Unfortunately, you have to accept that you may have lost your kids in the short term. You are playing the long game, because you may have lost the short game. 1) Be the best man and father that you can be. Use your time without your kids to better your parenting skills, therapy, career, shape, etc… One day, if your kids no longer hate you, they need to find a great man to be their father. 2) Be the consistent safe space. You are likely already forbidden from disparaging your spouse and discussin…

I know it sounds crass, but find something to do. Follow local Instagrams and Reddits. When something looks even the slight bit interesting then go. I work Sunday, Tuesday, Saturday. I have open water swimming, Monday and Thursday nights. I go to church now on Wednesday nights. I always plan something on Fridays. A round trip train ticket to DC where I live is 34 bucks, so I plan to go again soon. I just cannot stop moving or I get overwhelmed. Become the best you that you can be and have fun do…

About 60% of divorced men remarry. I still want everything that I wanted on my wedding day. If I can get it, then I will jump at the chance. However, after having my naïveté taken advantage of once, I do not know how I can trust someone like that again.

Divorce rates are really only high for remarriage. The overwhelming majority of first marriages succeed. Even high divorce professions like nurses and police officers mostly stay married. Now why would someone get remarried? I know personally, I still want everything that I wanted on my wedding day. I feel tricked and cheated. I would rather stay single than go through this again. Most women tell me that they would never treat their husbands the way that I have been treated. However the existenc…

My algorithm is more manosphere right now. It is a lot of how to deal with cheaters and liars and how women do not always treat men well. I have discovered the angry stepmom corner and I am loving it. It is just women complaining about their husband’s ex-wife.

Instagram is great for this kind of thing. I have been building a bucket list of things to see locally within a couple of hours drive. There is a 2 hour train to DC here, that will take you for 34 dollars round trip. If I bring my own food, I can have a day trip for less than 50 dollars even with parking included. Wednesday, I have a 57 mile bike ride planned, because I have got to stay busy. Tonight, I have a swim planned in a local river. If that gets rained out, I am going to get some of my w…

I just assume that everything is tainted somehow and somewhere. Like the other gentleman said, be thankful that you are no longer in that marriage.

Here is the deal. The majority of first marriages do not end in divorce. Further, the higher the education of both parties, the less the risk of divorce. So statistically, you are unlikely to ever get divorced. However, I just reached a point where divorce was my only play in my marriage, I had already tried everything else. It hurts like hell. As bad as it is on you and her, it is worse on the kids. My marriage was worse than I will ever likely know, but you have a good shot at a long healthy m…

Male and female cops will often give their partners their night shift weeks in exchange for custody during their day shift weeks. Also, proximity matters a ton. The kids have to be able to attend their lives with both parents. Long distance custody arrangements generally are preexisting and one parent moves away. If you want more overnights, you have to be willing to trade something in return.

Alimony is separate from child support. If she can argue that she had non-financial contributions to the marriage, she can be awarded alimony as compensation for her years in the marriage. The idea behind alimony is compensation for lost wages.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
