Yes, your title is obviously misleading, you explicitly said that you're starting to hate women. Not at all the same as saying now that you hate this specific attitude which some people have.

I don't really see how this is unfair treatment? It's not like the women-only carriage is first class. Men aren't being excluded from the train - they have a choice of other identical carriages that they can go in. The women aren't getting anything that the men aren't getting here

I would just call them feminists. But that point really doesn't matter. People on all ends of the political spectrum have this sentiment.

How is a "feminist ally" not a feminist? Regardless, there's plenty of people who are definitely not feminists who hold this opinion.

I don't think it is though. This sentiment does the rounds on both sides

I disagree.

Other than the law being biased towards women, I absolutely don't see any of what you've said outside of a tiny minority of people. I'm not saying that there aren't women out there like that, but from my experience I find it incredibly difficult to believe most women act the way you describe.
/r/MensRights31/12/22 12:02 PM

Sorry if that's your experience but I find those women are a loud minority on the internet.

I'm sorry if that's your experience but it's not true for everyone.

This is really interesting and I had no idea about a lot of this, thank you for posting

I would say it's generally a bad idea to form your opinion on a group based on the most extreme people in those groups. Women are literally 50% of the world's population, feminist subreddits are a tiny, tiny fraction of them. Edit: those of you who disagree, if you come here to bash all women, how are you any better than the feminists who bash all men?

I haven't really ever seen this happening outside of subreddits like FDS. In my experience, both sides are a tiny minority. It's not like anyone here is presenting actual evidence, we're just saying what we've seen

That's not most people though, that's a very loud minority who love their echo chamber Edit: can someone explain the downvotes to me?

I'm not denying the importance of mental health and never have, stop trying to twist it that way. I don't think that a lack of sex has a severe impact on mental health unless there are other issues already present. I do think you should be able to pay for sex, but nobody is owed sex.
/r/MensRights13/12/22 07:53 PM
-2

Woah thanks man, I had no idea mental health is a thing. /s If someone's mental health is affected by not having sex, I really don't think lack of sex is the problem. They have some more deep seated issues that need addressing Could they not just pay for sex? Regardless, it is not a basic need like good, warmth and shelter are.
/r/MensRights13/12/22 07:11 PM

How is sex a basic need?
/r/MensRights13/12/22 07:07 PM

Sex isn't even entirely based on XX or XY, so you're wrong there too. It's fully possible to be a cis man and have XX chromosomes, and vice versa. Nobody's saying the boxes need to be destroyed, but for some reason people seem to get really frustrated when it's highlighted that not everything can be classified into those boxes. We redefined sex and gender because it helped us to better understand two different concepts. Why is that frustrating to people?
/r/MensRights12/12/22 10:49 PM

Sorry man but science can change. For thousands of years we haven't been doing really any research into gender and sex, so of course it never changed. And it turns out, like usual, biology doesn't like to be classified into two neat boxes. Biology is messy, and makes shit like a platypus.

I very clearly said if. I didn't say that's what happened here. They said the subject doesn't matter, but it does.
/r/MensRights13/11/22 01:26 PM

I don't think either of you are in the right. I think it's stupid to have "twat" on the slurs list and to ban you over a disagreement, but "incel" doesn't just mean involuntarily celibate any more. I know that's what it's supposed to mean, but the incel community has a track record of hatred towards other groups, particularly women ofc, and advocating violence towards them.
/r/MensRights13/11/22 11:09 AM

It really does. If someone advocated violence, they should expect to be booted

Are you aware that you can believe more than one thing is a problem? This stuff you've listed is obviously awful and unjust. So is the attitude and actions of many of the people populating incel forums. I'm not even saying they're on the same level, but pointing out incels shitty behaviour doesn't mean we can't also point out female privilege
/r/MensRights13/11/22 11:00 AM

Online incel forums are echo chambers of people advocating for this kind of thing

I don't see how the word mansplaining implies either of those things? It's just specifically talking about when a man is patronising to a woman. Acknowledging that it happens a lot doesn't mean you think most/all men do it.
/r/MensRights06/11/22 07:55 PM

I don't get why it's a pussypass denied though, nobody's done anything wrong Edit: those of you downvoting, I'm genuinely curious who is in the wrong in this situation and why?
/r/PussyPassDenied26/07/22 10:31 AM

I don't see how. What should they have changed to avoid that implication?
/r/PussyPassDenied17/05/22 05:46 PM

No it's not. They said it happens often. It clearly happens often enough for people to complain about people posting screenshots, so yeah, I think that's valid.
/r/PussyPassDenied17/05/22 05:46 PM

They're literally taking about personal experience. They didn't say "all men"
/r/PussyPassDenied17/05/22 04:03 PM

Where did they say all men?
/r/PussyPassDenied17/05/22 04:01 PM

Nah that's still not a good instructor. Sounds like the only thing stopping them from giving the paper a shit grade was their professionalism. Good teachers should be interested in opposing arguments

Please show me where I said that providing for your wife or child is toxic masculinity? Or that men shouldn't be providers? And again, not actually talking about feminism
/r/MensRights01/06/21 03:42 PM
1

Because it is more specific. That's like saying "why not say science instead of chemistry!". It is not saying there is something wrong with being a man. By the same logic, talking about "toxic relationships" would imply that all relationships are toxic, which it doesn't.
/r/MensRights01/06/21 03:37 PM

Just because SOME people use the term to describe anything they don't like, doesn't mean that it just doesn't exist and stops being an issue. And I wasn't even talking about feminism, that's a completely different issue.
/r/MensRights01/06/21 02:35 PM

I don't think that's contradictory because it's not every traditionally masculine value which is toxic. And I don't want to rule out women having toxic masculinity - obviously it's possible for any person to show any traits, but women showing toxic masculinity isn't something I've encountered. Masculinity like wanting to be strong and supportive is great, but when it reaches the extent of looking for a fight or never talking about how your feelings, that's when it's toxic. I misworded when I tal…

Yeah we're on the same page, nobody wants toxic masculinity.
/r/MensRights31/05/21 09:09 PM

It's not necessarily a trait women have themselves, but it's something women can push for. Like the ideas of men being the"providers" or being unemotional. It's traditional masculine values which are damaging. And I do believe toxic femininity exists in the same sense, but it's talked about much less. The "masculine" bit isn't an attack on men, or on masculinity in general

I'm truly sorry for what's happened to your brother, and I wish you both the best in mending the damage done by his ex wife. No, I don't think you imposed toxic masculinity on him. From what you've said, the problem clearly came from his wife. But you seem to think I'm trying to paint women as saints, which I'm absolutely not. I know men are still victimised by women who push toxic masculinity, and of course we should try our best to protect ourselves from that. Your advice to him seemed very re…

It's not supposed to blame men - it's just "stereotypically male traits which are toxic" - and they may be toxic to men or the people around them. Of course some assholes will use it to attack men, but that's not the point of it
/r/MensRights31/05/21 09:15 AM

From my point of view, the societal pressures and toxic masculinity are the same thing. That's not to say at all that these men are toxic, but like you say, they've been fed these ideas of what it means to be masculine their whole life. Those ideas have been toxic to them. Toxic masculinity is caused by societal pressures - IMO, toxic masculinity is a subgroup of societal pressures
/r/MensRights31/05/21 09:12 AM

"it's imposed and enforced mostly by women" Is it? I know boys being told to man up by their male family members isn't uncommon at all. I don't think the societal issues which bring about toxic masculinity can be blamed on one gender. "All men know that displaying strong emotions in front of women is dangerous to them" I sure don't. If I cried at work I'd probably be sent home for some time off - if it was a continuing problem, then yeah, I might lose my job because they can't have staff who kee…

That's just your experience though, I don't think it's fair to pin the blame of toxic masculinity on one gender. In my experience, the women in my family are more open to listen than the men. The idea of toxic masculinity isn't to blame men for the problems - it's still a problem with society, and can be perpetuated by either gender
/r/MensRights31/05/21 08:56 AM

Agreed, why do people think generalising women a good response to women generalising men?
/r/MensRights21/03/21 09:22 PM

Yeah maybe stop saying people have less value because you, hypothetically, wouldn't date them? Just a thought. It's fine to not want to date someone for your own reasons, but that doesn't change their "value"
/r/PussyPassDenied30/12/20 03:54 PM

I think it comes down to whether they're willing to change and seek help. If the person is fully aware that they could seek help but just doesn't want to, then by all means, call them every name under the sun
/r/MensRights12/09/20 02:18 PM
1

Absolutely, and people here calling these men who need help pathetic and childish aren't helping.
/r/MensRights12/09/20 02:13 PM

Yeah, my best friend is the same. But you're calling people pathetic for needing help, and I feel like that's pretty much what toxic masculinity is. If it's someone who's proud of themselves for punching holes in shit and has no interest in changing, that's another matter.
/r/MensRights12/09/20 02:04 PM
2

I don't think it's fair to call anyone who does this pathetic. A man who gets to this point clearly needs help, either in avoiding things stressing them out or knowing healthy ways to deal with stress. Probably both, in most cases

You realise that porn actors have lives outside of their job right? It'd be shitty to tell someone with a desk job that they're not useful for anything other than sitting in front of a computer, and it's shitty to tell a porn actor that they have no use outside of sex
/r/PussyPassDenied15/07/20 09:48 PM

There's a huge difference between saying "I'd like to fuck that" and "your life purpose is the equivalent of a fleshlight". Whether you think they're okay or not, they're on totally different scales and I don't really think they're comparable
/r/PussyPassDenied15/07/20 10:30 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
