the mother's mental illness were relevant to the story and the interviews were with people were an attempt to figure out what the hell just happened…

Everyone's a victim here. Clearly, the mother lost her ability to reason. Assuming it wasn't of her own doing, and nothing indicates that it was, this has very little to do with abuse and men's rights and a lot to do with how mental illness just destroyed a bunch of people's lives.

All the self-qualification you need is to like yourself, be confident in who you are, and to enjoy the company of others and have others enjoy your company. Seeking the approval of others, particularly women, is a beta characteristic.

Sigh. So much to learn. By making her the girl of your dreams you're already in a bad place to be attractive to her. Confessing your feelings to her was the wrong move. Too late to take it back now, though. You don't ask a girl to hang out. You ask her to do awesome things with you. My advice to you is that you sound young and in goofball crush land. Step one is to talk to everyone. And I mean everyone. Make it a point to start three conversations today with random people. Do it again tomorrow. And the next day. Not really. You've already established that you're on to something else which is the main point of the message. It won't be lost on her. By saying that you'll make it up to her, you're playfully indicating that you're still interested in getting together (which is kinda the point of following up) and setting the frame that you were the one that broke the date by making other plans before she could get back to you.

Respect or deference? Listening or hanging on her words? Caring about her before she has shown or disproportionately to how much she cares about you? Respect and listening and caring without requesting at least as much of those things from her? Think hard before you answer those questions for yourself. See, you can be a good guy but not a nice guy. The differences are subtle, but they are there. If you want to escape the perpetual friend zone, you need to change your mindset, but not your person…

Please listen to this guy and lawyer up before you do the test. You seem to love your daughters very much. Be sure you understand the legal issues before you get a test. You may loose your rights to your daughter or you may be forced to care for a child you know is not yours, forever changing your relationship with her. Well, then I would try the other date thing. Make her say that she thought you two were going on a date. That sets the frame of the night and you can approach it as a PU, not a friend date. If she's not willing to say that, then she's friend-zone-ing you and you can move on. And don't let the disqualifying yourself as a boyfriend thing confuse you. That's really a tactic for overcoming LMR. When a girl likes you as a boyfriend, then she my have LMR because she doesn't want to appear easy or slut…

There is a whole sub-game about being the "other guy". Some PUAs are ok with it and some are not. The things you do to get a girl in another relationship are a bit different than single girls. It's not really my area of expertise, but basically you can play the sensitive "you're guy's not good enough for you" angle or you can play the "I'm a ton of fun, no strings attached, sex god" angle. I'm assuming you prefer the latter, and if that's the case, then friend dates are out.
/r/seduction17/07/11 05:19 AM

I know what you meant by a friend date. I was attempting to answer from a PUA perspective. A PUA would have no part of it. A PUA wouldn't let her know that you would just be doing something boring without her. To a PUA, a girl is either a target or a wing. There is no other role a girl can play. If you want to hang out with this girl as a friend, fine. I don't have any problem with that personally. But if you want the PUA perspective, you want her to think that you're doing awesome things when y…

PUAs don't do "friend dates" whatever the hell that is. Tell her you're not interested in going out with someone that is in a relationship and to call you if it doesn't work out. You've got better things to do than hang out with some chick that is with some other guy. Act like it.
/r/seduction17/07/11 04:47 AM

Two words for you: Friend Zone Simply do what they do. Treat them like a friend and don't show any romantic or physical interest. Hit on their friends. Enjoy life. No need to be a dick about it. No need to go about crushing their self-esteem. Just be nice to them and treat them in a non-romantic way.
/r/seduction06/07/11 03:35 AM

Note that this has happened to her many times. The guy is not getting the girl. He is squarely in the psudo-friend zone of a chick that tends to develop dependencies on guys that she can feel like the alpha with. She'll bail on him like the others either when she gets bored with her toy or a more alpha guy (like the one she found herself attracted to) comes along. I suspect she's done this plenty of times.

Good, but don't go there too early in the night. Wait for somebody else to break the crowd participation ice before you do. Trying to get the crowd to sing along with you and failing is just that, a huge fail. People usually need a good deal of booze in them before this type of song becomes a big hit.
