So you proposed this question to survey for the MRA? You really have no evidence, but yet I can see you defend this notation of "true love" in other comments. Look, I am really trying to understand what you trying to do, but if you wanted to survey the MRA you could of posted "quick poll who here believes in true love" then done any following comments can easily marked as yeah, maybe, or nah. What is your motive of your inquiry?

...I am going to regret this... Alright, let me hear your evidence. Why do you believe in this? Are you posting this because of a recent change in your personal belief? If so, what caused this shift? Why do you feel this is an important topic to cover for the MRA? I need more context if you went me to hear you out.

What do you mean by "true love"? If you mean that everyone person is born with a matching person who is their soulmate. No, I don't believe that every single individual is born with a matching partner. The soulmate concept is not something I subscribe to in the slightest, otherwise every man would be prince charming and every woman a gorgeous princess. If you mean to say that there are levels to the emotion of love including a level that could be considered truer than lower levels. This is somet…

That is kind of you, but I am afraid things are a like bit more complicated than that. Most problems men face are societal or systemic. The biggest areas of concern are mental health and child custody hearings.

Can't say I blame them, it sounds like some dystopian society where parents are only allowed to see their children for a limited amount of time each day. I am not familiar with this study. I am going to look it up.

It is upsetting, but their choice to live with this fear is theirs and they will have to deal with any repercussions of it.

It actually wouldn't be that hard, though it would take a specific group to represent MRA. You would need individuals with a background in sociology at the college level. I don't know of many people with this level of experience and those I do are fearful of talking about MRA.

Fair point, but I am still very doubtful of this defense. Lawyers are really good about citing court cases to undermine the prosecution/defense. It would not surprise me if they do this in this case.

I don't think that defense is going to hold up well. We have seen a similar defense used during the recession by several CEO's of corporations that were trying to make their stock prices look better than they actually were.

Hello, perhaps I can explain. Men's right advocacy is not automatically anti-feminism or anti-female. MRA and feminism are two sides of the same coin in the larger discussion of gender equality. Sure, at times the two sides disagree such as on subjects of child custody in the case of divorces and abortions, but MRA is not about hating women or feminism The MRA's focuses is parental rights for men and men's mental health. I hope this helps you better understand the MRA.

Part of me doubts the individual truly believes that, more than likely this person or someone they care about was hurt in some way and is expressing that on the internet. Don't take it to heart too much, they are probably in pain and people in general are not the most rational in such state.

"Darkness can not push out darkness, only the light can do that." -MLK Being filled with anger and lashing out is not the way to make a change. You must let go of that rage before it spoils your nature.

Not most, most people (including women) aren't like that. With that said he is right there more people nowadays that use marriage as an income, but it is not a majority.

Ok based on what I found on the book is a 90-100 page essay the explains/defends misandry. The book I guess kinda talks down men at least that is what Wikipedia seems to imply so take that as you will. Really all I seem to get definitively is that it defends misandry. In regards to misandry, I am not sure if I have ever seen an example of misandry in terms of rarest mating strategy (I only know of a few bird species doing this) being done amongst the human population. I can't see that being a ve…

I think something is getting misinterpreted, so I am just going to reword it. Don't act like them (showing disgust toward them like it's a 'us versus them' mentality). Recording technology is easily accessible and social media is not always your friend. Don't take the bait, walk away. Don't know why you got this impression that I am in some sort of emotional despair, but I am not comfortable with your attempt to reach into my personal life. Please stop.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but MRA isn't "anti-feminism" in it's nature. Sure, MRA and feminism often disagree but in reality they are two sides of the same coin of gender equality. Feminism is the advocacy for women and informs people of things that disproportionally affect women while Men's Rights Advocacy (MRA) is the advocacy for the same but for men.

I acknowledge your points, but I still disagree. Last time I saw someone calling men trash it was in public. Their intentions were to invite any reaction. If some poor sap were do as you say, they are going to exploit that response. This is to make you look bad in public and possibly even on social media. Don't give them that power over you.

I am going have to disagree with you, and side with him on this one. Don't drop down to their level, it is what they want you to do. Hurt it may but blisters become callouses.

I understand why you feel that way (the risk being too high for men) because I felt that way before, but bare in mind that like you said not all women are like that. I am willing to bet it is actually not the majority of women who have the mindset you are trying to describe. My advice is have hope, nature has a way of balancing itself out and humans are just another product of nature.

I am not sure if "believe" is the right word. I think all accusations are a serious matter true or not. If you hear such a thing your first reaction should be "this is a serious matter we need to check this out and make sure it has merit before proceeding".
