Start small. I really struggled with this, but I thought about small things I could reveal to people to test the waters, but if I got bad responses it wouldn't destroy my confidence. As I got comfortable with the small vulnerability, I found the people I could trust to reveal the bigger things. Nope. A good exercise in overcoming intrusive/irrational thoughts; write out a list of women in relationships you know who fit that assumption, and then a list of women in relationships who don't fit that stereotype. For what it's worth, humanity survives because of our diverse taste in partners.
