Stereotypes are a good starting point for further study, the are mostly true, too. tv tropes however are almost always 'wrong' (because authors make up stories that are different to reality to make them more interesting)

Just because you and many others are not able to think of a connection doesn't mean that the found correlation between them doesn't go away. Your supposed mechanism has already been disproven to be the main contributor to the differences. Read the damn studies, do not think for 2min and than write stupid shit, that has been studied to death. The real mechanism/explanation is quite easy. Beauty especially of the face is a good indicator for overall mutational load.

Eh. Depends on what you mean with genetic. it's 100% genetic and 100% environmental as all traits. The differences in heigth that can be accounted by genetic varriance (=heritability) is only .4 and you see how strong of a correlation that is in reality.

doesn't mean that those differences do not correlate with other differences in personality. Always ask yourself, why a certain behaviour has evolved and why it has persisted; if your answer is, that they are being dumb or illogical or that it doesn't or didn't matter, you'd be 100% wrong, all the time.

You would be amazed, but there are not so weak correlations between height and certain personality dimension. Maybe height is just a good enough proxy for better (or what women want) personality traits, on average obviously.

Well, you can suppress your height a decent amount, when you got bad nutrition in childhood and started drinking early. Sure, once the growth period is over, there is nothing you can do, while you can always lose weight, but it certainly isn't all genetics. The heritability of height gender controlled is only around .4

you do know what psychology is, right? Women with a certain personality that do x are more likely to do more or less y. It's not hard to understand. x is therefore a good indicator for y, and if you want to avoid are get y you can look at x. sex death count is a lot easier to measure than y itself (y being, divorce rate, likelihood of cheating, offsping bonding, etc.) sure it's not a guarantee for anything, but why take additional risks that are more likely to ruin you and your life?

statistics prove you wrong. some smokers don't get lung cancer, but why should I take a huge risk increase, if I want to avoid cancer? Same with women (data on guys is a bit different), the number of guys she's slept with increases the chance of divorce and cheating in a relationship. Sure there are many women, that truly settle down, but it's not the norm or even likely.
