Karma's a bitch. There will be a day if it isn't here already when she is unable to elicit jealousy from men because few find her desirable anymore. Without her good looks she has no skills, no guile, no native intelligence to get herself what she needs. Sure, she fucked you over. But there IS a penalty for this behaviour. You learned and moved on. She has nowhere to go but down.

There is no such thing as toxic masculinity any more than there is such a thing as toxic femininity. There are just people behaving badly. This has nothing to do with gender, sex or sexual identity. It has nothing to do with being masculine or being feminine. There are differences between men and women when it comes to behaviour. There is nothing to be gained by denying women their natural tendencies or for denying men their natural tendencies. Asserting that there is such a thing as toxic mascu…

As I've heard from men with more experience and often less education more times than I can remember, "Don't stick your dick in crazy." And that's the best advice I can offer. You want to destroy a man you just accuse him of some heinous sexual shit. All the more effective if the alleged victim is one of his own children. What kind of man would do that? Better question: What kind of woman would accuse an innocent man of doing that? A crazy angry woman. Lots of them around. Hunker down. And don't …

We have such people in our society. Avoid them at every opportunity and use your principled stance to educate those who just lack an understanding of fundamental principles of justice and have just been pulled along for the ride by the lynch squads. As with any popular movement that is built on lies you will have a certain number of decent people who have gone astray. The leaders are generally those who deliberately spread falsehoods to advance their perverted views of this world. I agree that t…

That it can happen in 2018 is very depressing. I think Einstein was so right when he said "Everything has changed except the way we think." With everything that we have achieved, an innocent person is still not safe if all he/she has is their own self and the system to decide guilt or innocence.

A great book. To dismiss this a "a bunch of rape apology" is a big insult to the writer and a false critique of a great piece of literature. Shame on you.

I have known two such persons. One came across as a serious, rational person. Yet she was seeking attention by claiming to have been raped and subsequently that she was receiving mail and messages of a threatening, sexual nature. In this particular case, I don't think the woman in question would have wrongly accused an individual. It was a situation where she was seeking attention. It was nevertheless troubling to me. It was clear to me after investigating that there were no such threats and the…

The chair umpire (a man) is being accused by a woman player of officiating her match using a double standard; one for the male players and one for the female players. Carlos Ramos (chair umpire) has a right to officiate according to the rules of the game. He did so but in spite of this he's being wrongly accused of doing otherwise. This guy is a tough but fair chair umpire who puts up with no nonsense from males or females. In spite of this, the fearful tennis establishment has been slow to defe…

I don't really see that as "doubling-down". She's making a relevant and somewhat true point. Men do get away with worse. Not from Ramos. He'll burn your ass if you fuck with him. And good on him.

I've just played sports before therefore I understand that a frustrating match can lead to outbursts Me too. And I learned on the public courts just like Serena. At the age of 14 I knew better than to behave badly during a tennis match. Yes, it's frustrating and yes, I have been very pissed off during a match. But you don't blame others for your losses. That's the mentality of a child, not the behavior one would expect from a 36 year old champion like S. Williams. Bad example for young tennis pl…

It was correct to take a game away from her because her coach gave her pointers from the sideline? That is not how it works. Her coach was called for the code violation, not S. Williams. He later admitted to coaching from the stands against the rules. So the code violation was legit. S. Williams subsequent behavior escalated the situation so that she received two more code violations for smashing her racquet and for verbally abusing the chair umpire. BTW, the third code violation is an automatic…

95 career titles and 3 Olympic gold medals are undone by this one match? No. But she has lost the respect of a lot of tennis fans. She's a great tennis player but a very self-centered individual and she has shown bad sportsmanship over the years. If you aren't a tennis fan you probably wouldn't know this but only the rabid S. Williams fans would argue otherwise. She's a nasty, entitled, narcissistic athlete. There are plenty of men and women who fit this description. She is no exception. Doesn't…

LOL. She threatened to kill a lineswoman back in 2009 and was penalized. Same situation. She was losing and she was pissed off so she blamed the linesperson. Why not? It's a lot easier than accepting defeat for a narcissist like S. Williams.

Ramos is a tough chair umpire and everybody knows it. He did nothing wrong. If S. Williams had accepted the coaching code violation and left it at that she would have been fine. She did not. She acted out knowing that she was losing the match. She wanted somebody else to blame so she deliberately smashed her racquet to get a second code violation. That is an automatic point penalty. Still no big deal. Then she carried on with her meltdown, demanding an apology from the Ramos (the chair umpire). …

Na, you have to cut women some slack if you want a happy life and have some slack cut your own way sometimes. You want to treat a relationship like a balance sheet where everything balances you're going to have some kind of sterile, B & W existence. Doesn't mean you put up with bullshit, just recognise that women are different; they don't think like guys. You want somebody who thinks like a guy? Marry a guy or just hang out with your male friends. I know men who were totally fair and never wante…

I think you are characterizing OP's scenario a little too simply. If I were to reverse the scenario and describe a nephew who performed bad impressions of Prince or The Artist formerly somewhat alive and androgenous you might find that justifiable repulsive. We are not just our good looks or ugliness. We are the sum total of how we present ourselves. Some present badly and I'm not afraid to judge. Ugliness is ugly. Beauty exists.

"something they might want to have and they've been told they can't have it." This is the problem. In their whining about it, they do frame it as a threat. Regardless of how they actually view it, they will appeal to the white knightery of men to put the other men in line. The problem with feminism is that few women really understand what it is they are demanding. Many have had horrible experiences with men but those who have had the good fortune of a decent partner have often been the beneficia…

I have reached a level of seniority where I no longer attend meetings and nobody complains. One of the few perks of being an old fart on the job. "He works hard but he doesn't like to talk and he won't attend meetings. He'll retire soon. Leave him alone."

"You don't argue rationally with the kind of woman you'd marry." You couldn't be more wrong. The woman I married stimulates my mind and can take a rational discussion. I expect a higher standard. I don't tolerate brainless bimboing in my life, so the last kind of woman I'd be with, is one who can't handle a rational discussion. OK. You're quite lucky it seems. My first wife was quite rational but at the same time she was a radical feminist. She was well educated (doctorate degree) yet unable to …

"It doesn't matter. It's just women being women and getting their way." Only a man who has never had his rights taken away at the behest of a woman would ever think of this so cavalier. TBH, I've been lucky and I haven't had the terrible experiences some men have faced such as being wrongly accused of various misdeeds towards their children and having limited visiting rights imposed. So maybe there is some truth there. I didn't intend to make it sound as if men should put up with serious injusti…

Women do not lay eyes on a man and feel sexual. Really? Perhaps to a lesser degree than the physical sexual reaction men have towards an attractive female body but women definitely react sexually to attractive male bodies.

Sure. The former is real life average. The latter is for the most part men's fantasy. The last thing I would fantasise about would be a couple of stereotype lesbians engaging in oral sex. I support every adult couple's right to engage in any kind of sexual intercourse but in reality probably over 90% of these interactions would disgust me.

Things are changing. I still appreciate being around people (men and women) who don't swear. I don't really like swearing. It's more of an occasional bad habit than anything. I think it is because swearing is so ubiquitous now that it has lost it's impact. Effective swearing is achieved through sparing use of the word fuck....not it's insertion between every few words. In some respects I think that I am becoming very old fashioned. I would defend your right to swear if you wish. I work around a …

Exactly. This is the difference between men and women and it's just fine. Women think that somehow men have these exclusive men-only activities and they feel left out. They see men-only clubs as not so much a threat as it is something they might want to have and they've been told they can't have it. Of course there is a big hypocrisy in the advocacy of women only resorts and women only health clubs and so on....but you know what? It doesn't matter. It's just women being women and getting their w…

Funny. I used to get my hair done and the hairdresser was male and I'd have to check myself if a woman came in just because she might be offended by my swearing. It's an involuntary thing with guys like me. I don't swear at home around my wife and kids but put me in a barbershop or with a bunch of guys and before you know it I'm dropping f-bombs all over the place. I need women. I'd be a pig without them around. Of course when I meet a woman who swears a lot and acts like a pig it screws me righ…

You can. They just want the right to attend. They don't really want to attend. I want the right to give birth but I don't really want to give birth. You see, there's a difference. A woman wants the right to go to a barbershop to have her hair done. Do you really give a shit about having the right to go to a salon to have your nails done? Please say you don't.

Sure miss the days of swearing and carrying on when I had a barber. Now I have to be polite when I get my hair done. Of course that's much better than going to a barber and sitting next to a fat woman getting her hair cut short who is burping and farting and swearing like a man.

Funny, I work around women all day. For the most part it's the women who mess with my relaxed vibe. Don't get me wrong. There are enough men who have an equal and sometimes even greater ability to mess with my relaxed vibe. But on balance I'd say the fairer sex is better at taking a normal situation and turning it into a crisis of sorts. I understand the issue here is sexual tension as it relates to a vacation retreat. Men like these things to sometimes. It's why they go hunting and fishing toge…

I don't know so much. Once the dog gets old and blind and shits everywhere he suddenly not so cute anymore. He may be loved unconditionally but he'll also be conditionally euthanized when he can't take care of business anymore. As far as women are concerned, I would say that ultimately they too have to provide something of value in order to be loved. Nothing and nobody is loved unconditionally except your own children. And I'm not even sure that that can be considered universally true from what …

It wasn't my intention to single out Alabama or characterise the state as full of dumb incestuous people and if that's how it came across, I apologise. We pay well in Ontario and we have had incidents of female and male teachers involved sexually with their students. And I'm sure it happened back when I was in school. Maybe the wages paid have no bearing upon such behaviour. I know that I read more about it now than ever before and I can't get my head around a husband and wife both into it. That…

Did you know Washington DC has the highest teacher salary in the country? No, I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me. I'm still amazed that husband and wife can both be working as teachers and both be involved in sex with their students. And I don't know what Alabama teachers are paid compared with the national average. I know that compared to Ontario, wages for teachers in the U.S. are much lower. That doesn't necessarily mean that we have great teachers but I hope it raises the bar a li…

Maybe in my case it was a matter of size. My ex was a tall woman and in terms of strength probably close to my equal so I think if it came down to it I would have felt little guilt. My current wife is small. I'd feel a lot of guilt if I would ever hit her in anger but fortunately, like me, the last thing she wants is to hit anybody, least of all her husband (I hope).

In my case I don't even know if I would hit back. I think I would if I would be clocked pretty well. I'm 5' 7". My ex was about 5' 10" and athletic. She definitely could have hurt me with a good punch. It was sufficient for me to look her straight in the eye and tell her that I would give it to her back and possibly harder. I've never been a hitter. I think my parents might have hit me twice in all of my childhood. My ex clearly grew up in a family where it was all to common for mom or dad to un…

I've heard about men being physically abused by their partners. I just don't quite understand it. I suppose some men are just very passive. I had a wife who was a couple of inches taller than me and she had a bad temper. Sometimes it looked as if she might be ready to lay a fist into me. I would just gently remind her that I would be obliged to return the favour and that I would hit her quite hard and that it would definitely hurt. Things settled down after that.

This is going well for Trudeau right now but we'll see how understanding he is when a jealous ex-girlfriend that he dated a few times and forgot about decides to accuse him of whipping it out and asking for a BJ. I think this #metoo thing is becoming a bad joke. Pretty soon there won't be a male actor or a politician left who has not been accused of sexual misconduct by somebody somewhere.

These women are damaging their own cause. These women were involved romantically with this big star actor and now they regret their own behaviour. The 'power dynamic' that led to this young woman having sex with Franco was the reason she was interested in him. She wanted the handsome star to like her. So she gives him a blow job and that's the end of it for her. No pay day, not job, no full time gig as girlfriend. This is supposed to bury the guy's career? This is not evidence of any wrong doing…
