My ex boyfriend was 5'6". I am 5'10". This was less than a decade ago. I didn't think of him as particularly short, and I'm quite tall for a woman. Also, my current boyfriend was a virgin when we met and started dating. He was 26 years old at the time. There is some really solid advice in this thread about not relying on external validation for your happiness.

I'm not sure what qualifies as well adjusted if I'm honest. It wasn't really specified in the OP. I just didn't think I could really say if I was well adjusted at the time, and I certainly did not have enough friends at the time to compare to. But I think I turned out pretty okay in the end.

I tend to prefer tall men with some chub, nice eyes, and then interesting features (rather than generically attractive features). Goofy ears or a big nose strikes me as handsome! I do like me a nice jawline and some strong arms though. Bonus points for freckles. Honestly my number one celebrity crush is Jason Segel.
