Same with feet on chairs, etc etc. If you see a problem with a woman having a bag on her chair, how can you refuse to see that a man invading a woman's space is also a problem? If you were a trule egalitarian then you would see both sides. Now, the reasons for man spreading are mostly out of comfort. We are talking about the men who go to the extremes as seen in the photo OP posted, where they encroach on the space of the person sat beside them. Transport isn't comfortable for anyone, but we have to endure. The least we can all do is keep to pit own spaces. You keep to your seat, and they keep to theirs. Bag on chair? Move it. Also, the risk of infertility is caused by sitting for HOURS. You can't look at that picture at any that those two men are in the right, when you can clearly see the women squished together. You have a seat. Stay in it. Don't push into someone else's space. Its not that difficult. Same applies for putting suitcases, bags, shopping, and feet on or in front of other seats preventing others from sitting.
