Not at all actually. I am close to my parents and brother, I have great friends and coworkers I get along well with. Actually, the loneliest moments in my life were when I was in a relationship. When you want the person sitting next to you to care, but they just don't... that makes me feel more lonely than anything else. I feel content with myself and feel comfortable doing things alone or with friends/family :)

I am not an incel, since I have had a few serious relationships. Now I choose voluntarily to stay single because it is better for me. I am not even hurting anyone. For your own good, if you have been hurt by certain types of people, stay away from them. You will not gain anything by trying to find them online. Take care of yourself and I hope you will get a healthier mindset.

I chose to be and remain single 7 years ago and I have been so stress free. I sleep better, my stomach problems (that no doctor could help me with) solved themselves and I don't have frequent headaches anymore. Relationships just aren't for me :)

Omg, that sounds horrific!! I am so sorry that you had to go through all this. I'm glad that porn addiction is slowly getting acknowledged. It affects the victims in the industry, the wives, children and other family members of the addicts and every aspect of the addict's life as well.

I am in therapy (for various reasons) and my brother has completely detached from my dad. My brother does have a complete aversion to porn. Though that's not really a bad thing.

My dad is addicted to porn. For as long as I remember, he had no problem watching porn when his children were in the same room. When we had to make group assignments for school, I never offered to get together at my house to work on it. This is was a time where each house had just one computer (laptops weren't common) and ours was completely full of porn. I was afraid that my friends would see it. I definitely have some lasting trauma and issues from it. Same for my brother.

When I was crying and wanting to talk to him, my ex would turn off the light and go to sleep. Leaving me crying in the dark next to him, while he would fall asleep within 2 minutes (literally). Then the next day, he would be mad at me because now he was tired because of me. This was posted before and was the post that made me sub here. The long paragraphs, the hours crying on the phone or just in front them... I have made that mistake so many times and it all came down to the same: They don't care! I really need(ed) this post and have it bokmarked to remind myself not to fall into that again.
