I’m a woman. I have several young kids but I’m wealthy. I don’t need a man’s financial support. But I don’t want to date a man without money because the last thing I need is financially supporting a man in addition to my kids.

Younger women with kids will have younger kids. Women your age probably have kids that are about the same age as your kids. Are you dating women your age?

Sounds like postpartum depression. She should see a doctor. If she’s resenting motherhood I would encourage her to go back to work. Being depressed and home all day with a baby is only making things worse. It sounds like she’s really in a bad place mentally. I would not leave the baby alone with her all the time. And even worse throw a divorce into the mix and potentially have her care for the baby full time alone. At least stay close by so you can coparent which gives you time with your son and…

I never said it applied to your specific case. You made a generalization saying if someone cannot financially support their children they shouldn’t have custody. I don’t think that makes sense in many cases. Maybe it does in yours. No need to be vulgar.

So a stay at home mom who has no income at the time of divorce should get zero custody of the children? You think it’s in the best interest of the children never to see their primary care giver again? Wow

You’re living in a fantasy. You think you’re going to leave your wife and find someone perfect like one of the sex workers. Real women are not like that. It’s an illusion. Because after work, even the sex workers put on a hoodie and eat a bag of chips on the couch while watching trash TV. I’m not saying stay with your wife, just saying your expectations for your future are not realistic. It’s unlikely you’ll find your real life Barbie doll.

If your job pays exceptionally well, I’m thinking several hundred thousand a year, I don’t see where 5 dates are a big deal.

It’s just a bit much. The perks of your job that she indulged in. 3 weeks. How much indulging could that have possibly been.

You fall in love super fast. And you fall out of love just as fast. There are years or months of actions or inactions that move the marriage closer to its end but the actual part where she realizes the love is gone takes only a moment.

She’s not manipulating you just because she’s choosing not to be one of many women you’re seeing and banging at the same time. She likes you and wants it to be a respectful relationship where neither of you are sleeping around while you’re exploring if you want to be together long term. If you don’t want anything serious and want to sleep around, then go sleep around. She seems to be looking for a long term partner. There’s nothing manipulative about it. Just say not thanks. She’s not asking any…

You’re not on the hook for child support for 17 yrs because you got married or divorced. It’s because you chose to have children. So, if you don’t want to make that mistake again, don’t make more children.

It’s not all about the prenup. The prenup will help if you’re both working full time and have no kids at the time of divorce. You’re not bringing in significant assets so you’re really trying to shield your future income from your wife. If you have kids and she becomes a stay at home mom, then good luck with that prenup. The state won’t pay for your wife and kids if you can. They will make you to take care of everyone. So unless you want to have a family and sign up to take care of them for life…

My wife will probably still be a SAHM (she does work part time). I think between child support, alimony and her current salary, she won’t have to work more unless she chooses to. Doesn’t mean she should have the kids more. She can do whatever she wants on her time. On my time they can go to daycare and be home with me after.

I always read 50/50 should be the hill to die on. My question is…..will I die on that hill? If this goes before a judge, will I actually get the 50/50? How often do men actually succeed?

The asset split is another story. I don’t want to split assets 50/50. I’ll pay child support and make sure she’s all set but I don’t think she should get half. I hope I won’t lose it all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
