Don't give someone advice when you know their prime motive is to use someone. OP is talking about adjusting the advice they give to young men, given that the current cultural advice we give to young women is to party hard and then settle down later. Are you suggesting that the prime motive young men have in dating is to use someone?

It's just really unreasonable to me that we want to tell those guys who are "striking out" to just be patient. It is unreasonable. The unreasonableness of it is a huge part of what drives people to TRP.
