Own Your Shit Weekly - August 22, 2023Thanks mate, read it and I now need to think about it a bit more deeply. I try to read some posts of the sidebar every week, they're super helpful. Been reading some of your OYS too, wish you a good recovery for your shoulder and hope you reach the settlement you want for divorce. Btw I love biking too. I got my hybrid bike stolen in July but I used it all the time. I'm now saving to buy a grave bike, we have some fun rides planned with a group of friend. | 2 | Own Your Shit Weekly - August 22, 2023Are you sure THAT extra is enough? Specifically that swings are giving you the same benefit of the deadlifts you tried last week, and archer pushups give you as much benefit as bench press would? I am far from an expert, but all of the advice here tends toward 'lift heavy shit' and not 'do kettlebell and calisthenics'. I guess it boils down to how long have you being doing your program and are you happy with the results so far? It definitely is. I'm following a paid program from guys who know th… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/08/23 06:37 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 22, 2023I did Simple & Sinister kettlebells for several years and thought it was enough. It isn't. I've gotten more out ~5 months of GSLP barbells than I ever did from kettlebell. Turkish getups are fun but IMO they're always going to be limited by what you can OHP. Oh I agree it definitely isn't enough. That's why I do it on top of my calisthenics which comprises weighted pull-ups, ring dips, ring rows, archer pushups etc. +kettlebell OHP. I also use barbells for front squat because it's the one thing … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/08/23 02:42 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 22, 2023Career 1- Current job: I'm on annual leave and have 3 week of holidays left. I should have applied to offer because my contract will end in 2024 but I didn't cause I was lazy and in total vacation mode. 2- Side job: I have to get the social media accounts going again for this one and finish the online course. 3- Training: I've started a training course in IT. I said I will work on it 90mn every morning and guess what I didn't. I took breakfast slowly, played with the kid then went to the gym and… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/08/23 12:16 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 22, 2023OYS #2 - Fumbled the bag So this week I mostly messed up. I'm angry at how much I keep ruminating my emotions and anger and getting paralysed as a result. I resent myself because after reading my first OYS I realized even more that I'm full of shit, all talk and no mostly no action. Stats - 35yo, 170cm/5'7, 64KG/140lb, 19%BF. Married 11,5 years, 3 kids 5yo, 3yo and 10 month old Lifts - Calisthenics and Kettlebells. Barbell for front squats. | 1 | Own Your Shit Weekly - August 15, 2023Focus on you. There is a lot of resentment toward your wife throughout your post. If you are going to work on getting back on the road then having something there consistently pissing you off and distracting you isn't good for the trip. True. It's something there constantly pissing me off and distracting me. And not good for the self improvment road yes. Were you ever attracted to your wife? Why did you marry her, were you lonely and got oneitis? You need to examine why you are in the situatio… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 17/08/23 06:54 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 15, 2023Career I'm putting it there because it's the most important part for me right now and quite frankly that's why I'm here principally. I'll divide it in 4 categories with actions to take in each one : current job, side job, training, project. 1- Current job: I'm on annual leave since last week and still have 4 weeks of vacations left including this one (end september 11th). I want to use that to work on my side job and make it work but also to start applying elswhere. My contract ends August 2024 … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 15/08/23 09:35 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 15, 2023OYS #1 - The Start I wanted to post here since beginning of summer but I kept delaying it. I should have done it like it's explained in that post so now I'm here. I have so much work to do it's insane. Stats - 35yo, 170cm/5'7, 64KG/140lb, 19%BF. Married 11,5 years, 3 kids 5yo, 3yo and 10 month old Lifts - I do Calisthenics and Kettlebells (Simple and Sinister). Only barbell for front squats. Broke my arm 3 months ago at BJJ so I am still regaining strength. Current stats for main lifts are Front… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 15/08/23 09:34 PM
