But the patriarchy was created by men in power to keep them in power. Who? Do you have the notes of the meeting? This is a fairy tale.

I never said all men care. This Myron guy doesn't, but he's an outlier. Or he might be saying something outrageous to drive views.

Feminists don’t confuse anything. Men just generally tend to hate any mention of patriarchy for some reason. Because it's not accurate. The idea of the patriarchy isn't a falsifiable hypothesis, and it makes a lot of bad assumptions like women being an oppressed class, which isn't meaningfully true.

These things aren’t caused by women. It’s caused by the patriarchy. They're not caused by the patriarchy. The ancient Greeks, who were much more misogynistic than we are today, thought that the male emotional landscape was rich and worth expressing. It's a separate issue; attacking "the patriarchy" won't fix it, and in many cases is counterproductive, as men who express negative emotions are laughed at as cases of "the patriarchy backfiring." People just need to have more regard for men as human…

Did you read the post that the guy was called a simp about? He called women "meticulous cowards." That's misogynistic. It was clearly a sarcastic comment. Bluntly, you're wrong and have poor reading comprehension.

They were not of men claiming they didn't care about womens' orgasm, they were posts by women claiming that men don't care about their orgasm. That's different.

She edited her post here to say subreddit instead of thread. Regardless, she isn't giving good answers to that question anyway. I'm not ignoring the obvious, she's making stuff up because she wants to hate men.

You couldn’t accept the examples and did a red herring of “that’s not from this thread”. How is that a red herring when she claimed it was happening in this thread? Fresh and fit (the leaders of red pill) I'm not red pill but I'm pretty sure they weren't elected as the leaders of any sort of movement lmao.

They cannot admit when they are wrong When you're demanding that men admit that they are unworthy on an inherent level, of course any man with self-respect isn't going to admit to that.

some other women aren't willing to communicate what gets them off, I already told you, most men don’t listen. Those who pay attention to responses and actually, truly, really understand why vibrators and shower heads are so effective instinctively know how to get her there quickly. The men who require instructions lack the ability to live in the moment and enjoy the trip. Nah, it's not intuitive. Your idea about the men who require instructions having a moral failing is in fact a moral failing o…

I just see a whole lot of feelings here and ignoring the actual evidence of what the most prevalent sources for suicidal ideation in men are. Oh? And what are they? Or are you just going to imagine that somehow castrating themselves and disappearing from womens' sight will make them less suicidal?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 06:54 PM

Irrelevant to my point. People who are alone, who don't want to be, are unhappy, and addressing that should be a top priority. The fact that you think that men who are romantically unsuccessful don't deserve help with the factors that are making them feel suicidal just makes you immoral.

Preselection is horseshit and another bad observation from men looking from the outside. Social proof is real Contradicted yourself in two sentences. No, preselection is real - the "men with wedding rings are more attractive" phenomenon is settled.

The subjective experience is different for men vs. women, though, because again, we don't experience preselection as a prerequisite for attraction. If we're attracted, we're attracted. If a woman meets the attraction threshold, at that point the quality of the relationship is going to have to do with how much the two of us share values and life goals, are willing to fight for each other, etc.

I just told you. If you don’t do what I told you, I’d you don’t understand why vibrators work so well on women, if you don’t understand the difference between men deliberately postponing their orgasm and women struggling to get there because he keeps changing things up, I can’t reach you. Irrelevant to my point and I understand those things. Or you could trust me and give it a trial run. It’s both. Most men aren’t as tall as I am, and most men prefer women who are petite and not quite so fit because… most women are petite and softer. What do you mean by "petite"? Men who like "petite" women are minority, in my experience. Being settled for would be a death sentence for me, so I really don’t understand why short men demand that women give them a chance. Men don't experience preselection as a near-prerequisite for attraction like women do, so we don't really "settle" in the same w…

Because men are super bad at it and it’s frustrating. Everybody's bad at it until they get practice, and even then every woman is different. A lot of women won't communicate what they like in bet, effectively, and even find doing so a turnoff.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:52 AM

No, you claimed that men avoided you because they weren't attracted due to your height. Try again.

That's not someone admitting they won't try to help their partner achieve orgasm, that's someone claiming they had a partner who didn't. Very different.

Unless you're linking it I'm not believing it.

Until you show me comments supporting him, bluntly, I'm not going to believe you. You claimed there were comments supporting the idea in this thread and those aren't there. It doesn't seem to be a popular viewpoint, and your perception of its popularity seems to be all out of whack.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:38 AM

Because men don't feel preselection nearly as strongly as women, men don't "settle" the same way that women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:26 AM

Most men who commit suicide reach out for some sort of psychological help. A psychologist can't cure Shitty Life Syndrome - too many men commit suicide because too many mens' lives suck in a way that they don't think they can fix.

The marital therapy bit is almost certainly because a lot of women insist everything's fine until they suddenly serve their male partner with divorce papers. I don't know the exact numbers, but that's very common - oftentimes the male partner doesn't have time to save the marriage because at that point the female partner is dead set on ending it, and she was deceptive in her communication before that, avoiding admitting anything's wrong.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/08/23 12:21 AM

When I come across the next one, I’ll send you a screenshot. I legitimately think you're imagining things. You're claiming they're in this thread.

But there are many men online who openly admit to being selfish. Myron of fresh and fit doubled down saying women don’t need orgasms and if you provide (a paycheck) that should be enough. Sure, there's always going to be some assholes. And I don't know Myron's situation - I had one GF who said she never orgasms from sex, and every time I asked her if she wanted to explore something different to see if she liked it or play with a vibrator she said no, but then when she broke up with me she claime…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:17 AM

I only see people dragging Myron in the comments, so I can't help but see him as an outlier.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:17 AM

I don't think it's passion to see your supposed life partner as a constant source of addictive brain chemicals. Something is deeply wrong with our society if this is normalized; people shouldn't see their partner as boring or unworthy just because they've been coupled for a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 12:02 AM

Sounds fairly soulless. If a person needs constant drama to keep a relationship going they need therapy.

I agree communication could definitely be part of the issue (and often is), and it’s incumbent on the unhappy person to speak up to resolve their unhappiness. I'd agree, but unfortunately there's an attitude among many women (at least many women in this sub) that men should "just know" and women shouldn't have to speak up, whether in the bedroom or whether it comes to household chores etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 11:55 PM

Are they? Where?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 11:53 PM

Well men can actually learn on their own. Sure, but every woman is different, and if we're talking about women who can't even get themselves to orgasm regularly, you can't expect a man to figure it out by reading a book. Men lose their virginities later than women, on average, and so oftentimes have some catching up to do - but women seem very averse to giving this guidance, in my experience. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 20, and there was no patience for my lack of experience, which ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 11:53 PM

Sure, but it could also be a matter of a woman saying "you doing this kind of thing turns me on" and communicating that to her partner (I've done that with some of my partners and dirty talk - I know what I like, especially as I've gotten earlier). My point is that if a man is in this situation, it's seen as his responsibility. If a woman is in this situation, and has a male partner, it's often seen as his responsibility, even if she isn't communicating with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 11:20 PM

But porn addiction, premature ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction are very real. I'm going to disagree on porn addiction - it's very real, but it's also relatively rare. It more typically is used by sex-negative women (and some men, I guess) to describe any viewing of pornography by men, which they see as inherently morally wrong. Nobody disputing the existence of premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction - more my point is that if men are expected to take responsibility of those (includin…

You're gonna have to give me the context, that's not clear at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:53 PM

I've known three tall women (six feet or over, so very tall) who rejected men shorter than them, and then claimed that the men were intimidated by their height and rejected them. There's definitely some self-deluding bias going on in many of these cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:53 PM

Doesn't really counter my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:48 PM

Yesterday I was chatting with someone who saw no issues taking away women's rights so he could get a wife. Was that your biased interpretation of what he said or what he said? I've noticed strawmanning is rife on this sub. Moreover, many of the men on it still hold to the ideal of chivalry to some extent, whereas most of the women seem to be disgusted by the existence of men. I read a post that talked about how the way men breathed was offensive and repellant. It's just bigotry.

I have an open mind here, but I still don't think the whole active/reactive thing is a myth or cope. I 100% think it is. We've cultivated a relationship culture that encourages a loss of attraction, which interacts with our existing biological tendencies to produce this effect. The problem is that we have to explain it away because of the Woman are Wonderful effect. Those same studies show that a significant portion of men have this so-called "reactive desire" mode, but nobody ever lets men get …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:33 PM

You said "issues becoming aroused (maybe even vaginismus)". So I was talking about that. "Issues" is very broad.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:27 PM

Over time with even a really hot guy, a woman make tend to return to a more regular responsive sexuality setting. That correlates with the fact that women lose attraction for partners in committed relationships much faster than men do, however. So I think you're just describing what I'm talking about in different words.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:27 PM

I would argue emphatically that those people are wrong. I am not a stoic, but nothing wrong with being stoic and being masculine, inherently.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:22 PM

The balance between a woman's responsive and active desire varies from woman to woman. Also from time to time. I have no doubt that both novelty and how attractive a man is can also move the needle. But I do not think the responsive desire concept is JUST about how attractive the man is. I think there's a sexual health component to it too, as in healthier women (both psychologically and physically) have higher sex drives, but overall the idea that women have "reactive desire" substantially more …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:19 PM

Toxic masculinity, while an abused term, is defined as behavior which is harmful to society, the individual, or the people around them by performing masculinity. If you're meeting your relationship goals by performing masculinity a certain way, it's unlikely to be toxic. I think the term you're looking for is "traditionally masculine" or stereotypically masculine."
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:13 PM

Nah, I don't think most of the men in this sub would blame their own ED on their female partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:10 PM

Every bi woman I've ever discussed the matter with has described women as drastically more generous partners. I know personally that I've never slept with someone and not cared if he enjoyed it. Fascinating, I've heard exactly the opposite from my bi female friends and ex. They explained it as a reason they were bi but mostly dated men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:09 PM

Not when women can't get themselves off, and oftentimes can't articulate or communicate to their male partners what does. You have to know your own body before anyone else can.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:08 PM

Truth is, most women would consider it weird if a man went down on them unreciprocated. It's harder for women to focus on their own pleasure because of reactive sexuality--for many they need to know their partner is desiring them and feeling pleasure. No, they need to know their partner is desiring them. But that's "reactive desire" - which is code for women getting turned on even if they find their partner unattractive. They get off on the attention their partner gives them by lusting after the…

She doesn't want sex to become a business transaction ( unless she's a sex worker ) . It has to be a safe, comfortable, consequence free experience. You're not supposed to guilt her into reciprocating. Gratifying her, isn't supposed to come with strings. If many women didn't think of the sex acts they did for their male partners the same way you'd have an argument. This is the advantage lesbian women tend to have over straight men. They're willing to go with an incomplete experience. Because the…

IME many women are unwilling to answer that question, but they are perfectly willing to judge their male partners for not meeting their unstated expectations.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:02 PM
1

Judging by the kinds of women who post on this sub, no. But there are better kinds of women out there in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:00 PM

It’s probably more accurate to equate a woman that has issues becoming aroused (maybe even vaginismus) and fails to go forward with intercourse at all with having a hard time getting an erection. It would be, but people never do that - they blame the man instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 09:58 PM

Then the majority of the women on this sub are shitty...
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 09:58 PM
1

This doesn't really work, because work in relationship psychology shows that most women want their male partners to be aware of their (the woman's) emotions and anticipate her emotional needs, but to not have any emotional needs of their own and keep their true self bottled up while not asking her to reciprocate the emotional awareness and partner need anticipation he performs.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 09:56 PM

Statistically speaking, it's more likely that you find short men unattractive and are unwilling to admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 09:54 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
