As a woman with autism I definitely find that neurotypical guys see my diagnosis as a ‘quirky’ trait (tho I do mask well and am self sufficient) while I know most neurotypical women don’t consider autistic men the same. That said I do get on great w other neurodivergent people, and tend to have better compatibility w neurodivergent men (primarily autistic and adhd men). So it might be a good idea to seek out women of the same neurotype to you - just to see if they ‘get you’ easier? I’m not a wor…

I’ve never dated a dude I found ugly, I have however dated a guy everyone else around me basically universally found unattractive. My tastes are a touch unusual. He’s pretty short (5’5”, I’m 5’8”), I’ve never cared about height, and he’s got pretty feminine features which I was drawn to (rounded face, had pretty long hair when we met). Also a nervous energy about him, pretty bad anxiety. I pursued him cause I liked how fem he looked, this is what put most other girls off but I’m fond of it (I’m …

I do agree w the threshold thing. That said my looks threshold for if we really click personality wise is pretty low. Like, might only exclude 20% of men. Those mostly being the thick bodybuilder types cause for some reason I’ve always found bulging muscles grotesque looking (no shade - I know women who Love that look). But it’s a spectrum. Amazing dynamic chemistry = care the least about looks. By dynamic I’m mostly talking about energy. So personality but also the role the dude wants to play i…

Personally being rich isn’t a turn on at all for me (it will be for some, Ive been told before that I care about it less than most, & had a bf who was without a set address for a few months - v sweet dude). But, I can say that education, class and self assurance is a turn on for me. I like educated people who I can banter with and enter fancy places in, even if it’s just for $5 coffee at a fancy cocktail bar. My ex who was homeless for a while actually fitted that category well, was just down on…

Ngl local BDSM clubs are pretty much that - tight knit communities, everyone knows everyone so there’s a factor of safety w it. As long as people take it seriously I cant rlly say anything definitive on rates of libido. There’s so much variation in each group & I can only go off my own experience

Yh but it’s different play offs for women. Most men on hook ups are selfish lovers - they just wanna get off & they don’t know the girl so often don’t care if she gets off. Not all ofc but a large amount. Since it’s harder for most women to orgasm they often don’t climax from these scenarios. Then on top of that women face more STI risk, pregnancy risk, threat of harm from someone likely to be physically bigger etc. Doesn’t seem worth it.

I agree to an extent. There’s certainly been ppl who weren’t my type that I’ve grown attracted to after getting to know them. Likely doesn’t work if you’re actively turned off from them from the get go but neutrality can swing towards attraction if ur rlly into them as a person.

I maybe should’ve clarified: amateur runners or gymnasts - ppl who do it as a hobby or for fun, not Olympians/ professionals I like running but I look completely different to a professional runner.

Dad bods aren’t my personal preference - but neither is the ultra jacked muscular type that guys seem to think I must want. Ppl like what they like & it’s not all the same. Personally I like ppl who are physically a bit smaller than me or around the same size. before ppl come at me for that being unusual, & thus call me a liar, I’m bisexual & this likely links to me not being into ultra masculine ppl. I’m not into v muscular folk be they men or women, tho lithe or toned forms are nice (eg: runne…

Yh, but your personality, perception of life etc certainly matters a lil less if a woman’s just looking for a hookup I’ve been w ppl I’d never be able to actually live with (different philosophies, different outlooks on life, different life goals etc) just cause we mutually found each other attractive and it works for a ‘just sex’ situation. Attraction & safety are the most important things for a hookup to me cause there’s nothing else to the relationship than sex, so they’re the only things I r…

Depends on the woman. I don’t rlly care, but I want my partner to pull his weight, i.e. be employed, preferably in something he enjoys (passion is attractive) but I don’t mind how much he makes. I’m frugal by nature though so it fits my lifestyle. I’m in a decent career now but grew up solidly working class & we had times of struggle. I know how to get by. And I don’t relate money to self worth like ppl of higher class backgrounds tend to do more often. However, I couldn’t be with someone who bl…

Yh, more women are out as bi currently than men are so there is that, but I also think women tend to get less social backlash for being out since it’s often sexualised so it’s a tricky topic to assess
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 05:38 PM
6

So u just think that some women that call themselves straight are bi? That’s fair, tbh I think way more ppl in general (men as well as women) are bi than those who are out. It’s a lot of stigma to face when you can still have a fulfilling relationship without needing to come out. We’re the biggest part of the lgbt community as it is already But yh, for lots of ppl exploring same sex dating options isn’t worth the risk of family abandoning you or whatever

You said straight women are available to gay women tho? Why isn’t that saying that straight women should date ppl they’re not attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 04:15 PM
3

I’m bisexual so have 2 sides of the perspective here. Since I could choose to only date women & still have a romantic relationship regardless. But the truth of it is that men & women are all just people, they’re all the same when taken as individuals. Sure, men w red pill psychology have in the past made me feel like they don’t see me as human, so I don’t date ppl who do that. But men in general are the same as women in general, some are clean, and kind, and make hella good pasta, and some are l…

??? Straight women aren’t sexually attracted to us. At all. By the very definition. By that logic why don’t you (assuming you’re a straight man?) go find a lovely gay man as a partner to have a relationship with? Sure, you won’t be attracted to him but he’ll treat you well and will pursue you. It’s the same scenario as a lesbian/ straight relationship. Straight women might find it funny or ‘wild’ to kiss a girl once. But that doesn’t change the fact that they’re not attracted to women. Ofc women…

But it’s accurate to call herself single? Just as it’s accurate that a guy w a fwb is single. Sure, it’d be misleading for them to say they’re single in a dating scenario / implying they aren’t sleeping w others, but in other situations (eg on the internet) neither a woman or a man in a fwb dynamic is in a romantic relationship & can thus be said to be single.

Some ppl definitely follow the trend of being attracted to traits similar to family, I’m pretty sure there’s some psychology studies on it. I’ve just never been into that. My own dad’s 6’5” & my brother’s are 6’6” / 6’8”, so anyone above 6’3” makes me mentally shout “sibling??” At first glance. I am bisexual tho, so not being exclusively attracted to ‘masculine’ traits might have something to do w it. E.g. I prefer people who I view as ‘pretty’ regardless of sex, more than ‘handsome’
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 05:36 PM
3

Yea, but good looking is relative & while height is preferred by most women, it’s not all. E.g. I prefer ppl around my height +/- 3 inches, guys that are too tall remind me of family members since they’re all incredibly tall & I’ve mentally linked that trait w them. Facial symmetry & societal beauty standards are gonna be preferred by most, that’s true, but some women like specific traits, e.g. almond eyes, or delicate hands, blond hair or round faces - all traits that aren’t unattractive societ…

Honestly? The sheer amount attention from men. Guys staring at you on the street, men following me, being wolf whistled as an 11 year old Child. It all makes me feel incredibly unsafe in public. My flatmate frets about me if I so much as pick up food at 7pm when it’s dark in winter. Travelling alone would stress my dad out so much he’d probably track me down to bring me home. It’s a lack of freedom. I’d take periods, and pain and childbirth over what feels like such a lack of autonomy in public …

What’s the situation like in America w conscription? Could u feasibly be sent to war at any moment? My country doesn’t have anything in place so it’d theoretically be equally likely for conscription to affect women if it was put into place anyhow
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 08:07 PM
1

But should this compensation happen Before we know it conscription is happening? Like the original post argued for. Then people may just get benefits but not ever go through conscription. And ofc if the benefits are high, as the original post argued it’d be (lifelong higher pay, earlier retirement etc) you’d get women wanting to take that deal. It’d have to be very finely balanced
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 07:49 PM
1

The goal is to argue that all men getting more rights because they could theoretically be drafted at some point in their lives (on a Big maybe) is morally wrong. I wasn’t arguing that women should get more rights - I was making a comparison. If men are conscripted I’m fully for women Also being conscripted. But a male centred government choosing to only conscript men, and then men getting lifelong extra rights (for something that probably won’t happen), a choice women had no say in, is unjust

I don’t like it. I’m not vanilla by any regard. But any degradation or humiliation kinks are a Hard no from me. If I don’t feel like my partner respects me I’m not down. Idm what other ppl like but it’s one of those ‘your kink is not my kink’ situations. And Rough sex in so far as I’ve come across it usually means men jackhammering into you without much else. That’s… fine. But it doesn’t do anything for me. But bdsm wise I’m more of a switch, not a pure submissive for sure, so I like power plays…

Too cold. I once cut things off w a guy who said when it was over that he was purposely covering up his personality/ opinions because he wanted me to be ‘bonded’ first so he could get away w shit that I might not stand if I wasn’t fully emotionally invested. But I just thought he was distant, a bit uninterested, a bit boring and didn’t feel any sort of spark as a result. I’ve never come across a guy I was interested in being ‘too hot’. The post is about men being forced to risk their lives giving them the right to higher pay, earlier retirement, and less tax. I was comparing it to the fact that women risk their lives to maintain the population levels but no one’s arguing that women should get more rights than men for it.

I don’t believe conscription should exist for anyone but if it has to exist I’m ok with it extending to women. It’s men going “u can’t fight, we’re keeping you safe, but I’m better than you because I have to do it” that I can’t stand. More women die from childbirth than man die by war. And it’s a deep societal pressure for many. But it’s not true all women choose it, rape and denial of abortion services very much exist
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 06:59 PM
6

She is saying that right now many women die from childbirth. In red states many were forced to carry it by being denied a termination. That is the current day. But the current day does not force men into actual war in America. So if you want to compare government forced health threats rn, the odds are worse for women
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 06:50 PM
8

If we’re talking right now when when have you personally been forced to go to war? Sure they might bring those conscription laws back, just like they might legalise spousal rape again. Neither of us can take it for granted

Artificial wombs are incredibly cool, and unfortunately incredibly complicated. There’s some work in the Netherlands which might get somewhere in 10 years or so but it’ll be v v expensive for a long while even when it becomes successful https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/health-50056405

Who decides that only men fight?? The government. Made primarily of men. Men decide that women won’t be conscripted and then say they’re superior because they’re forced to fight. As a woman I would choose to fight for my country should it be attacked. Not all women would but not all men would either. Fighting in a war is a legal obligation that can change. By your own logic because there’s things women do to continue society (ie: carrying children) which men cannot do, we should get more rights …

No. Sex doesn’t innately show intimacy. It can if I’m catching feelings for someone. Which means it can speed up a new relationship (not necessarily a bad thing but it might not be desired if I’m being careful to see if we’re compatible first). Sex without feelings can be fun but only if I have a desire for sex at the time. That isn’t that often. Sex without an innate desire for sex can still be desirable because it can share intimacy. If it’s w someone I don’t care for this is moot since it won…

Yea, it doesn’t have to be. But it’s able to be with a close partner, and if I’m not in the mood for sex I won’t have sex with a hookup but I might have sex with a close partner Cause I can have sex for the sake of it or for emotional closeness So when I start dating a guy if I don’t know him well enough to enjoy sharing intimacy w him then sex is only good for me if I’m in the mood. It changes down the line
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/22 07:50 PM

Cause it can also be fun. Making love is different to fucking, not all sex is created equal. Sex is fun to me but it’s not the be all and end all. It’s also often messy, awkward and not worth the effort. If I’m particularly horny then a hook up is worth it, cause then it’s more enjoyable, if I’m not then the odds that I’ll enjoy it for the sake of it go down since I’m not in the mood. So on a regular day when I’m not wanting to seek out sex I won’t unless I specifically want to with a specific p…

If I don’t feel comfy sleeping with a guy right away and he doesn’t like that he can cut off the dynamic & that’s totally cool. He’s Well within his right to do that. Sex when I’m seeking a relationship with that specific guy is likely to make me feel emotionally closer to the guy - which inserts rose tinted glasses to the scenario. If we’ve already decided we’re not meeting again that’s not an issue. It doesn’t bond us in a ‘painful if separated way’, just in a ‘I trust and like this person more’ way which can blind you to red flags ?? I’m confused about your second bit. There’s too many factors to use blanket terms tho What if my date w guy A morphed into spending a whole 12 hours together cause we really clicked + say they’re a student at the same uni so feel safer due to shared environment 3 different 45min coffee/ cinema dates won’t let me get the same level of closeness even though I’ve technically known guy B for 2/3 weeks. Monogamy. I could even happily handle sexual desires alone if my partner was asexual but emotional compatibility is very important to me. That said, love isn’t enough to keep a relationship together if there’s too many life incompatibilities (differences in what ppl want in life, or how they view the world) so I wouldn’t be down if it was a ‘u love this person but that’s it, who they are is random’ sort of situation

TW So take this scenario. A girl asks a guy out, they go to his, it’s going well, they’re gonna have sex and he pressures her for anal. She’s firmly against it. Says no, says she just wants to do oral stuff because she wants them both to be STI checked beforehand. Says she doesn’t like anal, it’s painful, she doesn’t want to . He pressures her. U really think all men will ever agree to stop approaching women ever & just placidly wait to be approached & not care if women never approach or want them in particular? Women are reactionary in dating because in a time when men had all the power, men caused the cultural standard that women should be quiet & submissive & coy & Not approach men. This was passed on over generations & mixed with the fact that loud/ assertive women are named bitchy/ sluts/ whores etc, I don’t think it’s on the wome…

Sure, but if a small number of men legitimately sleep w a high number it explains the average skew. & yea, gay men totally find it easier to get casual sex, if you’re decently attractive in a big city you’ll pretty much be able to find another guy who wants casual sex whenever u want. They’re more on the same wavelength since guys typically get more pleasure & less risk from casual sex. Sure, but some women in these situations are naïve and don’t understand what the guy’s like, while some are dicks themselves (there’s equal assholes in life regardless of gender or country or anything else). It may be their choices that got them into the situation but, especially for the truly naive ones, it seems kinda cruel to say they must accept they’ll be hurt because they did it to themselves. Eh, the fact that confidence is sexy is likely behind a lot of that. Being the one to approach (especially if you’re already conventionally attracting) and being confident talking to girls does a lot, especially for those wanting a more submissive role in a relationship dynamic (which isn’t for everyone) Sometimes girls gloss over issues like that w an optimistic view of ‘he’s really kind to me, he’s changing’. Like, kindness, empathy (to the girl herself) is attractive. It is pretty normal but depending on the females can be cause to fight off a new lion - particularly if he’s not established as a head yet but is a rogue looking to become one. But yh, lions aren’t the best example for behaviour selection, partly cause they don’t come across big populations of each other in the wild so can’t be as selective as other animals https://youtu.be/yXb4XUi8ubg https://youtu.be/9y5eeVKz-00

I don’t think they’re killed out of spite, more as a ‘male cubs which are not mine aren’t useful’ sort of way, they take up resources, when it’s one male lion taking over a new pride of females But ofc those cubs are the female’s offspring so they’ll defend them against the new male Most of the time it’s not worth it for a new male to kill the offspring if it’ll likely mean the females will turn on them but if they can get away with it they will So there’s trade offs on both sides that must be b…

It’s just another term for it, sort of like a shorthand Lots of folk don’t distinguish between autism and Asperger’s anymore since the guy who made Asperger’s it’s own category was literally a nazi choosing which autistic kids had the potential to add value to society vs which he’d sent to concentration camps.
