The cycle may exist, but you’re making an if-then fallacy: “If this happens, then it’s because it’s planned.” In reality, things happen that allow other things to happen. Or things occurs simultaneously without one causing the other. Look into Occam’s razor. If you’re still not convinced, look into “Linda the bank teller.”

This is equally interesting and disturbing. I recently started a YouTube channel on some of the same topics. I dare say I was very soft in my rhetoric, nothing aggressive, hateful, or even speculative. The channel was terminated (YouTube’s wording) with no explanation - as was my Google account. I’ve now relaunched using a different channel - essentially soft censoring myself in everything I say. I’m trying to out the real discussion off platform. After a few days, that channel was terminated as…

This is an excellent way of putting it.

Well, the gold diggers would, and the legit women would see it as a positive.

Believe it or not, a casual remark about “my ex wife and I did this or that” is actually pretty cool. I know many guys in the 30s and 40s who never got married. I’m surprised how much credit I get whenever I mention my first (or second) ex wife 😎 Also, to my great surprise, many women like the fact that men have been married before. As one girl put it “It shows me that you’re not afraid of commitment.” Use what you got to the best of your abilities. Sounds like you have a pretty good attitude ab…

Isn't it that the pendulum has simply swung too far in the opposite direction from where it started? Hasn't the swing back just started? It seems to me that we do start seeing an early stage increased awareness (at least a tiny bit) in the mainstream, that we can't just beat men down and/or completely disregard them. Regardless, it's simply not sustainable to wage an ongoing war on half of society. I guess that's me being (kinda) optimistic...

lol, my friend has been cursing the universe for not making him gay for years 😂

I worked in such an area for many years, and I really liked it. These days, however, I’m not sure how well it would go.

I wouldn’t say stagnation is my main issue - more like periods with success followed by periods of tragedy and ruin. I can certainly relate, though, to the feeling of being told how privileged you are when things aren’t going well at all. One of the most infuriating experiences, tbh.

Yeah, they need to mention that in the fine print for sure 😂

Are you someone who used to be in longer relationships and then decided it wasn’t for you? Or rather someone who were just never into longer relationships in the first place?

How does the saying go? If women have problems we ask, how can we fix society? If men have problems we say, how can we fix men?

It’s an interesting observation for sure. Even Richard Reeves on Modern Wisdom was reluctant to recognize the absurdity of this phenomenon. It does seem a change is coming - a slow momentum building away from this.

Building on this comment: I find that my wife is gaining increased sympathy for men’s issues after we had a son.

I agree with the observation. The gap is definitely there. Would I want to fix it as aggressively as women have tried to fix their societal issues over the last many decades? I’m not sure. What do you suggest?

My late father had a theory about this. He said we should try to find our equals, but steer clear of someone who’s in the same (professional) field as us. This seems to pair well with what you wrote - allowing for the woman to still admire the man, while being on (roughly) the same footing. My wife has a stellar corporate career - I’m a filmmaker and YouTuber. We rank quite equally on the SES scale, but no one ever asks for selfies with her, when we’re out and about. It works great.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
