Thanks! Yes, I've become muuuch more self accepting and confident over the years. I think those two things are intertwined :-).

Sure, and I guess to some people posts like this can be helpful. I was just trying to point out the obvious with my useless comment 😀. Personally, I was single most of my life because I was afraid to express sexual/romantic attraction, despite being quite good looking and outgoing.

There are tons of reasons why a particular person is single. Only the person in question can really say.

I don't know man, I've dated super hot girls are tired of guys pretending to be tough or whatnot and are happy to meet someone who's just genuine about it. That said, of course you're sometimes cheeky about it and generally take the lead, but the post I replied to was just such an exaggeration. Yes, you can talk like a normal person and no you don't have to stress over what words to use, it's really much more simple 😀.

This sounds like some weird ass dating advice theory rather than real life experience. Polite, straight up invitations to date with no "game" bullshit is perfect to engage with sensible girls who'll also honestly tell you if they want to hang out. If not, no time wasted, no hard feelings, moving on. Works perfectly for me.

No need to be a dick just because it's a platitude to you.
/r/seduction14/11/19 07:58 PM

Absolutely, same here. And yes, she's either dull or not interested... So I kind of move on unless I have a good reason not to.
/r/seduction14/11/19 10:12 AM

Fair point, though for me some chemistry has to get going over text too. If she's dull in texting she's probably dull irl too. I'm willing to make exceptions but so far it has always proven true. :-)

Isn't conversation about determining whether you want to spend time with a person, rather than trying to impress them no matter what?

Oh man I can relate SO much. I've also always been the type who's got it easy with the conversation, but the potential romantic / sexual approach terrifies me. That said I've overcome it countless of times, and just like you the response doesn't matter so much as me overcoming myself. When they have boyfriends, the responses have been: "Wow, thanks so much, do you wanna sit down with us, so cool of you to approach! " "What, me? Wow, thank you. Are you local? Cause guys don't do that here." "You …

Casual sex is overrated. Makes me much less neddy and desperate. If I don't have a good personal connection, I won't enjoy any physical affection either. So I can just ease into the flow when it happens, and not fuss if it doesn't.

I think every situation must be viewed separately with objectivity. Did I fuck up? Is she boring to me? Are we merely incompatible? Could be either. The compulsive need to always blame others comes from inability to admit faults - it's too painful because is mistakingly associated with worthlessness. The other extreme is always blaming oneself. It's a matter of how one was brought up. In psychological maturity, I think, one can objectively evaluate why some relationships don't work out without t…

I always like to keep the initial texting casual and fun, aiming to meet. That's easier to not fuck up. 😉

Of course, then again, why would I be on a date with such a person in the first place? :-) Has happened to me that I approach a girl, talk a bit, get her number, but she is such a dull conversationalist that I never bring it further.
/r/seduction22/04/19 01:46 PM

But what if she's just boring?

I agree with most of it, but hell no about the shorts! I cycle a lot and girls have told me I have hot legs :D.

Good! I find feeling good about one's appearance helps loads in approaching. Sometimes at a bar I go to the toilet to look in the mirror and acknowledge I look good before approaching a girl 😀.
/r/seduction13/04/19 07:24 PM
1

No. I said one thing jokingly and apologized. Calling me names and thinking you know the situation better than me seems closer to assholy arrogance to me. During our later conversations, she agreed her reaction was uncalled for and I deserved none of that.
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:42 PM

Do actually say that! I want to know her reaction :D.
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:38 PM

Yeah, and it also shows you're confident enough to handle awkwardness and not be afraid of embarrassment :).
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:36 PM

Admit it's embarrassing! The definition of awkward is two or more people pretending something isn't awkward!
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:28 PM

You mean to a girl you know nothing about, merely the fact she's pretty?
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:26 PM
2

I would say, walk up to her with a smile when she's alone - immediately after class or during a break? Think of the first thing you'll say, maybe refer to what you talked in the past, or a topic that concerns you both in school but isn't super boring. And as conversation naturally draws to a close, say you'd like to take her out for coffee or something, and if she says she'd love to, ask for her number/facebook/myspace/whatever :D.
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:13 PM
1

Good luck dude! Do report back! :)
/r/seduction13/04/19 06:10 PM
1

Is it just me or giving girls numbers is a meh move? Then women have to be the ones initiating the conversation later, and that rarely happens. Asking for her contacts is much better.
/r/seduction13/04/19 05:34 PM
1

Noo, don't do that!! That's a bad move, I think. You have to be more proactive! Now that you've talked, the door is open - you can just say hi again strike up a casual conversation about food or something. Or if you don't see her irl that often, add her on Facebook, chat a bit and ask her out ;-).
/r/seduction13/04/19 05:31 PM
1

Talk what you're passionate about! I often tell girls of my travels, adventures, philosophy because I'm a pretty interesting guy 😀. Though I do try to keep myself in check make sure we are communicating in a mutual way. I guess the test for me is: is this connecting us and is interesting to both of us?
/r/seduction13/04/19 05:28 PM

That's a stupid phrase to say to a girl, but I think I have replied with "went out for a walk hoping to meet a beautiful girl".

How in the world are you apologizing for grammar if all that's missing is one coma? That's the ESL syndrome 😀.

I agree, apart from the cold approaches. I've done them in really cool and friendly ways, and things have worked out :-).

OK, this "testing" this seems weird to me. It feels like guys have this idea that girls often "test" them. In truth they couldn't care less for "testing" a random dude, they probably have more interesting things to do. Also, women meet a lot of creeps almost daily, so I think they are hesitant to send wrong messages to wrong people, therefore, if she really holds eye contact and laughs, 99% she likes you. And even if she's taken or not interested, and it's a misinterpretation, she obviously li…

Really? Don't see why you'd think that :). I already made a similar post some time ago, and got in touch with a guy with whom we spoke over the phone regularly, challenged and inspired each other. That was pretty awesome, but I felt it lacked the real-life communication part.

It's interesting that when I actually approach and am eye to eye with a girl, everyone else disappears. I realize that only after the interaction, that for that moment it was only us in my universe.

I'm not passing out advice, neither making justifications. You might notice none of this was my opinion.

OK, advice for specific women I get, but how can you qualify what's beginners and what's not?
/r/seduction16/07/15 08:06 PM

I would definitely not pursue anything if I felt I might scar her emotionally. I would never pretend to want something romantic just to get her in bed. Thanks for the comment :).

That's a good point, the psychological immaturity is a big turn-off. Though it isn't always the case. A couple of years ago I met this 18 year-old. I noticed her but wasn't paying special attention because she looked so young. But I met her in a lecture, and after the lecture we started sharing our opinions in a group a philosophical topic. When I heard her speak, I was amazed. She was very insightful and intelligent, then I got to know her more and found out that she had more depth to her perso…

Well, I live in a fairly generic European country :). And it's not so much about a specific women, but young girls in general. She's just an example.
/r/seduction16/07/15 07:16 PM

I think you're contradicting yourself. You're saying there's nothing wrong, then go on to say she could be my daughter, alluding that there is something wrong :D. Actually I'd have to become a father at 12 for her to be my daughter :D.
/r/seduction16/07/15 07:13 PM

I updated the post to mention the age of consent in my country is 16. And I don't actually know her age. But I still feel insecure about approaching her.

That's a good point, I'll practise number exchange from now on. If she doesn't contact me, I'll go to where she works again and arrange a date or get her number this time. What if she hesitates to give you her number? Do you offer yours?

I don't understand this numbering women. What does a 9 actually mean and how do you decide? What did she lack to be a a 10? I'm seriously new to this concept.
/r/seduction13/07/15 06:56 AM

No they don't. What's better - saying something simple yet sincere, or "unique" and learned? Seriously, compliments are about the feeling, the look in your eyes, and the earnest smile when you say them. If I see a girl and genuinely the first thing that pops into my head is "nice smile", that's what I say. If it's "you have the cutest nose in the known universe", that's what I say. It's about what bubbles up and makes you laugh when you say it.

Do you usually ask for the number or give yours? In what situations?
/r/seduction11/07/15 07:09 PM

I dunno. For me it's first rationally understand my anxiety, then using that understanding to make friends with it and overcome it. Reading "Models" seriously changed me like nothing ever could before. :-)

This relaxation you mention... You relaxed when you saw that she was friendly and appreciated your boldness. It seems to me we can hold beliefs that other people, especially girls we like, are mean. Because we've been hurt before. But they're not. 99% will be nice to you. And those who will not - they're regurgitating their own pain and deserve only sympathy.
/r/seduction01/07/15 09:03 PM

I love you man, you're the best! Can relate to your feelings so much! One day all this anxiety will be a thing of the past, and you will wonder how much irrational thought patterns could control you! :-)

By "stalk" I meant "looked them up", not sure if it came across that way.

/r/seduction30/06/15 07:34 AM

I see :-). I think there is absolutely nothing wrong just stating it like that: I know we started off with sex but I'm genuinely interested in to get to know you. What do you think?
/r/seduction30/06/15 07:33 AM

So basically you only want to use her connections, not become her friend, right?
/r/seduction30/06/15 07:13 AM

Damn, fascinating read! I've felt for a while that somehow what I call approach anxiety is actually insecurity and pain stemming from my unhealthy and loveless family situation. I confront a deep seated feeling of not being good enough. Insecurity masked as bravado.

:) Read this on another topic: "I've heard the phrase "do it, you have nothing to lose" plenty of times. But it really hit me earlier this week. Just do something to initiate contact, you can embarrass yourself really hard, she might like you or not, if not - NO PROBLEM, YOU WILL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN! If she likes you, who knows, maybe she will be a fuck-friend/gf or your future wife :) Just do it man. Stop wasting time not doing the things you want to do. Because who wants to die full of regrets…

Maybe we have a fear of awkwardness when feeling awkward is precisely the most normal and natural emotion to feel in such situations? Maybe we have this false idea that we should get rid of this awkwardness when in reality we should accept the necessity and beauty of it?
/r/seduction16/05/13 01:31 PM
1

Ha! :-) I think for me it all revolves around being scared of showing I'm interested. Fear of being open and vulnerable, maybe, losing the cool guy pose? In reality I think girls don't mind if a guy says hi, smiles and feels obviously awkward. That just shows he's attracted, and the girl probably feels flattered. Still I find it very hard to overcome this fear.
/r/seduction16/05/13 01:26 PM
3

Dude, this is totally me! I find it easy to talk to strangers when I need to, but when the conversation must be initiated because I'm attracted to a girl, by brain freezes and gets scared of the awkwardness. And also of showing I'm interested.
/r/seduction16/05/13 01:19 PM

Nice, man! I was at the theatre yesterday, and this quite cute girl was giving me glances, but I never approached her. I am somehow always afraid to admit I'm interested. If I'm not, I find it very easy to start conversations.
