But now he is out on bail and is somehow able to contest in elections But yeah politics everywhere is really corrupt. For example my local MLA (just know they are elected officials) has been convicted (not just tried but convicted) for money laundering, extortion, blackmail and bribing govt officials and he is still free AND he's going to run for another term in office.
