In my family my mother is the one spending way more money for herself (clothes, beauty products, smarphones, laptops and so on), despite the fact my father is the one earning more. If I had to guess which of my parents spent more money overall for the family, I would say my father without a doubt. I rarely see my father buy something for himself, on the other hand my mother does it very often. Talking about grocery, they do it equally more or less. This is just what happens in my family, but by …

Pro choice or pro choice with time limit, but the father must have a say about it, I’d say that the man cannot force the woman to have the baby or to abort if she doesn’t want to, because it’s her body. The woman on the other hand cannot force the man to become a father and support the child if he doesn’t want to.

Or maybe those are actually feminists, that is feminism, and maybe you and other people, who hopefully are for real equality, should maybe stop justifying feminism just because you have always proudly called yourself like that, and whenever someone attacks feminism, your ego turns off your brain and you repeat those bs about patriarchy to feel good and right.

Didn’t say that. I said they don’t talk about real men’s issues because, as feminists, they think men are privileged

For what I've seen, MensLib is just the place where feminists (men and women) claim to discuss about men's issues, but the issues they discuss are all about sexuality (a lot on focus on gay and non-binary men) and redefining masculinity from a basically feminist point of view most of the times. Don't get me wrong, making men free and comfortable to express themself in every way is welcome, but that's just a marginal part of the problem. But they don't talk about other men's issues because the st…

Sadly modern feminism is an obstacle when it comes to solve men’s problems. I appreciate the fact that despite considering yourself a feminist, you understand men face problems and are not privileged, but consider stop identifying as a feminist, and start saying you are for equality. “True feminism” doesn’t exist, and whatever your definition of feminism is, it doesn’t match the reality. Start supporting battles you believe are good and think with your own head, don’t support a movement that sha…

If whistling at women should be illegal, then it should be illegal both for men and women, and it should be illegal doing it both to men and women. Also anything comparable to a whistle should become illegal as well, so potentially any undesireda verbal approach would be illegal as well, unless it is undeniably polite. I don't know, I know catcalling is offensive, I hate people who do it and I never do it, but this seems so stupid to me.

I know. Sadly too many women like to believe they are victims and actually believe women have it worse, just because they’ve been told that, and not because they’ve actually experienced any particular oppression.

I mean, if feminism was about solving problems like the right of abortion and other REAL women’s issues, I would be completely fine with that. Sadly it’s not

It’s even funnier (or sad) when male feminists want to tell other men how oppressed women are.

It's not an ethicity so it's right to hate them? explain please

Yeah, when they think about men they only think about the rich, white, cis, heterosexual man who rapes women as a hobby. They never think about the average middle class good guy who would never harm anyone. Poor and humble men, gay men, trans men, black men, asian men... and so on, they are all men, don’t they deserve some celebration as well?

Honestly it's disgusting. This shows how much hate people have towards men.

If the discussion is about "should trans women compete in women's sports?" I have to refer to trans women as trans women and not just women. This doesn't mean I have anything against them. Can we stop this trend of getting offended by EVERYTHING? Women are generally speaking less strong than men, that's not mysoginist, and people should not be afraid of saying it just because someone finds it offensive.
/r/MensRights16/05/21 07:52 AM

From a biological point of view, they are not "standard" women. And there's nothing offensive about it, it's just the way it is.

The article is about a woman who expressed her opinion without insulting anyone, and she got reported and might be punished for it. Please tell me how what she said is mysoginist or transphobic.

Can we stop with all this no-sense politically correct? Transwomen are transwomen. Saying "women have vaginas" is not offensive, it is just stating a fact. Also stop calling people homophobic/mysoginist/transphobic just because they disagree with you or have a different point of view, and you want to look better than them.

The definition of feminism doesn't matter sadly. The "true feminism" doesn't exist or is so rare that it doesn't matter at all. Nowdays feminism is just a fight for women's rights and priviledges, and it is hurting men more than it is helping. Moreover feminists most of the times don't even understand what it means to be a man nowdays and what men's problems are.Feminism is about equality in theory, but then labels men as priviledged and it silences and dimineshes any attempt to bring up men prob…

I'm just saying that anyone can have several reasons to prefer having a son over a daughter of viceversa, and sometimes sexism is involved, but a lot of times is just a pure preference based on personal experience and based on a specific reason they find relevant in that moment.
/r/MensRights15/04/21 10:08 PM

You are talking like we live in a world in which men and women are biologically identical and are treated equally by society. I can prefer a daughter just because there's statistically more chance my son suicides, for example. Is that misandric or is that a society issue I don't want my child to deal with? I don't care if in India men want sons so for whatever reason, this doesn't mean that everyone who wants a son in the rest of the world is a misoynist.
/r/MensRights15/04/21 07:30 PM

You are basically ignoring that someone can have a simple preference (based on personal experience or simply on the fact there are biological differences between sexes and we live in a not gender equal society) and you are assuming there must be some gender hate reason related to that. If I want a son because I think men are better, then yes I'm a misogynist. If I want a son because I've always got along better with boys/men for example, well I'm just expressing a preference, and this doesn't me…

Still a lot of communities don't ban someone just because he/she doesn't agree with them or points out something stupid the author of the post said.

I got banned from that sub for saying that if a woman prefers having a son instead of a daughter, that's not "Internalized misoginy". They literally don't want a discussion, they want their echo chamber sub to upvote and agree to all the nosense/misandric/victimistic posts they create every day
/r/MensRights15/04/21 01:16 PM

I agree that this sub should not be about mocking women. Need to point out though girls are not really “pushed” into certain jobs in this century, and men probably suffer from social stigma way more than them in the scenario of choosing a job

Do you really believe it? In italy there are a lot of young women (and men) who proudly call themself feminists and believe men are priviledged and patriarchy is a thing. It's not something is going to die on its own. Edit: Media talk only about women and women's issues as well.

Nice post. Happy women's day, hopefully they understand this movement is not about misogyny and we don't hate women just because we are not feminists

Yeah, I saw that one so many times. In the last year at my high school we used to do swimming instead of standard PE. Several girls who could barely swim got the same grade of a guy who used to compete at the time (they all got 9/10, the female professor didn't give 10/10 to that guy). Several boys, who could definitely swim better than some girls who got 9/10, got only 7 or 8/10. And this is just an example. I saw this happen so many times in school and not only in PE.

Thank you for sharing. I want to point out, men can be assholes as well, there will always be assholes no matter the gender. And I have been lucky enough to meet wonderful women and men in my life. Women are not the problem, feminism and the feminist's narrative are the real problem.

Well said. You can cry as much as you want, but as long as the reasons you feel like crying remain, crying won't save your life. How can you even tell someone who lost everything (his children, his money, his house, his friends) with just a divorce or a false accusation of violence that he needed to express his feelings more. How can you tell someone who gets abused by his wife, and can do NOTHING about it, that he should have expressed his feelings more. How can you tell someone who has always …

Women already do it everyday in their feminists subs, is it that hard for you to accept that men are discriminated for their gender too?
/r/MensRights06/02/21 05:44 PM

Honestly I've never seen any homophobic comment or post in this sub, moreover I've seen many gay men posting and commenting here. Homophobia should not exist, but don't associate that to the mens rights movement
/r/MensRights27/01/21 12:05 AM

I'm saying that feminists are all over the place, and being feminist is not necesseraly a red flag. I've met some wonderful girls who claimed to be feminists, but they were not idiots, society just tells every woman to be feminist and that women are discriminated

I have seen a therapist for a year, a couple of months after the end of my toxic relationship. My ex girlfriend had toxic behaviour, I haven't fully healed after almost 3 years since I left her. But society and feminism don't think psychological violence is a problem, if men are the victims at least.
