When I told my ex girlfriend to move out, she made a slew of terrible, false accusations against me. I wasn’t guilty of anything, but it cost me my entire savings to defend myself. She also stole a ton of my things before leaving, and the police didn’t believe me. They also threatened me, one officer saying he would make sure I spend years in jail. I’ve been afraid of police ever since, so much that people around me keep telling me to “get over it” and “move on”. I’ve been called paranoid so man…

THIS is why #metoo scares me, it’s inducing paranoia! Her boyfriend has a successful career, and was so close to a life-ruining false accusation. It happened to me. I was stuck in an abusive relationship with someone who was violent and controlling. When I told her to move out, she called the police with a ton of accusations against me. I had to leave my career field, move to a new town, and work in a different field.

Mentioning phones along with acting disinterested in your answers, especially. I have a hard time finding a woman who will put her phone away long enough to talk to me, and not interrupt when I answer a question she asked.

The same thing happened to me five years ago, except all charges were dismissed rather than a "guilty" or "innocent". I never even had to take the stand in my trial, after her testimony everything was thrown out. Just like OP I still have terrible flashbacks and a really hard time making it through the day sometimes. Think I might have a chance as well? I do need closure to finally get my life back on track.

It's just more of the same. I was force-fed this one sided propaganda most of my early adult life, and as a result was blind to the violence, manipulation, and psychological torture an ex girlfriend inflicted upon me. I couldn't get out, first because I was taught to believe that I was the problem, and second because so few people recognize women's violent potential. This kind of thinking is just going to lead to more victims and more abusers.

I wouldn't go that far. Of course it's important to fight for your rights and convictions, but there hits a point where patienc runs out. Money runs out, the will to fight runs out. When it's a never ending uphill battle, sometimes you have to back down for a while to save your sanity.

What kind of disfigurement is possible? When I was younger I'd pop the randomboners all the time, and would just squeeze them under my belt and hope the front of my shirt covers things up. If that's bad for you, what happens? As far as I can tell everything looks ok down there, but I've had thousands of boners compressed and hidden.......

It's an excuse to be passive aggressive and insulting. I've had girls say terrible things to me, ranging from "You look so gay with those clothes" to "Your car is a piece of shit", and when I question these insults it's followed up with "But I was just being sarcastic!"

I've been falsely accused by a woman, that's why I'm still here. She did terrible things to me, yet once the police got involved I was the one carted away. When a friend laughed about International Men's Day yesterday, this issue of police bias is one I brought up.
