Extra tip. Beware that dads hormones fluctuate too. Theres a lot of pressure to be a good dad and not mess up. A lot of guys get lower libido and so on for some time after a pregnancy.

If you trust him, you could just show him this post. Tell him how much you miss him and what you'd want the two of you to work on. Don't put it in nagging terms, which can be difficult in a tough spot, or he will hear you telling him around. For the same reason, don't suggest couples therapy this early either unless he brings it up favorably himself. Once someone feels more questioned than valued, they stop engaging properly. You can do this. I already see you have the qualities it would take. I…

It sounds to me like you sought a breeder and you got it. I'm not religious myself, but ask and you shall recieve. (and conceive apparently) What else did you see in this guy? If he won't go down on you, why is that? Is that a new thing or was he never into it? Porn consumption, like sex, can greatly warp a mans mind too. If he's addicted, what is he trying to compensate for in his own soul right now? He needs motivation(s) to break the habit. Telling him to go out with a selfiidentified slut mi…

Not to try to control your life, but a tip might be to get him more involved in the logic behind the selection of the gifts. To engage his rational and playful sides. A bit like a game, rather than a problem or the other way around depending on which way he leans. That way men feel there is more of a reason to care and a real stake in the outcome. I too, as a man, generally don't feel it otherwise. Especially if there are other problems/tasks around to take care of, it feels like a waste of time…

Control is good, when you want it that is.

Is he social and do they want the gifts? If not, you are creating a false personality and then attaching yourself to it. If he is and they are, you may be helping but would do better to find a way around the nagging part. No man likes to be nagged, if that is what he feels it is. (He may put up with it, if he for whatever reason finds it cute/useful or finds you good enough in other areas)

The validity of your ideas here, for one thing, depend a lot on what you mean by "control" in this context. It's good for women to have standards and polarity. No good man wants a woman who acts truly unthinkingly or weak willed. He, as she, wants a passionate - in some sense to him exotic - being.

Hoping I'm not violating any rules by commenting (my apology for the intrusion ladies) but I'm a man and would likely take those little "hints" or "helpers" as nagging. And yes, any kind of treating me like a child is different from endearing or cute. It's a complete turnoff and worse. OP, I hope you're not having sex with this guy right now. Tell him it's not him that you're turned off by, it's the smoke lingering or even better the fact that he's smoking is a turn off. But pick one reason and …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
