If I recall it correctly, Nordic researchers offered this polygyny alternative or a possible formation of state-mandated marriage overseen by a state entity, a ”Ministry of Love” that would do the matchmaking of who breeds with who with regards also to the preservation of the variety of the male genes. But only to fill in the birth rate as required at a given time. They’d randomly choose fit bachelors and bachelorettes of certain age as needed. Sort of like a draft. A draconian measure certainly…

Well, funnily enough feminists were enraged by the inequality issue of men getting a free extensive medical examination during the draft, while women don’t, because women are not drafted. That was the only inequality issue that raised concerns here. Lmao. Nevermind men having to shave their heads, live in barracks and get paid less a day for a year than what you’d earn in an hour working at McDonald’s. Women do get state sponsored HPV screening and mammography throughout their lives every 5 yrs.…

Here (FIN) you are graded A, B, C, E and T, meaning how fit you are to serve. A is fully fit to serve. B (class 1 and 2) is modified service. Maintenance, cooking, postal servive, cleaning etc. menial supportive duties. C is pardoned from service during time of peace. For instance if you have diabetes or are morbidly obese, or have minor mental health issues. C-men are called into service during mobilization. E is temporarily postponed from service due to injury etc. T is unfit to serve. General…

I think a lot of the complaints from women’s side comes from men generally being taken more seriously, when men actually finally seek medical aid. And by that time they’re probably already carrying their head with them to the doctor’s office. I read a doctor say, that when a man finally does show up to a doctor’s office and says: ”You know, doc, I’ve been feeling a bit weird lately.” you’ve got about 90 minutes time to save his life.

Either you pick the car you can afford and stop feeling ashamed for it. Or then you take the bus while dreaming about the car you can’t afford and virtue signal about climate change to other people to keep your face. It’s all a status thing in the end for some people.

There was a Swedish study which found, that when the woman in a marriage starts earning more than the husband, the chance of divorce goes up. Also men are then more likely to be alcoholics and suffer from mental disorders. Naturally this was framed as the man becoming insecure due to the woman’s higher earnings and becoming an alcoholic with mental disorders — for maximum men=bad points! What they tactically didn’t say was, that a man with alcoholism and mental disorders would be very likely to …

In the feminist narrative the patriarchy is now just what Satan is to Christianity. Misogyny is the original sin of man and men are the sinners. Everything bad and wrong about the world is misogyny. If a woman does something bad, it’s internalized misogyny, so therefore it’s actually the patriarchy’s (read: men’s) fault. Women are nothing but innocent victims with no agency, who are tempted by the patriarchal snake to defile themselves by internalizing misogyny. It was funny watching from the si…

We have a running gag in my country, that the feminist Green Party popular with left-leaning urban women is actually just the Parks and Recreation department of the neoliberal right. Funnily enough their ladies do seem to prefer to date and marry well-off businessmen. To add to the insult they also tend to vote in-line with their neoliberal hubbies in municipalities while virtue-signalling in the media. But I guess as long as you cry about misogyny and climate change, the hoi polloi keep falling…

I remember when there was a debate about cougar being offensive, ageist and sexist term. Now it’s empowering apparently. It’s just the toy-boy term for their paramours that should deservedly be massively problematic. I mean, can it possibly get more objectifying than that? Still the term is thrown around in the media like it’s nothing. So older men showing sexual attraction towards younger women are dirty old men and pervs. Younger men involved with older women are toy-boys. Got it.

But what brought the phenomenon into being? Oddly enough it seems to be a problem mainly in western countries. For instance there are more lonely an alienated men in Japan, yet they seem to be either hikikomori or herbivore men. There must be a catalyst other than empty-headed tautologies, such as: young men are entitled, narcissistic and insecure, so we have problem X, because they’re entitled, narcissistic and insecure. Gee. How insightful. Like how about seriously trying to dig into the root …

Hey. I’m actually Finnish. We are wrestling with the same problem, because Finland is now the number one most violent country in the EU according to our survey. The Nordic countries rank the highest in violence towards women according to the surveys. We call this the Nordic Paradox here. The more egilitarian the country is, the higher the rate of violence towards women. How come the most egilitarian countries rank so high in these surveys? Our crime statistics give little to no validity to these…

Could be masked preselection bias. No one wants to be the first one to walk into an empty restaurant they don’t know beforehand. I agree on the interpersonal skills part. People here seem to play too much roleplaying games and think they somehow actually level up in relationships. Actually much can be very negative experience, such as learned bad models of solving conflicts in a relationship. There’s a reason why relationship therapists exist and they rarely are for the inexperienced ones. Peopl…

They exist only in fiction as banalities. You’d have to be born on a pile of money to live such a career suicidal lifestyle. Then again, sitting on a pile of cash and with the title of a Baron you can probably talk about potatoes all day and everyone will pretend like they care. No matter how awkward you are.

It is essentially a fantasy. That’s the whole point. I’m glad you figured it out.

Yes. Charm and charisma are very much learned qualities. They amplify with age and knowledge. A positive mindset and working on confidence are very fundamental and very central for male growing experience. As for wits, same. Think of yourself in that regard like ChatGPT. Wittiness and situational abilities arise from having a massive verbal bank of words and phrases in your head. You can absolutely read yourself into it with books. Read classics, watch comedies and develop a toolset. Learn to co…

I think this is where many men go wrong when they think being quiet and mysterious is an aesthetic: something to cave into, when you want to disguise your insecurities and shyness with an aura of edginess. It’s probably the worst disservice a man can do to himself. Men, who actually possess these qualities are a rare breed. They may sit in a social situation, not saying much and seem brooding and lost in thought. When they do say something, it’s right on the spot, showing lots of insight. This s…

Yeah, so our national research suggests. Although seeing, that around 21% of women are in ”other relationship” -type scenarios compared to 12% of men, some men might consider themselves single even when they’re in some sort of situationships.

Strangely enough the Family Federation of Finland’s Family Barometer 2024 showed strangely consistent numbers in their work. Sadly it hasn’t been translated into English as of yet. The attached Figure shows relationship status of men and women in respective age brackets. LGBTQ relationships accounted to about 5% in men and 3% in women and remained fairly consistent across all age brackets. <image> Miehet= men Naiset= women Avioliitto= marriage Avoliitto= partnership (cohabitation) Muu suhde= ”ot…
