I am currently a homemaker, so I am not still in college. I was going for social work (for children) and that is where I met those ladies, which I suppose may have had to do with the more liberal environment of social sciences. Since my sister and I had a falling out (she said my husband and I are bad people because we do not agree with feminism/socialism but she keeps going back and forth between claiming we are "best friends" and wanting nothing to do with us), and my supposed to be bridesmaid…

Yeah hobbies seems good to look into. Its not so much political talk I want, I can talk with my husband or family about that, as it is avoiding arguments, avoiding being "iced out" of friendships for differing opinions, constant gossip about their man/men, and/or feeling like I have to defend my husband all the time.

2 of my "best friends" I met in HS and knew for 3 years, were supposedly, chill, calm, friendly, seemed like great people, we played video games together, but my ex told them I broke up with him because I was not "getting enough sex" and because I was "being immature and wanted to get married young" I broke up with him because we wanted very different things out of life, and yes, because he was an asexual and wanted to get married at 30 and have kids at 35 as is the "responsible way" (which mean…

Just not sure how to go about that vetting friendships process. It feels like for women my age, most are angry feminists. I have met quite a few women who were calm/chill/friendly, but I did not attempt to make friends with them/maintain friendships with them regrettably. From the outside looking in, given my history with women "best friends" (one would find out I disagreed with them on something, or had made a decision they did not approve of, it would either become a verbal argument, or they w…

I do not mind differences of opinion, but others tend to mind. And I have what some might consider "opposing viewpoints" (I do not see them that way, obviously lol). When asked, I answer, and for people who believe in one of these they tend to dislike me for the other. The only problem I have is when some try to get you to either complain about your man or get all "how dare he" (this has come up a few times; if people see he is not doing dishes for example after I cooked). But this typically doe…

Do you mean guy-guy friendships or "orbiters"? I definitely think guy-guy friendships are typically stronger/better. Female friends that I thought were great friends at the time did later turn out to not be so great.

We have been planning for a LOT. First our honeymoon, we are planning to go somewhere in the states because apparently when you change your name you cannot go overseas for 6 months and we really want to have all that set in stone. I haven't really been outside of the states, but I am happy with whatever :) I have never seen a national park so that is on the list. After that we are planning to fix up our house so we can sell it & move to a safer neighborhood (We have a lot of sketchy males coming…

Lol yes. It felt like everyone was constantly arguing, I had a bunch of different groups for different interests, and I did not know so many different interests could find so many things to argue about. Some I expected some arguments in, but then there were supposedly "peaceful/meditation" type groups that got into insane ethical/political arguments and calling each other names. I felt it was just too stressful to stay on facebook, since I only used it for the groups. I will say though, the KonM…

I struggle with the concept of a God, but I do like Christians and like a lot of what the bible says about relationships etc., and I do intend to home school our kids when we have them, and I know some Christians home school, but I am afraid that many Christians will not like the part that I am not Christian. My MIL is a Christian, volunteers, was a SAHM, and she is one of the nicest ladies I know, although she is not really "red pill" and holds on to some aspects of feminism.

I deleted my facebook, the few local women I spoke to through groups on there were incredibly argumentative and difficult, whether they were conservative, liberal, etc., and really allowed for no difference of opinion (which is funny since there were different opinions even in the same groups). I never try to start fights with anyone online, but some people it seems, do. I may have been looking in the wrong groups though.

Thank you for the reply! I had not thought of that. And that's interesting that you are a democrat. I am a libertarian (since I am socially liberal and a bit environmentalist), but, "conservative women" was really the best I could think to describe more red-pill minded women. Now I am not certain if that is accurate lol!

Thanks, I added it to the playlist. I don't know if it actually played though since the caterer did not show up so we went to a hotel restaurant instead

That is very true. I think people also get used to a certain level of "normal" from aspies, and then when you do not achieve it or did not know enough to fix your behavior in a certain situation, they feel like it was intentional or that you are faking. I know I have heard my own fiance say something like "you are not that dumb" and I just do not know what to say to that like "okay" (silently wishes that were true). I think it helps to be with someone who values the awkward unintentional comedy …

Although I originally did not want to admit it, I think it helps to let people know you are, otherwise they might just think you are being intentionally rude or weird.

Okay, yeah I'm getting the variety of music now. Before I was just thinking about what my fiance and I would both want (mostly 90s) but they are guests we invited so we would want them to have a good time. Idk if there will be a sort of "after party" type thing, though, since the space we rented wants us OUT and everything cleaned up by 8pm, so from 7-8 we have to clean up.

I am making blueberry because that is his fave but I think I'm going to make a pumpkin and an apple one as well for our families for Christmas.

Thank you this is very detailed! Is spotify a free service? I would hope his music would not ruin it! I think some of it is popular with quite a few of our invites. Yes our parents would probably prefer the Great 80's, but I do not think they dislike some of the popular 90s songs, I know one of my dad's favorite bands is 90s. I was figuring we would probably have to leave out the ska, though.

I like a lot of stuff from different genres/ time periods so that is not too hard for me to like. I'll keep that in mind, I was thinking in terms of what music my fiance and I would both like. But besides our parents love of the 80s, not sure what else, will have to think about it! Do you mean Bush the 90s band? Or the Tina Turner song? Also, I definitely did not expect to find another Aspie in RPW!

Thank you! I was kind of worried. My fiance had informed me that things mentioning not cheating are inappropriate (I thought that was like a normal vow thing, but apparently that's like "WHOA why would you say that, are you planning on cheating?"), so I did not want to accidentally do something like that! But I do think my parents will assume LOL they want us to have kids ASAP UPDATE: I did not put that in my vows btw, I do not know if it sounded like I did.

That is what I was figuring, since when I first started cooking on the stove top I had a similar issue, so I turned the heat down until I could handle it lol Thanks! I am making my fiance a pie for Christmas (I do not know why, but I had a much easier time with pie?? weird because I would think a cake would be basic!), so no cake practice yet, but maybe new years!

I would just ask for physical support like Laceandsilks said. I might say, it really hurts me that this happened, or I am really sad because I was really looking forward to having a kid with you, fears you may have, but I would personally not try to converse about it for a long period of time, or continue to talk it over, because I do not feel like that would be conducive for me personally to get better, and would just stress my guy out. I would probably wait until the weekend if possible, becau…

I am having trouble remembering, I know I was using a vanilla cake recipe but I cannot remember which! I know it is one of the ones in my cookbooks though. I'm pretty sure it was the Agave-Vanilla one at 350 for 30 minutes but I kept cooking it because the inside was not done so that is how the the outside got burnt. I was wondering if it might be an oven problem, ours is quite old and at the time had so much burnt stuff on it from his ex i guess (I tried to clean it a bit after that, but years …

It did but I think if I can proof it beforehand he will try it. I admit it was pretty atrocious. I wouldn't even eat it. The dogs did though, but that's not a great quality assessment lol

If that is true about the kids - I am personally of the belief that most therapy is unhelpful for most people Has he tried stress busting methods? I like meditation, some guys do, some do not. My fiance takes some time to either nap, lay down in bed and think/look at funny things, or he plays games. I know that after work I leave him alone, and if he wants to hang out, watch tv, or talk, I am "ready" and available for that mental shift from "me" time to "us" time. (you may have to do some of you…

I did make a good box mix once. He loved it, but then I tried homemade and he said I should never make cake again, it ended up coming out of the pan in a bunch of messy sticky pieces and separate burnt ones ;_; Why did he have to try it, should make these things as a surprise lol then if they suck he won't ever know!

I have not succeeded at making a cake from scratch yet. It burned and was too soft on the inside (but it was my first time). I think maybe I need to lower the heat? I used a recipe but Idk what happened. Maybe second try will be better

Hmm I would want a wardrobe list, I am still trying to figure out what looks good for my body. I did "Konmari" awhile back so I only have pieces I like but they are kinda random/do not always match well and I am not certain if all of them look good on me! & he does have a favorite pair of jeans, I will have to add that in, thanks!

I am making my first quilt! I am not sure if I matched good colors or prints (I read books on quilting but I am not so good at color/pattern matching). It is a log cabin quilt. I got some fake flowers for the home (some look nice) and my soon-to-be MIL bought me a tiny (real!) potted tree! I have tried to grow plants from seeds several times (a herb that grew up but then stagnated and never grew leaves, 2 herbs that never started growing, and a sunflower that appeared to die in the sun before it…
